WMG / The Owl House Season Two

Go To

The opening theme song's sequence will be changed
Some possible options:
  • Eda will, of course, keep her grey eye from the shared curse.
    • Confirmed!
  • Amity's introduction pose will become friendlier.
    • Played with. She's not exactly turning away dismissively like in the season 1 intro, but she's changed into smiling smugly at the camera while demonstrating her abomination magic. Likely to symbolize the fact that she's very similar to a Tsundere in a Magical Girl Anime who starts out as an antagonist rival to The Hero but eventually undergoes a Heel–Face Turn. Depends on your perspective really.
  • Lilith will be included, also with a grey eye, most likely somewhere during the flying sequence.
    • Confirmed. While she doesn't appear in the flying sequence, she takes Willow's place at the 1/3 mark of the intro.
  • The worm beast will be replaced by the huge glaring face of Emperor Belos.
    • Jossed. It's still there.
    • Alternatively, King's scene with the plushie army will be replaced by Belos silently commanding the EC guards.
      • Confirmed. He replaces King's segment with himself holding his arm outstretched as if commanding his forces.
  • Luz will be shown using the glyphs she learned during the first season.
    • Played with. While she only uses the light spell, the logo's magic flash is now updated with all four glyph effects.
  • Kikimora will be added to the opening.
    • Confirmed. She appears in Gus's place.
  • New characters who will debut in season two will first appear in the new opening.
    • Confirmed. The Golden Guard is in the middle panel.
  • The sequence will still end with Luz using a light spell, but the scene immediately before it—Luz, Eda, and King looking at the stars on the roof of the Owl House—will be changed in some way.
  • Updated further in "Hunting Palismen" to include Eda's new dress, King's reattached horn, and Amity's new hairdo.

Lilith will live in the Owl House
Lilith betrayed Emperor Belos in YBOS and is probably a wanted criminal alongside Eda. While Eda is probably still angry about the curse biz, she probably still loves her big sister enough to take her in and keep her safe.
  • Confirmed in the season premiere "Separate Tides"

A character from The Muppets will be a Special Guest in Season 2
Considering that Big City Greens had Fozzie Bear and Amphibia had Kermit the Frog, chances are Miss Piggy or Gonzo could show up in a future episode of The Owl House.

The series will delve into Cerebus Syndrome by Season 2 and onwards.
Besides the obvious trend of various modern cartoons doing this, all the episodes in Season 1b, with the exception of "Wing It Like Witches," (which was a Breather Episode of sorts) starting from "Understanding Willow" up to the season finale seem to hint at a more darker, dramatic, and story-driven turn.

The barrier between the two worlds will disappear in one of the season finales, most likely the penultimate one.
The final season will focus on witches and humans, two really different cultures trying to live together with Luz acting as the mediator between the factions.
  • Hinted at in "Hunting Palismen", with Belos showing the coven leaders his plan for the Day of Unity.
    • According to "Hollow Mind", that was a lie.

Amity will be flat-out disowned by her parents
Amity can't keep her secrets forever. And when the truth about her and Luz eventually slips out, she'll deliver a big "Reason You Suck" Speech to her Abusive Parents. And then what?

Mr. and Mrs. Blight certainly don't seem as forgiving as to simply accept their daughter of who she really is. They will revoke her of the Blight family name, bringing this even further by kicking her out of Blight Manor, possibly leading her to move into the Owl House. Once Amity is out of the picture, Parental Favoritism could get between her siblings. Given the choice between Emira's more sensible traits and Edric's shades of Cloud Cuckoo Lander, it's clear who'll become the new favorite.

  • Luz already stirred up the hornet's nest defying the Emperor. Amity will probably get in trouble anyway for even making contact with an enemy of the Emperor.
  • Jossed with Alador, possibly jossed with Odalia. While in the penultimate episode of season 2 Amity basically disowns Odalia, she does not seem to disown Amity in return. And Alador is recognizing that he was not a good parent to his children and trying to improve and mend their relationship.

Based off the above, the Blight parents might be an example of how some people can't be redeemed
Self-explanatory.

  • Kinda confirmed for Odalia, but jossed for Alador. Alador is trying to improve his relationship with Amity as of "Reaching Out" and actively joins against the Emperor in "Clouds on the Horizon". Odalia, on the other hand, knew since the start what the Day of Unity really is, and did not care, and ends up disowned, which she still does not seem to care about.

Alternatively, if one of the Blight parents were to have a redemption arc, it'd be Alador.
Dana's Reddit AMA did mention that Alador would be an interesting character to write.
  • Repeat after me interesting is NOT a synonym for good. Just because a character is interesting does not guarantee they are good. The fandom needs to learn this and stop using them interchangeably.
  • Amity is on (relatively) good or neutral terms with her father as of "Reaching Out". This could lead to Alador changing his ways. Plus, it is implied in "Them's the Breaks, Kid" that Alador used to be a pleasant guy who got along with other people until Odalia came into the picture.

Alador is a Henpecked Husband to Odalia.
If he wasn't as bad as the fans claimed him to be compared to his wife, then this would make a lot of sense.
  • That's true, and he even separates from his wife over how she treats her children and collaborates with Belos.

Season 2 will see the main characters leave the Boiling Isles.
It seems like a common trend in recent Disney animated shows such as Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, Amphibia and The Lion Guard (though the latter case had it in its third season) that the main protagonists leave the established setting to go on a journey. The events of the finale will unfold in such a way that, come Season 2, Eda decides that she, Luz, King and Hooty need to leave the Boiling Isles. Possible characters who could come with them are Amity, Willow and Gus.
  • Considering Eda, Lilith, Luz, and King are now enemies of the Emperor, they will have to go on the run. Eda might have to find a way to make the Owl House mobile. Luz might have a chance convincing Willow and Gus to go on the run with her, but Amity not so much. Amity would consider Luz asking her to go against the Emperor too much to ask, and her parents will definitely kill her for that. Plus, she was set to join the Emperor's Coven at some point likely because of her parents, and there's a chance her parents are inactive or semi-active members of the Emperor's Coven.
  • Semi-confirmed. Several episodes ("Separate Tides and "Echoes of the Past" as of this writing) have had the characters visits locations outside the Boiling Isles. Most of "Yesterday's Lies" is set in the human world.

