This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Aren't we putting Hey Its That Guy on trivia pages?
a discussion that mentions it and other things here.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameCorrect, that goes on Trivia. Seems we still have a lot of work to do to promote that change.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's probably because, unlike the YMMV change, the Trivia changes are ongoing, and aren't shown on the editing page.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameThere's a bunch of subjectives on The Bible.
- Alternate Character Interpretation
- Broken Base
- Character Derailment
- Draco in Leather Pants
- Ensemble Dark Horse
- Epileptic Trees
- Fanon
- Fan-Preferred Couple
- "Funny Aneurysm" Moment
- Gannon-Banned
- Historical Villain Upgrade
- Internet Backdraft
- Love It or Hate It
- Macekre
- Memetic Badass
- Misaimed Fandom
- Moral Event Horizon
- Never Live It Down
- Nightmare Fuel
- Shipping
- Values Dissonance
Also on The Bible, Trope Overdosed doesn't have a bullet in front of it and Fetish Fuel isn't on its own line.

This is still a signature. On the Prince of Persia page the tropes Mental Time Travel and Second Hour Superpower are not in the correct alphabetic order.
Please put Mental Time Travel right under the trope Meet Cute. And put the trope Second Hour Superpower right above the trope Sequel Hook.
And in Amar's quote in the trope Compensating for Something, replace the word "guys" with the word "men" cuz that's what he said in the movie. Thank you
Since the initial disagreement over Main.Wife And Wife (namely whether Manga.Wife And Wife should have been put in the Main namespace as opposed to Manga) has died down, could Main.Wife And Wife either be unlocked or made into a redirect to the Manga namespace?
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Out of curiosity, why? We don't always do Main redirects for stuff that belongs in a medium namespace, especially when it has a name that generic.
Done.
The Bible: Done.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've always been under the impression that the most optimal strategy for adding a work is to put it in the correct namespace first, then to make the Main namespace a redirect for easy linking until something comes along that would create a need to change Main to a disambig page.
As it stands, someone simply potholing Wife And Wife on the fora and the wiki will create a redlink if they don't realize that the article is on the Manga namespace. I figured that making Main a redirect would be a good idea, since it's not serving any purpose as a locked blank page at the moment.

Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project!Okay, did that. Incidentally, I think you used the wrong Main link earlier which is partly what confused me. Or else, Wife And Wife spontaneously turned into a bluelink when I wasn't looking.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Thanks! I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! On Prince of Persia movie page in Amar's quote in the trope Compensating for Something, you replaced the word "guys" with "me" instead of "men". Please correct it.
The trope ~Hey, It's That Guy!~ needs to be rewritten into HeyItsThatGuy so it can become Hey Its That Guy and lead to the trope's page.
Sorry, fixed that typo. I moved Hey Its That Guy to Trivia where it belongs.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Thank you. I've just thought up a new trope for the movie.
- Composite Character: Princess Tamina, judging by her actions and behaviour, is a combination of all the female characters from the games (Farah, Kaileena and Elika).
It's been suggested on the Michael Cole discussion page that we add Bullying a Dragon, in regards to his feud with Jerry Lawler. With The King having shown recently to be a Retired Badass I thought I'd jump the gun for the troper's behalf and suggest it here.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursYeah, that was me. Thanks for posting it for me! Also, it was somewhat justifed as the GM had banned Jerry from hurting him. However, Jerry finally snapped and did find a way to get his revenge by challenging Cole to a match at Wrestlemania, sending Cole running for his life. Reason this applies is it proves Cole is well aware that he's no match for Jerry and that he's got no intention to back it up.

"As Wikipedia gains popularity, there are more and more Wiki Vandals in modern media. Should the trope be rewritten a bit to allow examples?"
Aminatep posted this on Ask The Tropers, but since he/she has a forum ban I posted it here for them. I'm not exactly sure if this is a good idea or not (essentially, someone in a work vandalizes a wiki, and so should we allow those kinds of examples), because it would probably fit in something more general and even then Wiki Vandal was locked for a reason...
If anyone wants to run with it, figured I should throw it out there.
"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanThe target of the vandalization is almost always Wikipedia, isn't it? So, YKTTW a new trope about vandalizing Wikipedia?
Rhymes with "Protracted."I'd say that's going a bit in the wrong direction (as is, it could apply to Wikipedia, us, Minepedia, any other wikia thing...)
Although your right, it probably mostly is Wikipedia/Wikipedia knock-offs. I don't know of many examples, though, so... *shrug*
"The fact that your food can be made into makeshift bombs alarms the Hell out of me, Scrye." - CharlatanPlease add this to Ctrl Alt Del:

New tropes for the Prince of Persia movie page!
Magic A Is Magic A: The usage of the Dagger of Time is very clearly outlined that you can't exist in two places at the same time, merely move through time.
Rags to Riches: Dastan.
I'll see if I can find some more.

Re: Memento "Hey It's That Guy":
I added the Trivia page and the entry. Thanks.
(Why yes, it's real. Why?)Getting back to these requests:
- Re: Michael Cole, I'm extremely reluctant to add tropes that come down to a Take That!, especially when we're talking about a person, not a character (except in as much as Cole is a "character" in WWE). If the Bullying a Dragon example can be demonstrated within kayfabe, fine, but if we're just slamming on the guy's interpersonal relationships with the wrestlers I am thinking no. Personally, I'm inclined towards perma redlinking the article anyway if it's just going to be another Uwe Boll.
- Re: Wiki Vandal — this seems like a Trope Repair topic, not one for this thread, as it it'll absorb quite a bit of discussion.
- Ctrl Alt Del — added example, moved Never Live It Down to YMMV. Incidentally, why in the heck is The Un-Twist YMMV now?
- Prince of Persia — Done.
The Un-Twist is an Audience Reaction because it's about the audience expecting a twist that the author didn't write. There's a note at the bottom warning that to a sufficiently paranoid Troper, any plot development can become The Un-Twist.
Rhymes with "Protracted."
If no one has suggested it yet, I'd like to add the following to the Memento page:
