Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

That sounds like a different problem from people adding bombs. Rather, it sounds like people from TRS not defending the draft in YKTTW, and people from YKTTW not understanding TRS or knowing the significance of the TRS decision.

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyAll Right: *cracks knuckles* time to cast my votes.
Act Of True Love Stalemate My reaction for anything that starts off defining itself as a Subtrope should be well known by now, and the description itself has slight leanings towards Word Salad at points. I say cut.
Bust Chart I have to say it's Not A Trope. I have however seen this as one focus of a character lineup, where the characters in a work are lined up to compare their heights. If we have a Trivia page for Height charts, that's where this belongs. I'm not sure how to call it until I know more.
Cast from Calories We don't need snowclone duplicates of Cast From HP Cut it.
Cast from Stamina We don't need snowclone duplicates of Cast From HP Cut it.
And addressing both of them, perhaps Cast From HP could use a retooling to broaden itself.
Creator's Pest I first brought this one up because it launched as soon as it got it's fith hat, and could be a platform for complaining if misused. If there are people willing to monitor it, I won't abject to keeping it.
Deus Ex Savant It starts off with a concept, then derails into a narrow crevice that limits what examples fall under it's definition. The intended trope is The Rainman As A Kid, so we have it anyway. Cut it.
Death Rides A Skateboard And we Don't Fear the Reaper either. Cut.
Everybody Lovs Zeus (and fellow snowclone) These two slipped past the mod purge. They're snowclones, and Zeus's is not even a trope. Cut them.
Everyone Gets Their Turn. Make a summary, add it to Realistic Diction Is Unrealistic , and cut.
Film Of The Ride. I say reorganize it into an index. It's a very Disney specific thing, but not a full trope.
Flirtatious Smack on the Ass: Addressing the one send back vote, that is the exact situation outlined on Ridiculously Similar Trope. It's fine covering both. Keep it.
Gentle Touch vs. Firm Hand It lists Harmony Versus Discipline as a Super-Trope and.... I can't tell any difference between the two. Cut.
Improvised Diaper: Keep, not much more I could say here really.
Incident Of Way Back When Noodle Incident With A Date On It. Cut it.
Jackpot Knockout Send it back, find a friend who loves action movies and knows of every film with a fight scene in a casino, and get that Wiki Magic Love on.
The Lightfooted: When someone asks 'Why are we bombing this' is evidence of a rare case where the normal problem of the tlp is reversed, and a promising trope is nearly discarded for no reason. Send it back to tidy it up.
Literal Self Made Man My Own Grampa on a cosmic deity scale. I'm on the fence here. Send it back for now.
Most Definitely Not Accompanying Us I see no problem with it. Keep
Misplaced Bubbles Cut the stub.
Magical Guide Did you mean; Exposition Fairy? Cut.
Nazi Zombies calls itself a form of Ghostapo but you already know that. No change to my vote.
Poverty Porn It's a snowclone of Scenery Porn,Scenery Gorn, but it does have it's focus. Send it back
The Princess And The Pirate There is the faintest shadow of a trope here. Otherwise we wouldn't have The Princess Bride. Still it's a massive stub. Cut it for now, but someone may want to consider asking around Trope Finder for a wider opinion sometime later.
Robotsre Just Better Another laconic trying to be a trope, but it is discussed a lot in I, Robot. Same as above, cut for now, look into it later.
Similar Item Confusion Send it back, rewrite it to be less confusing to read.
Temporally Exaggerated Trait That name is awful, send it back.
When Props Attack. Send it back.
Alas like a hydra, more keep coming.
Variant Power Copying is a Variant of Power Copying that sat for a full year buried in the depths of the tlp accumulating hats with no meaningful discussion, causing the Op to try to launch it as soon as it's fifth hat appeared. I tried to discuss it with them, but the most distinction I could get them to provide is that the setting is giving exposition into how the Power Copying works. That's not a tropeworthy distinction in my opinion, but rather than continuing the discussion, the op became, repetitive, then simply hit the launch button, thinking that would be the end of it.