Luz and her allies will form their own Coven.
To oppose Belos, Luz and company will establish a new Coven open to all witches and allows them to use whatever magic they want in defiance of the Coven system. It'll also teach them how to use Luz's glyph magic, giving an edge over Belos' minions.

Season 2 will involve a La Résistance.
  • Eda's Requiem will be about Eda crossing paths with one led by an old friend from her past, so confirmed I guess.
    • Confirmed: "Eda's Requiem" has the BA Ts, "Them's the Breaks, Kid" and "Hollow Mind" has the leader of the aforementioned group work together with Eberwolf and Darius to stop Belos and his Day of Unity.

Season 2 will feature a flashback episode showing how Eda and King met.
We still don't know specifically how they met, only that it was probably sometime between her departure from Hexside and Luz's arrival in the Demon Realm. Perhaps we'll get an episode showing that Eda met King on the streets shortly after he became the pint-sized Napoleonic figure we all know and love. She initially tried to shrug him off over his annoying domineering personality, only deciding to rescue him from getting killed by someone and recruiting him for a con relying on her diversionary capabilities and magical prowess, and his small size and pickpocketing capabilities. After they perform the con together, which according to tradition, goes wrong, forcing them to improvise before it produces fruit and they succeed, they decide that they actually work well together, forming the partnership we see throughout the show.
  • Confirmed as far as finding out how King and Eda met.

Luz's phone will be lost or destroyed.

Amity's nervousness around and about Luz will be toned down in future episodes
While she will still be friendly to Luz and there will still be moments where she gushes and blushes over her, Amity will eventually tone down to the point she can have a normal conversation with Luz without blushing and flustering.

After all, the Owl House seems to be taking a darker and more story-driven turn, and Amity's panicky comic relief would probably not fit in. Though, that being said...

  • Confirmed: After they started dating, she became much less nervous around Luz.

Once Luz realizes her own feelings for Amity, she'll start acting flustered around the latter as well.
But only for a few episodes, of course. The episode will be an Hourglass Plot where Amity pretty much returns the favour of what Luz unknowingly did to her in "Wing It Like Witches".

Again, it will only be a plot point on an episode or two because of the series lore and story-driveness taking foreground soon.

  • Confirmed

Eda and Lilith will return to their childhood home
In an effort to remove the curse they'll return to their home where Lilith left the scroll with the curse. Bonus points if their parents are involved.
  • Partially confirmed. "Keeping Up A-Fear-ences" introduces their mother Gwendolyn, who has been trying to find a cure for the curse. At the end of the episode, Lilith moves in with her so they can make up for lost time.
  • It's possible that this will still happen further down the line, with Gwendolyn and Lilith having a breakthrough with the curse and summoning the Owl House residents to the Clawthorne residence to share it with them (formally introducing Eda and Lilith's father in the process).

An episode will be dedicated to the residents of the Owl House trying to find jobs.
Everyone needs money. With the portal destroyed and her magic gone Eda's businesses of selling human garbage and making profitable potions are no longer options. Lilith has only worked in the Emperor's coven since her teen years and doesn't know how to do a normal job, again without magic. Luz and King being good hearted try to help out but find it difficult, and there is the fact that everyone is now a wanted criminal.
  • Semi-correct. The events of the first episode of season 2 Separate Tides are driven by Luz and Eda dealing with their new money problems.

Luz will discover another way back to Earth
Eda stated in the first episode that some of the weirdness from the Demon Realm has somehow slipped into Luz's dimension, while giraffes as a species were banished from the Demon Realm. There just might be some sort of hidden gateway connecting the two realms, accessible to all these creatures, including the aforementioned "Creepy Luz".
  • They seem to be working on creating a new portal as of "Keeping Up A-fear-ances".

The opening of one episode will acknowledge the existence of "Little Miss Perfect".

Lilith will undergo a Good Costume Switch.
She'll ditch the dress she wore while a part of the Emperor's Coven in favor of more casual clothing. She may also stop dyeing/straightening her hair and/or start wearing glasses again, giving her an appearance closer to her younger self.
  • If the new opening is anything to go by, Lilith will start wearing a shirt that covers up her blackened gem and her skirt looks sewn together.
  • Considering Gwendolyn commented that Lilith was still dyeing her hair in "Keeping Up A-fear-ances", it's possible that she will be back to her natural hair color in season 2B.
  • Starting with season 2B, Lilith has indeed started wearing glasses again while her hair is beginning to return to its original style.

There's gonna be a flashback sequence where Luz recounts her past crushes from school back on Earth.
In that scene, Luz tells Eda and King, for whatever reason, about how she dealt with her own crushes. In the flashback, Luz will be shown trying to flirt with and impress a few male and female classmates throughout a montage, only to end up embarrassing herself and getting into awkward situations in each segment.
  • While humorous, the sequence will also explain why Luz is oblivious to Amity's crush: After being rejected so many times, Luz genuinely thinks that nobody could possibly be attracted to her in that way.

The Blights are gonna be revealed to be a Dysfunctional Family.
Dana Terrace's AMA did say that parental issues are gonna appear in Season 2 and that the Blight parents' arrival could either be a good or bad thing to the main cast.
  • While we don't know much of how they're affected or treated by their parents, based on what Amity has to deal with, it's probably more likely that Edric and Emira aren't exactly fond of their parents either. And considering how they seem to genuinely care for their younger sister...
  • Confirmed. Mr. and (especially) Mrs. Blight are shown to be extremely controlling, abusive, and toxic.

Luz's mom and the Blight parents will become enemies
It is likely that Luz's mom will make an appearance, and she won't be amused to find out Luz lied to her for several months about where she was. And Luz won't be able to argue with her. While Camilla may not be the most supporting parent, Camilla wants Luz to become an upstanding member of society.

The Blight parents however, don't seem to be concerned about anything but their own gain. They forced Amity to give up her friendship with Willow in favor of a bunch of cruel bullies. I can imagine Camilla won't be pleased to learn how they've been treating Amity.

Seeing how terrible the Blights are, Camilla might loosen up and allow Luz to stay on the Boiling Isles — but still ground her for the summer for deceiving her.

The kids from Hexside might take a field trip to the human world

I can picture the portal to Earth being reopened in the future. If Belos is defeated, it may be used for more peaceful purposes. Perhaps if ties between Earth and the magic realm become permanent, the children of Hexside might pay Earth a visit.

This could be a source of both comedy and drama.

Comedy of magical children struggling to adapt to a non-magical world.

