openRules for costume tropes
What are some rules/guidelines I might want to know before making a costume trope?
openEdit War over extra words Videogame
Characters.Spider Man PS 4 Heroes
Originally, on April 25th of 2021, I added "game" to "Click here to see him [Peter Parker] unmasked in the PS4/5" to make it (at least feel) better-worded, but lemarhoffman removed them on April 30th. shirekh34ce added "version" to the same places on June 9th, but lemar removed those too citing redundancy without doing anything to word the existing notes better.
openProjared YMMV Web Original
The trivia and ymmv pages for Projared state in the edit menu "This page is about Pro Jared the YouTube channel, not Jared Knabenbauer the person. Do not place any tropes regarding the scandals on this page". The scandal about Jared is 2 years old now and we're allowed to refer to personal lives for OTHER creators YMMV trope pages (for example The Runaway Guys page notes Jon's higher anger streak in 2013 was likely due to his girlfriend at the time dumping him, or all the stuff regarding #Changethe Channel) so how come we can't mention stuff like "A Broken Marriage/10" on Jared's page?
openOne-Woman Song
One-Woman Song has a list of "Straight Examples" and "Subversions". The subversions aren't all really subversions, they're just examples that don't fit the typical format of the trope. Are there different labels we can use instead, or a clarification in the description?
openCompletely different title
I was wondering if this trope still counted in the case of a media that uses Protagonist Title and where the characters change their names in dubs. Even if it results in a completely different title, it's still a Protagonist Title.
openTroper Report
I'd like to report redandready45. They were previously suspended for grammar issues, but after spending some time in the GHWE thread, they showed improvement and were released. Today they made this edit, which includes at least two misspelled words ("made" instead of "mad", "demotion" instead of "devotion"), a sentence broken in half ("Faunus rights. But they" instead of "Faunus rights, but they"), improper indentation, inserting a parenthetical phrase to an existing example as its own incomplete sentence, and a ZCE (of the "they are this" variety, twice in one entry nonetheless).
Edited by STARCRUSHER99openTroper Report
A troper by the name of discojoggs is going on a huge edit spree on the Lupin III pages and has made a lot of questionable choices, such as changing at least three images unilaterally (Goemon's image on Characters.Lupin III, Anime. The Mystery Of Mamo, and Anime. The Fuma Conspiracy) and created about a dozen stub character pages. As far as I can tell, they joined the wiki specifically for Lupin III (they haven't edited anything else) and launched themselves in without figuring out the rules first. I've sent notifiers for the stub pages, but everything they're doing, the images in particular, is requiring a lot of cleanup effort, and I still haven't been able to check everything they've done to see what all needs fixing - and something that's making this a much bigger challenge than it should be is that they serial tweak almost every page they edit, such as their edits on May 21st when they edited Characters.Lupin III 24 separate times just over three hours.
Edit: I've now sent the image change notifier as well - they've since responded to that notifier, but did not say anything about the stub page notifiers.

This is a misused page: Loki 2021 All it contains is "Loki is the God of Mischief. But his series has some awesome music!"
openEditor with Complaining and Grammar Issues Anime
Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] has had a spate of recent edits by Chronicler77 which are filled to the brim with one-sided complaining, unexplained deletions, and also major grammar and spelling issues. Looking at their edits for other pages, not all of their additions are completely worthless, but they tend to be mixed in quality and they have consistent issues with serial tweaking.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the differences between these three. Can anyone explain in simple terms?
openDoes They Changed It Now It Sucks have a wait period? Film
I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask, but does They Changed It, Now It Sucks! have a wait time? I'm asking because I just cut some entries on current controversies on YMMV.Space Jam A New Legacy misinterpreting what Examples Are Not Recent meant. Personally, I find the reaction as a whole very Flame Bait, and I may have jumped the gun. However, as this seems like a reaction that would definitely have this rule, I'm not so sure. Once again, I'm sorry if I messed up both in the cuts and asking this. I'll be happy to return the entries to the page if I'm wrong.
openQuestion about Base-Breaking Character
I was checking the history of YMMV.Hadestown and noticed a new entry that essentially described Reeve Carney, the actor who currently plays Orpheus, as a base-breaking character under Broken Base. His performance is often compared and contrasted with Damon Daunno, the off-Broadway Orph, but Tumblr and Twitter in particular seem to unconditionally love him (and Damon / other previous Orpheuses). Additionally, under Award Snub the fandom and fellow Hadestown cast members were up in arms that he wasn't nominated at all for a Tony when practically everyone else was, and whether people like his version of Orpheus better or not is already covered under BBC and They Changed It, Now It Sucks!.
I'm not sure the entry should be there, but I feel it's safer to ask here: are actors allowed to be BB Cs, and if so what's the criteria for listing them? I haven't really seen any dislike of Reeve's performance anywhere, with criticism of Orpheus in Edmonton and London being about the character than the guy that played him (and on Broadway when the role was overhauled that disappeared too).

Edited by lalalei2001openCreator listed as trope Live Action TV
I found this strange occurrence on YMMV.Cavemen:
- Stephanie Courtney: Had a recurring role on this, a series spun off from a GEICO campaign, just months before becoming the public face of rival insurance group Progressive.
The above example is actually an actress listed as an example. It was added by TrustBen. I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed. Should I cut?
openEdit War involving Flame Bait
Today, I was going through and removing Flame Bait from various YMMV pages (and a couple of others). When I found this page, I saw it had a So Bad, It's Horrible entry (which was apparently an intended reaction). I promptly removed it; no other YMMV page has a SBIH entry, and hasn't in a long time. But then, I looked at the edit history (probably should have done that to begin with) to see who added it. Somebody had added it only a few days ago...
And they had also added it back in November of last year. And I had removed it a few months later (which I forgot about). It's an edit war. Which I've (unknowingly) got myself into.
So, what should I do? If I revert my own edit, will that push me out of Edit War territory? Or will it not make a difference?
Edited by Shadow8411openUseful Notes/Katanas Of The Rising Sun
I might be way out in left field here, but can someone explain why the Katanas Of The Rising Sun pages was chopped and cut until it's barely a shadow of what it used to be? It was a fun page with a lot of useful information (kinda what the whole USEFUL NOTES concept is all about), but apparently someone decided to take the hard work and effort of a great many tropers and just delete it.
Just need an explanation that a slow-witted person like me can readily understand.
openWhy was "Dine and Dash" cut?
I recently launched the page Dine and Dash, after going through the Trope Launch Pad with all the proper procedures. I just checked today and it doesn't exist anymore, and no reason was given as to why.
openFanficRecs/RealPersonFic
FanficRecs.Real Person Fic is, well, Exactly What It Says on the Tin: a Fanfic Recs page attached to the trope Real-Person Fic that lists RPF examples.
Should the contents be transferred to the main page and the page cutlisted?
openWho’s On First?
Shortly before Series.Loki 2021 came out, the directors confirmed Loki is genderfluid. The YMMV page states he is the first confirmed queer character in the MCU; however, I’m not quite sure that’s true.
After Film.Thor Ragnarok came out, the directors for that movie confirmed Valkyrie is bisexual and a minor female character was supposed to be her lover.
Now, granted, neither example has been explicitly shown (aside from a Freeze-Frame Bonus in Loki’s case). I’m just wondering if the title of first canon queer character should go to Valk instead.
(For those unaware of the timeline, Ragnarok was released before Loki.)

Apologies in advance if I missed something, a thread, a how to, but my searches have been fruitless. I am filling in Law and Order episode recaps, but I don't know how to index them once they are created. I've been able to self teach and learn from other posts, but this one I'm stuck on.