Ye who would Tope Meaninglessness. Ye who ignore All We Have. I say to you You Shall Not Pass!!@sailing101: Would that be a TRS thread? Maybe bring it up to ATT for a more general troper audience? (I'm not really sure what you meant by "cut and look into it later," but I take it that you meant to cut? I counted that cutting. Also, what is your vote on the new trope you brought up.)
And Everybody Hates Ares is being discussed in TRS. It looks like the discussion is headed toward cutting it, but if you want your voice heard, here's a courtesy link.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyIf a YKTTW draft exists because of TRS discussions, shouldn't the first post link the the TRS thread in question?
Maybe putting a link to the TRS thread should be an official guideline.
As for non-programming ways to help:
I see the Jan 11 hiring post is still up. (On the sidebar, wiki side.) Maybe spread the news around to relevant areas on Linked In or such.
Give qualified tropers permissions strictly limited to the Trope Launch Pad. I'm thinking of how Septimus once had limited (and highly effective) permissions to help out before he was promoted to full mod. Like that, but on a more restricted scale. (I don't think that requires new programming?)
Encourage the culture of following the rules and guidelines in TLP. This may require more work from the mods (my apologies) to help get it through some people's heads.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe attacking part really needs to be stomped on. That's being dickish territory.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettDanganronpa RP For Scrunts has a few issues like needing better examples, a better description, and put on an index. Just to name a few, though I'm not too sure the roleplay even exists outside of the work page.
We're up all night to get luckyWe're the only thing that comes up in a Google Search for it. PM him telling him to put a link to the RP. If there's no response, I'd say cutlist it in... seven days.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.It has a lot more problems than 'needing a better discription.' It calls the participants 'Gays and Memelords,' so likely it is not a page meant to be positive. Even looking past that, the name is a combonation of slang for male and female genetalia, the Rp itself is described as delving into explicit content of the Nightmare Fetishist type, meaning the page is in violation of TV Tropes content policy. Cut it now and salt the link.

Ye who would Tope Meaninglessness. Ye who ignore All We Have. I say to you You Shall Not Pass!!Sent a message. Asked the troper to put up a link to prove its existence or to see Unpublished Works for where to put the article.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI just said, it violates wiki policy on trooping explicit works.
Ye who would Tope Meaninglessness. Ye who ignore All We Have. I say to you You Shall Not Pass!!99% sure that's more an edgy "we don't care if you hate us" type thing, since this is clearly done by the people who made it.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.and how does that defend it from the policy of 'we don't trope explicit works?'
Ye who would Tope Meaninglessness. Ye who ignore All We Have. I say to you You Shall Not Pass!!P5 decides that. Not random TRS threads. Flag it for them, don't just make a declaration and expect everyone to hop-to.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I was referring to "calls the participants..." bit.
Nothing on the page itself indicates it's really an explicit work... but that's more because the page is so bare-bones that the page doesn't really say anything.
Look, we've given this work more discussion than it deserves. If they send proof of its existence, we can handle it then. Otherwise, it'll just get cut.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. And if proof of its existence does show up, flag it for P5. But there's no point in doing that if proof isn't provided in the first place.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe Characters.Spring Breakers subpage has only 1 good example. I've messaged the creator, but since it's such a non-effort I'll submit it to the Cut List if it isn't fixed in due time.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Made in November? Cut it on Monday if it's not fixed.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Discovery Freelancer was created in 2014, but has all the hallmarks of a half-ass job, with a whole bunch of ZCEs and minimal crosswicking. Motion to dump.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"The creator still edits (his last edit to the page was this week), so I vote we message him. If he doesn't get it into non-stub shape, cut away.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Paging ~Zelot to the thread, then. Other problems that the article has include troping the community rather than the content.

Going back to the Danganronpa RP the page creator has made an edit to the page stating that it's "psuedo-private" and is hosted on discord.
So the roleplay doesn't exist outside of this discord server that you can only access with an invite to the server and the edit reason they left makes it sound like they don't want to add a link though I could just be looking at it wrong.
- "that message that i got. im clarifying that adding a link would be a BAD IDEA MAN"
Either way if it's open to those who have an invite it should go in Troper Works as it's available to the public via a link.
We're up all night to get luckyWould invite-only count similar to being behind a paywall for trooping accessibility purposes?

There's got to be a way to allow bad or abandoned TL Ps to be discarded without also encouraging TL Ps that are in process to be discarded by anyone who simply doesn't like it. Right now, report rogue and unilateral discards in ATT and the mods will take a look at it. That also allows commentary by other tropers who might not have been following that particular TLP.