Drama of adapting to a completely different world.

There might be a coming-out scene (or two) of some sort.
Maybe Amity admits not only her crush on Luz to Willow but possibly opens up about her orientation as well.

Or, for a dramatic twist, her parents somehow find out about her feelings for Luz.

Or maybe just a casual scene where Luz casually comes out as bisexual by mentioning her past crushes on boys and girls back home while talking to Willow, Gus, and Amity.

  • One could argue, that the coversation of Amity with her siblings at the end of "Through the Looking Glass Ruins" counts as such ("Ever since Luz came here, things have just gotten confusing. I'm thinking things I've never thought before. I'm feeling things I never used to feel!"), implying that Luz is Amity's Closet Key (although seeing, that homophobia, transphobia, and so on don't exist on the Boiling Isles, the concept of being in the closet might not even apply (at least not in the sense of keeping one's sexuality secret on purpose as opposed to just now knowing one's gay, lesbian, and so on)).

The Season 2 trailer will contain a Lumity tease.
It's one of the show's big selling points, aside from the building Story Arc.
  • Confirmed. They are holding hands at one point in the trailer.

The Owl House will be destroyed.
As Belos sets his final plan in motion, he'll send an army to take care of Luz and her friends, which will overwhelm Hooty and destroy the House with Hooty sacrificing himself to allow the others to escape. The Owl House will be rebuilt — it is the title of the show, after all — but it will be a low point for the heroes and a sign of how serious the situation is.
  • Hooty has recently shown he can detach himself from the Owl House, so if this ends up confirmed, there's hope he could survive.

Skara will receive more development this season.
Seeing that Skara is nicer when not around Boscha and was given a handful of Pet the Dog moments, she'll be fleshed out more and become friendlier with the main characters. Perhaps not a full on redemption arc like Amity, but she'll become more adjacent to Luz and her friends while becoming less of a Beta Bitch to Boscha. (She'll still be friends with the latter, just more willing to stand up to her.)
  • She joins Willow's flyer derby team in "Any Sport in a Storm," and reveals herself to be very into complicated sports strategies, mostly confirming this.

Luz will find an alternative method to use her spells.
Writing glyphs on sheets of paper while doing mundane tasks or preparing for an upcoming confrontation (like grudgby or battles) is no issue. However, Luz cannot always be prepared for everything, and there will come that time where she is out of premade glyphs and cannot find the opportunity to make more. Not every environment has snow or sand, and it's doubtful Disney will let Luz use her blood like Edward Elrich.

There may be material (like an ore, leather, etc.) that does not disintegrate when a glyph is cast that was either lost to history or banned by Belos. Luz will find it and forge something wearable (like a gauntlet or rings) with the symbols engraved on it.

Luz will assemble a team with every track represented.
It's easy to say Luz covers them all since she is enrolled in all of them. But Luz has a long way to go and she is not very competent with each track. So far, she has plants (Willow), illusions (Gus), abominations (Amity), and potions if you count Eda. Possible new additions to Luz's circle:
  • Viney - healing and beasts
  • Skara - bard
  • Barkus - potions and oracle

Principal Bump is blind and the demon on his head is a seeing-eye demon
Dana Terrace revealed on her Reddit AMA that we'll learn about a character whose face we haven't seen. Yes, there was the mysterious figure the emperor spoke to. But we also haven't seen Principal Bump's face. His face always has a demon covering it named Frewin.

The show already has an implied disability acceptance message, with Luz using glyph magic to get around her inability to use standard magic. It also has no sense of being subtle, as the Lumity material and religious subtext surrounding the emperor show; so this would be right up the show's alley.

  • Semi-confirmed in "Hunting Palismen". While it's revealed that Frewin is Bump's palisman and uses him to help see better, he's only shown to have had a scarred eye.

Amity will confess her feelings to Luz this season.
And it's gonna be an intense and emotional moment.

How Luz would react is up in the air though.

  • Pretty much confirmed in "Through the Looking Glass Ruins", with, depending on how you look at it, Amity losing her job at the library after she and Luz get caught in the Forbidden Stacks, and tearfully admitting that being around Luz makes her take risks and do stupid things that she sometimes wishes she didn't, with Luz, just as upset but trying to force a smile, admitting she does stupid things around Amity too. A more definite example happens at the end of the episode, with Amity, after seeing the trouble Luz went through to get her job back, gives her a kiss on the cheek, with Luz reacting with stunned silence, while Amity becomes flustered and quickly bids Luz farewell and goes back inside, repeatedly asking herself why she just did that.

There will be an episode where Luz tries to learn Alchemy
However, she'll be disappointed that it's not an art that allows you to create things instantly. She'll even make a comment about how Alchemy isn't as cool as anime makes it look. However, the Aesop for the episode requires her to use it properly.

There will be another witches' duel in season 2: Luz vs. Boscha.
It will be provoked by Luz being fed up with Boscha's behavior again, which becomes even worse than it was in Wing it Like Witches. This time however, it will be a real witches' duel, unlike Luz vs. Amity in Covention. And it will have animation on par with the Grom dance scene and both Clawthorne sister duels, with Luz having even figured out illusion magic and abominations at this point.
  • The impetus for the duel will be Luz's use of glyphs: Boscha will decry glyphs as not being "real" magic and will issue a challenge to Luz, with the stipulation being that if Boscha wins then Luz will have to stop using glyphs.... though it'll quickly become apparent that what's really bothering Boscha is that Luz and her friends' popularity is starting to eclipse her own.

When Luz summons an abomination, it will have a mix of pink, purple, and blue.
They're bi flag colors. Makes a great visual pun.

Warden Wrath will be fired.
Getting trounced by a human apprentice doesn't sound impressive and would make him seem incompetent. Drawing her a map makes it even worse. He is at risk of getting fired.
  • As of "Reaching Out," while he hasn't been fired, he has been demoted as punishment for stealing his coworker's lunches.

King and Tiny Nose will have several Ship Tease moments as meta jokes.
Their voice actors are dating, after all.

Camilla was a witch who gave up her powers to be a human but gets forced into reawaken it to help Luz escape Belos
  • Serious doubt on this one as of "Yesterday's Lies," in which Camilla encounters a magical creature and learns about magic and the Boiling Isles. She treats it all as if it's completely new to her.

Amity will be force to join the Emperor's Coven and betray Luz by her parents by getting cursed.
Connecting all of the theories above and combining them into one theory, Amity's parents will force her to join the Emperor's Coven and forcing her to betray Luz by cursing her if she doesn't do what they told her to do and join the coven and break off her friendship with Luz and the others to not only show their dominance, but to show they weren't bluffing when they say they will go after her friends/crush and are capable of doing that if she doesn't met their demands and do what they wish. Causing Amity to join the Emperor's Coven and forcing her reluctantly to betrayed Luz and the others in order to do as their wish as they please if it meant returning back to normal. Adding to this, they will tell her they would only give her the elixirs to turn her back to normal if she does what they told her to do and told her that either the curse is temporary and/or they will take her curse off she done of what they told her to do, only to reveal they were only lying and that either the curse is actually permanent and/or they actually have no intentions of taking the curse off of her along with revealing that, unlike Lilith, they admitted cautiously they don't even feel ashamed and don't have any single remorse of cursing one of their children if they step out of line like how Melon's dad had zero remorse of abandoning his child.
  • Adding to this, they will reveal they were the ones who have created the curse that Lilith used on Eda.
  • At least the part about the Blights having created the curse was jossed, it was the Collector.

There will be a Whole Episode Flashback revolving around how Eda and King first met.
We will learn how they first became friends, and what led Eda to invite King to join her at the Owl House.
  • Confirmed in Echoes of the Past.

The identity of the third girl in Eda's old school photo will be revealed.
She may be an old friend of both Clawthorne sisters, who has just returned from a long journey.
  • "Eda's Requiem" introduced Raine Whispers, an old friend of Eda who became head of the Bard Coven. Since their appearance and coven seems to fit the witch in the photo, this is likely confirmed.

One episode of season 2 will revolve around Luz's mother.
Camila will realize that the letters she's been receiving are not from Luz, leading her to investigate Reality Check Summer Camp, and eventually discover (to her horror) that Luz never even arrived there.
  • Confirmed: "Yesterday's Lies" is about her and learning about Luz's doppelganger. She does not investigate the camp though, as it's long been over.

If the Blight parents go after Amity, Edric and Emira might turn on them to protect Amity
.If the Blight parents turn out to be as awful as many have discussed, I can picture the Blight twins standing up for their sister. It would be interesting and powerful to see the siblings who bullied their sister defend their sister from their awful parents.

There'll be an episode focusing on Luz's life back on Earth.
The episode may or may not be a Whole Episode Flashback. But, in the episode, it'll show what Luz was like in her old school. And the episode's pretty much gonna have a balance of funny and serious moments. For the funnier side of things, Luz gets in to several hijinks that freaks out her classmates and teachers which leads her into detention or the principals office, and etc. As well as some other moments where Luz tries to find friends or tries to impress a crush, with moot results. On the more serious side of things, Luz might've been bullied by her peers and/or harshly rejected by a crush at some points. Also, there might be an emotional argument scene between her and her mother about her behavior at school and such.Filler or not, this episode would give insight on what Luz's life back at home was really like and how it compares to her current life at the Boiling Isles with Co.
  • Confirmed in "Thanks To Them".

What will be featured in the Season 2 trailer.
  • A major Lumity moment
    • Confirmed. Luz and Amity's hands are briefly seen holding.
  • Belos and the portal
    • Confirmed. "Knock Knock, human."
  • Luz at Hexside, dealing with the fallout of the finale
  • A glimpse of the Blight parents
    • Confirmed for Odalia.
  • The Owl Spy
    • Confirmed. He appears multiple times.
  • Everyone dealing with Lilith living in the Owl House
  • Something about King's collar
    • Jossed. Though hints that King is more important than first believed to be are showing themselves.
  • Eda struggling with learning the glyphs
  • Some major shocking moment that's actually taken out of its context, like Camila at the end of the season 1b promo
  • Other coven leaders
    • Confirmed.

Eda is unaware that Amity is a Blight, and won't take it lightly once she finds out.
There are some theories that Eda wasn't actually on good terms with Alador and Odalia at school, or that one or both of them work for the Emperor. If any of that is true, I don't think Eda would like their kid hanging around hers. Luz probably never told her Amity's surname, and she never asked. Best case scenario once she finds out: she'll lash out on Luz, but will eventually decide to trust her judgment. Worst case scenario: she might ban Amity from the Owl House altogether.
  • I guess Eda somehow didn't pay attention to the convention announcement of the witches' duel between Amity and Luz that her surname was Blight? Or infer her identity by her hair color?
  • I think not paying attention to names isn't that out of character for Old Eda. She probably thought "Eh, just another rich brat who lets my sister boss her around". And hair color is not much to start a family tree on, especially since it's clear to see that Amity isn't natural green.

Mattholomule will ally himself to Emperor Belos side, making him a Rival Turned Evil to Gus and an enemy to Luz
The kid did say that he wants drama and power, and what better way than get those things than by working for Boiling Isles most powerful witch alive and Evil Overlord? Also, Evil Is Hammy.
  • He seems young to apply for the coven (and even if he wanted to, he's clearly not skilled enough), and I'm not sure how he would do it otherwise.
  • One common trope in depictions of oppressive dictatorships is that you can advance quickly up the chain of command if you snitch on traitors and enemies of the state. That could be how a young and apparently-magically-weak Witch like Mattholomule could advance - he definitely has the scheming mind for it.
    • That didn't happen, when Illusion Head Witch Graye and a unit of Coven Scouts came to Hexside, but that happened after him taking a level in kindness.

Principal Bump is secretly against Emperor Belos' reign.
He was already an adult when fortysomething Eda was in school, which means he was around before Belos took the throne fifty years ago; he must remember what it was like before. And regardless of the propaganda Belos spreads, he likely remembers what really happened.

Plus, the rules he's willing to bend suggest he's not as gung-ho on the "one witch, one coven" nonsense as you might think. He promises not to rat Eda out to the Emperor as long as Luz is at Hexside, which is putting himself at massive risk, and the fact that he eventually agrees to let Luz and the troublemakers study multiple forms of magic is in stark contrast to Belos' agenda, even if it is meant to be understood that they'll join a coven eventually. In fact, if you think about it, pushing the "one witch, one coven" even if he doesn't really agree with it could be his way of trying to protect them; the Season One finale shows us what happens to dissenters under Belos' reign.

So my theory is that either Bump will be able to be convinced to join La Résistance (and he's currently just trying to keep his head down and avoid drawing attention to himself), or he's already part of it (and he's currently playing the long game).

  • He doesn't report Luz being a student at Hexside and didn't allow a unit of Coven Scouts to brand students with coven sigils.

Season 2 will end with Luz and her allies being trapped on Earth.
In a reversal of the Season 1 finale, Luz will foil Belos and his "Day of Unity" plan, but in the process, she and her friends will be trapped on Earth with no way to get back to the Isles. In addition, several creatures from the Boiling Isles will be transported with them and end up causing trouble around Luz's hometown in Season 3.
  • Confirmed! The draining spell is stopped by the Collector, but Luz, Amity, Willow, Gus, and Hunter are stuck back on Earth after being forced to flee the Demon Realm from the Collector's rampage. No other creatures are transported with them unless you were to count a piece of Belos' slime monster form.

Belos created Eda's portal and she stole it from him.
We've never seen Eda brag about having it so Belos didn't hear about it that way; she sells Human stuff but there's a difference between having a portal and knowing someone who did and Belos was absolutely sure she had it in her possession; we've seen he knows how to make a portal - he's putting one together in his basement - so the idea that he's created one before isn't completely crazy; and we know he wants to have access to Earth for some reason.

Here's the theory: Belos created the suitcase portal several years before the start of the series and Eda somehow stole it, maybe because she realized she could make a lot of money selling human oddities. Belos put together it was her and - since he can't apparently make another one without building off of the original - put a massive bounty on Eda's head to get his portal back. When he finally got it back, Luz destroyed it, so he needed to put it back together again. And he's making it huge because he doesn't want anyone to steal it again.

  • The part about Eda stealing the portal is jossed by Keeping Up A-fear-ances, which shows that she found it by litterally stumbling over it.

The petrified Wild Witches will be restored and take part in the series' Final Battle, using the Bat Queen's Palismans (which are theirs!)
We know that there are plenty of petrified Wild Witches in the Conformatorium, and that the Bat Queen has dozens, perhaps hundreds, of Palismans who were 'abandoned'. Now we know that Belos is consuming Palisman's, and since he ate one in full view of Lilith and other members of his Coven, it's not a complete secret. Perhaps many Wild Witches found out or at least feared what would happen to their Palismans if they were captured and sent them away, making it look like they were abandoned so they wouldn't come back and be captured (or maybe the Palismans didn't understand what was going on).

In any case, at some point in the series, it will be discovered that the Petrification process is reversible and all the Wild Witches will be freed. And when they do, they will. Be. 'MAD'! They'll want to take Belos down so they won't end up Petrified again - or worse - so they will seek out their Palismans and the Final Battle will be between Emperor Belos, his Coven and the Wild Witches (inc. Luz, Eda and Lilith), as well as any members of the Boiling Isles who have had enough of Belos' tyranny.

At some point, Eda, or possibly Amity, is going to give Camila a "Reason You Suck" Speech
She made her daughter go to a summer camp Luz obviously doesn't like, she says she loves Luz's creativity but doesn't do anything to encourage it, and from what anyone on the Boiling Isles has seen, she's Luz's biggest fear. None of this would make her seem like a good person to anyone who cares about Luz and if they ever meet her, they'll be having words.
  • If it is Amity giving the speech, then she'll probably compare Camila to her own mother, claiming they're not so different since they both discourage their daughters' interests.

If Camilla finds her way to the Boiling Isles, there will be a running gag where it turns out everyone actually thought Eda was Luz's actual mother.

Either Eda's hair will go back to being orange, or Lilith's will also turn grey.
  • This may just depend on how the "sharing pain" spell works, but either this will reverse Eda's rapid aging, or Lilith will gain the same effect.

The Blight parents will try to force either Edric or Emira into an Arranged Marriage
Said arranged marriage would be to a powerful Witch who is seen as a prime candidate for the Emperor's Coven (or even another prominent position in the Boiling Isles). Whether it's Edric or Emira, it'll go wrong; the pairing just won't get along or work together well in any way, resulting in shenanigans. Namely, Luz will try to sabotage the engagement in funny ways, such as getting Gus to object to the wedding and pretend to be a jilted romantic partner of Emira or Edric's. Amity would try to sabotage it too so her parents never try to do such a thing with her.

Alternatively, Edric and/or Emira might find boy/girlfriends out of there own free will, finally getting Amity to have the courage to confess to Luz
On the Reddit AMA Dana did, one person asked how the Blight twins felt when they were stood up at Grom. Dana replied with "They're salty, but they'll get over it. They'll have new meat in Season 2." Which sounds like finding lovers to me. Jealous and saddened at the fact she's known her crush far longer than her siblings yet they confessed first, Amity decides to finally tell Luz how she really feels.

Luz will get an actual bed at some point

Eda will start to use glyphs for magic just like Luz

Since baseline humans such as Luz can't do magic like modern witches on the Boiling Isles do and Eda's magic was severly weakened by the curse, she will, together with a very enthusiastic Luz, develop glyph equivalents for all of her regular spells. This new magic will in the end serve her to get rid of the curse and destroy Belos.

  • At least the part about Eda using glyphs instead of her regular, weakened magic was confirmed in the second season so far.

Luz is not the Chosen One ... Willow is!

Rather than choose Luz to be his voice and/or champion, the Titan will choose Willow to counter the threat of Emperor Belos. Whether the Titan did or did not choose Belos in the first place, she will be the Titan's agent to either replace him or punish him for his deceptions, and restore its will to the Isles' culture.

  • Willow is the only person in the series so far - besides Belos - who has used magic without a circle, even from her first appearance. This is quite possibly an example of raw wild magic, which she would be using instinctively and this make her a prime candidate to directly serve the Titan. Even her eyes turning green when using it could be a parallel to Belos's eyes after he consumes a palisman.
    • When Willow finds out and tells the rest of the group, Luz will gladly support Willow's quest, though inside she will also be hurt and confused. Eda, as the person most familiar with the events of "Witches Before Wizards," will have a talk with Luz about her feelings. Luz will confess to feeling unworthy to help the Isles, as she is not a noative and is considered a screw-up on Earth. Eda will ruffle her hair and reiterate her wisdom on not doing something just because of a prophecy, and will remind Luz that Willow's new path is not going to be easy - she will need all of her friends to help her, especially luz who has made such an impact on Willow's life since they met.

The Bat Queen will bankroll an anti-Belos resistance movement that will emerge...
...when she finds out how Belos is killing palismans to use their magic to sustain himself because she sees herself as a guardian of all palismans.
  • Alternatively, she already knew about it, hence why she and the other palismans were in hiding.

Belos is Related to Luz, or at least Latino/Hispanic
Belos sounds like a Hispanic surname, especially if you compare it with other Spanish names that end in S like Carlos and Amos. Sure it's a stretch, but it works with the theory that Belos is a human.
  • Other evidence to support that Belos is a human is that he must drink Palisman magic to stay alive, and his body must be far beyond decay, as he arrived in the Boiling Isles 50 Years ago. Thus if he is related to Luz, he will be revealed to be Luz's grandfather.
  • Kinda nitpicky, but Belos has a pronounced British accent, courtesy of Matthew Rhys. He still could be related to Luz on her father's side.

The "Owl Knight" in the second season's opening is connected to Eda or Eda's curse
He looks similar to Eda in many ways (eye color, hair color, owl motif) so he could possibly be related to her... but since Eda was originally a redhead whose hair became gray because of her curse, another possibility is that he could have the same curse as her.

Luz will return to Earth midway through the season.
The first half of the season will take place on the Boiling Isles, but at the midpoint, Luz will find a way back to Earth and (possibly after a season break) the remaining episodes will take place there.
  • Eda, King, Willow, Gus and Amity will follow her there and all of them will wind up trapped on Earth because whatever Luz used to return will be one time only. They'll deal with Creepy Luz and whatever was responsible for her while they're there. This will help Belos' plans because they're gone but will also hinder them because Luz took the key to the Portal Door with her.

There will be a Superstition Episode
In a change of pace, there will be an episode that explores the concept of superstition in the lens of a fantasy setting. Luz will anger Boscha in some kind of game of chance (or beats Boscha at something). Boscha, being the jerk she is, applies a potion that she claims curses the victim with terrible luck, and it produces a smokey effect. Luz is skeptical because she doesn’t feel any different, but Gus believes Luz is cursed. Willow doesn’t believe the curse even works. Then bad luck happens to Luz left and right, which Luz dismisses as coincidence, then Luz starts to consider that magic is involved. In the meantime, others avoid Luz because of her “curse”. After another incident where Luz almost gets hurt, and she goes to Eda for help, but her magic detects absolutely nothing wrong with Luz and tells her she isn’t cursed. Luz then reluctantly goes to Lilith for help, knowing she’s a better expert. Luz gives as many details as she can, to which Lilith explains that those kinds of curses come down to how much one believes in them or not, and she can tell Luz believes in this curse more than she thinks she does, and her denial is only making it worse. Eventually, Luz comes to terms with this curse and rejects her belief in it and things get better. Luz then decides to give Boscha a taste of her own medicine by making a similar phony potion and applies it all around her, telling her now she is cursed. People end up avoiding her, and then she finds out she’s grounded for a month, and Boscha ends up believing in the curse, showing she is indeed superstitious. The episode presents the idea about how mundane superstitions on Earth are just as mundane in the Boiling Isles, and thus not everything irrational is because of magic.

The Golden Guard is some kind of clone of Belos
Relationships between parents and children are reoccurring in the show, so the villain's relationships should be on the opposite end of the spectrum from Luz's and Eda's love for each other, and Amity breaking free from under Odalia's thumb. Belos created the Golden Guard to be a lackey who owed his existence to him and would never consider insubordination.
  • Golden Guard a.k.a. Hunter likely isn't a clone of Belos, but a clone at least partially based on Belos'/Philip's brother/friend from his memories in "Hollow Mind".

Gus is gonna develop a crush on one of the Glandus students in an upcoming episode.
In a recent trailer/promo, he's shown blushing while talking to the group.

The Golden Guard will infiltrate Hexside.
Given that he was specifically mentioned as being a Teen Genius in the season premiere, there will an episode where he masquerades as a new student at the school in order to get closer to Luz and her friends. Since his face is partially visible in the show's opening, the audience will made aware that it's him from the start, with a lot of the episode's tension coming from seeing the heroes unknowingly interact with one of their enemies.
  • Confirmed: in "Any Sport in a Storm," he goes undercover at Hexside to try to find new recruits for the Emperor's Coven.

Emperor Belos will be after the key to Eda's door.
When Belos finishes reassembling the door, he'll discover that he can't use it without the key, which is still in Luz's possession, and will try to retrieve it, possibly by sending the Golden Guard after it. At some point, he'll try to build a replica of the key—as shown in this brief shot from the trailer—but he'll be unsuccessful.
  • Confirmed: He tries exactly this in "Eclipse Lake." He'll also have to make a replica from scratch, as it's damaged and rendered nonfunctional by the episode's end.
    • He managed to repair the door and get the key with at least a bit of the titan's blood in it.

If Belos somehow does activate the door without Luz's key (or manages to claim it without her realizing he has), Luz will be clued into the door being repaired by her text videos going through.
The door was Luz's only means of cell reception, so its destruction cut her off from that. This has been shown to have prevented the videos in her messaging app from reaching her mother. If she looks at the message app and sees the videos delivered, she'll know the only way that could've happened is if Belos managed to repair the door.

There are more glyphs to learn
Does anyone really believe those four glyphs are all there is? I doubt it. When they learn a fifth glyph one of them will call King on him being wrong.
  • Semi-jossed. There are only four "main" glyphs, but they can be combined for various effects.

Eda's "super-glyph" will be used later on.
During a tough fight—possibly against the Emperor Coven's new Abomi-tons—Eda will break out the glyph as a desparate last ditch attack.

There will be a Heist Episode or two
Lilith will have found out from various mook chatter there is critical information involving the Emperor’s plans, and it’s in a briefcase Odalia owns. First, Luz convinces Amity to get a key to her mansion. But, Amity will run into a bit of trouble because her parents have revoked hers, Edric and Emira’s house keys as a safety measure, so now only Odalia and Alador have keys. Once Amity gets a key for Luz, she and King sneak into the Blight Manor without getting seen. Luz finds the briefcase, the combination of which she guesses to be Amity’s birthday. She finds the information and takes pictures with her phone. Unfortunately as she exits, she finds King tied up, and Odalia shows up and has one of her guards subdue Luz. Luz and King are brought to an undisclosed location, where the Golden Guard chews Odalia out for letting the two break into her manor, but tells her she’s lucky that Emperor Belos has been looking especially for Luz. The Golden Guard tells Luz that she was warned what would happen if she defied the Emperor, and just as he figures out what he’s supposed to do with her, Eda and Lilith come and rescue Luz and King. Lilith then reveals she planted a magic homing beacon on King so that they can track the two down in case of an emergency.

The Blights will end up losing everything.
Building an Abomi-ton army for Belos will end up draining all their resources, leaving them unable to produce anything else, and despite what the Golden Guard said, the Blights will be forced to pay for most of the costs themselves, wiping out their fortune and ruining Blight Industries. Belos will be completely unsympathetic to their plight and simply cut them loose once they complete his army—which will end up backfiring on him and cause the Blights to aid the heroes by telling them how to defeat the Abomi-tons.

Alador and Odalia will strike another deal with Luz, with Amity as the subject
Two scenarios:

  • In exchange for bringing Eda to them or another morally dubious thing, they will let Luz continue being friends (or take a Relationship Upgrade) with Amity.
  • After they captured Eda, they will offer to free her if Luz breaks off contact with Amity.

Odalia will try another attempt to kill Luz
She only said that she would let Luz, Willow, and Gus back into Hexside, she never did promise she wouldn't try to get rid of Luz again.

Lilith will transform into her Owl Beast form in "Keeping Up A-fear-ances".
The synopsis says that "an unwelcome visit from a family member who puts a strain on everyone in the Owl House" and the trailer indicates that the family member is Eda and Lilith's mother. So the stress of seeing her mother again after so many years will cause Lilith to succumb to the curse for the first time and everyone will have to work together to restore her back to normal (with Eda, Lilith, and Ma Clawthorne working through their issues with each other in the process).
  • Confirmed.

The Golden Guard would love Burger Queen if he ever ended up on Earth

Jean-Luc is the old magic equivalent of an abomination
They possess similar gooey structure, shapeshifting powers, and seemingly fill the same role as guard constructs, the Blights will likely attempt to get there hands on it for this reason.

We've seen Creepy Luz's true identity already - or, at least, it's been implied
Emperor Belos is clearly unable to access Earth without Eda's portal, meaning the chances he's behind creepy Luz are incredibly slim. And with the reveal of Titan's Blood, it's possible that someone who had seen Luz around the Boiling Isles used it to go to Earth, somehow disguised themselves as Luz and is taking over her life - for some unexplained reason.Considering that the first season spans just over a month, and Luz's mother has recived quite a few letters, it stands to reason that this person would have encountered Luz early on - most likely in the first few episodes. So here are the suspects:

Ep 1 - An escaped prisoner of the Conformatorium.Even if the facility is run by Belos' followers, it is still a prison, meaning that there is a good chance that someone who deserved to be in there got out during the confusion. Also, while Big Nose and the Eye-Ball eating demon have been seen around Bonesborough,, the fanfic prisoner has been suspicously absent considering that - out of the three prisoners - she had the most focus on her. Of course, if it is her, then her intentions would be far less malevolent than they appear - maybe she's just trying to pay Luz back for busting her out?

Ep 2 - Adegast. The puppets he created to trick Luz were amazingly lifelike, so if creepy Luz is fake, she could be one. While we did see Eda eat him at the end of the episode, there's a chance he could have survived or - much more likely - there's someone else who knows that kind of magic.

  • The Emperor could've created Creepy Luz and slipped her through the portal when Eda was sending Owlbert to obtain trash from the human world.

    • The first paragraph is completely confirmed: "Yesterday's Lies" reveals the identity and backstory of Luz's impersonator. Aside from escaping from extermination via one of Belos's schemes, she had nothing to do with him. She just happened to be nearby when the portal appeared bringing Luz over, memorized her appearance, jumped into the portal, and shapeshifted into Luz to remain in hiding from Belos. The other possibilities are Jossed though; the impersonator is Vee, a character we hadn't seen prior (except as Luz's impersonator).

Creepy Luz will make Camilia regret trying to send Luz to the reality check camp.
Even after she inevitably learns that was an imposter, its behavior will leave an impression on her regarding how the real Luz could've turned out had she gone.

Creepy Luz will be a tragic antagonist

So far we have not seen the doppelganger do anything evil or harmful beyond stealing Luz' life for herself. Ultimately she just wants to live and Luz will figure out a way for both of them to coexist.

  • Confirmed.

The cure will turn the Involuntary Shapeshifting of Lilith and Eda into the beasts into Voluntary Shapeshifting
And both will use it as a super and/or flight mode.
  • The cure will allow them to turn the avatar of the owl beast from an enemy into an ally not unlike Naruto turned Kurama from an enemy into an ally granting him a super mode.
  • Keeping with the theme that the curse can't be cured, only managed, the two will still have to work to avoid being overwhelmed by their inner beasts' instincts and still suffer from some negative side effects, though they won't have to worry about randomly transforming anymore.
    • For some odd reason, I always compared this possibility to the Werehog form, particularly the final battle against the ghost duo in Sonic: Night of the Werehog. Regardless, may the Titan have mercy on whoever Eda & Lilith go after should this be the case, especially if they fully regain their magic.
    • In the eighth episode of the second season, something like that happened: It was revealed that the owl beast was actually bound to a curse and thus accidentally sealed in Eda not unlike Kurama in Naruto and Eda was able to come to some understanding with the beast and gained a flying mode as a result (apparently still could turn into a mindless owl beast, so she continues to take the elixir).
    • By the 14th episode, she learned how to reverse a partial or complete transformation into "Harpy Eda" without having to drink an elixir.

Ideas for if they get trapped on Earth

Lilith will track down the original creator of the curse
  • Lilith said she would study the curse in order to synthesize a cure. She will likely have saved the scroll she used to curse Eda, to find anything that could help. Dead end after dead end, she and Gwendolyn decide the only option left is to track down the original creator and interrogate them about what was used to create the curse, assuming it is not the Blights.

Many people will prefer Creepy Luz over the real deal in the human world.
  • Everybody back on Luz's old school will prefer the doppelganger for being far more normal than the real Luz. It might also help that the doppelganger never brought a horde of snakes into school and everybody thinks this is Luz who has learned her lesson.
    • Confirmed, she made some real friends during the summer camp.
      • Yes, but these were friends that Vee met at camp. There is no confirmation of whether anyone who knew Luz before she went to the Boiling Isles prefers Vee over Luz (though that seems likely).

Luz will be tempted to leave her old life behind.
  • She will notice that Creepy Luz does seem to make everybody happy and appears to be the daughter Camila always wanted, causing a major breakdown for the young heroine and might even drive her to run back to Eda for the time being.
    • Confirmed, she is very willing to let the imposter live her life for the time being. She only reveals herself to her mother when that very imposter is in danger.

Luz will take her mother to the Boiling Isles.
  • After exposing the imposter, Luz will have to take Camila to the Boiling Isles to escape from the enraged creature, revealing to her mother what she's really been doing over the summer. This will lead to a string of episodes where Camila stays at the Owl House and has some adventures with her daughter.
    • Jossed for now since Luz could not use a fully functional portal, bringing back her mother was not an option.
      • Un-Jossed: Camila came back to the Boiling Isles with Luz.

Camila will have a Be Careful What You Wish For moment
The Luz who is currently with Camila, Creepy Luz, must act as the Luz that went to summer camp and now acts as her mother claims as normal. However, as time goes on and Creepy Luz continues to act "normal" Camila will start to regret her decision, wishing that she never tried to send Luz to camp in the first place.
  • Confirmed, Camila appears regretful over how much camp seemingly changed Luz.

Luz, Eda and King will visit Lilith and Gwendolyn

Raine is a member of an anti-Belos paramilitary group who want to cure Eda's curse, too

Raine Whispers, Eda's old schoolmate (the one with teal hair who was shown to lock hands with Eda, was later shown to hold a violin and is likely part of the group of witches wearing these bat masks shown in preview screencaps of episode five of season two) will visit their old schoolmate, offer to either cure the curse or teach Eda how to control the curse (no more Involuntary Shapeshifting and when she's transformed, she will be able to remain conscious and in control of her body) if she joins their anti-Belos militia. When Eda hesitates, Raine says that their group will help her anyway, because even if Eda doesn't become a member of the militia, two enemies of Belos, both very powerful witches, will be returned to full power and that's good enough, too.

  • Partly confirmed as Raine is indeed a part of an anti-Belos group, but the group isn't a paramilitary or militant (although Raine themselves is militant enough to try to assassinate coven heads to prevent Belos' day of unity "spell" at the cost of their life) organization (yet?) and has no means of curing or controlling Eda and Lilith's curse (yet?).

Luz and Golden Guard will become Bash Siblings

Luz will get a palismen, and it's going to be a reptile.
Alternatively, the echo mouse will be her honorary palisman.
  • Confirmed: It's Stringbean, the shapeshifting snake!

Emperor Belos is Philip Wittebane
They have the same accent and way of speaking. And it's clear the animators are making an effort to hide Belos's ears.
  • Confirmed!

Philip Wittebane wasn't the first human on the Boiling Isles
Or at least not the one Gwendolyn was referring to.

We will get an upgraded version the intro for the second half of the season.
It will include King with two horns, Amity without the necklace and with the new hair and whatever small changes occur until then.
  • Confirmed in "Hunting Palismen", which also includes Eda's new dress and, in addition to Amity having a different necklace, her new hairdo.

Luz and Amity will have an Almost Kiss before getting an actual kiss.
Perhaps they get caught up in a moment together after a particular adventure or danger of some sort and begin to lean towards the other... only for Eda, King, or Hooty to unknowingly interrupt them,, causing to the two to jump apart very quickly and blush very red.

Amity will kiss Luz on the cheek again or Luz will kiss Amity on the cheek
Possibly proceeding a lip kiss.
  • As of now both of them kissed the other on the cheek.

Amity will spend Hunting Palismen avoiding Luz, while Luz will be too nervous to try to force a meeting
Confirmed. Amity skips school to avoid meeting Luz.

Luz and Willow will recieve updated character designs.
So far this season, Eda and Lilith gained new outfits, Gus got an slightly aged-up design, Amity dyed her hair a new color, and even King got his other horn back. So Luz and Willow will likewise recieve updates to their designs. For Willow, this could involve her having her eyes corrected with magic and no longer needing glasses while Luz could possibly pick up a new outfit whem she returns to Earth.
  • Confirmed in Willow’s case. For the second half of Season 2, she gains a new twin-braid hairstyle and new golden-rimmed glasses.

The house on the Human Realm side of the portal will be further explored after Luz manages to make a way back home.
Given the old house has been given some focus during the few scenes it has appered in, coupled with the fact that the show's crew even designed an entire house for the portal to connect to, suggests there's some plot-importance to it. And we still have yet to see its interior, since we never see anyone go through the door when the portal is inactive, so that may change in a future appearance. Further theory, the house could've belonged to Philip Wittebane, since the portal he allegedly created links to it.
  • The interior of the house does get seen in "Yesterday's Lie". And while we don't learn anything new about it, that may change in the future.

Odalia will force Amity to dye her hair back to green - though it won't last one.
It was implied that Odalia wouldn't approve of her daughter's new look.
  • She already was doing that, as shown in “Reaching Out”.

Odalia initially won't notice Amity's new hair color.
She and her husband will be too distracted with trying to make Belo's Abomi-ton army to notice it until some time later.

Lilith's mindscape
Lilith's curse will personify in her mind differently from the way it does in Eda's: Instead of being pursued by her inner beast, Lilith will be pinned down by it, forcing her to watch as it controls her body. This will turn out to represent how Lilith feels weighed down by the guilt and shame she feels over cursing Eda and her actions while part of the Emperor's Coven. She'll be only able to fight back once she's forgiven herself and accepted that she's changed for the better since then.

A Palisman will allow Luz to use wild magic on earth
Its stated they are basically made of wild magic, so logically they should be a little portaple source of wild magic to fuel her runes.

"Eclipse Lake" will involve Amity fighting the Golden Guard.
The Guard is sent to collect the portal door ingredient, and Amity (as per the summary) is the one going up against him. This will come to a head with Hunter being reminded of the events of "Hunting Palismen" and letting Amity win.
  • Confirmed, but Jossed on the outcome. Hunter manages to win in the end, though Amity does manage to score a small victory for herself.

Luz and Amity will not have a Relationship Upgrade in "Eclipse Lake".
While they'll finally talk again, Luz—who is still uncertain about her future—will decide to wait until after she returns to Earth before she commits to a relationship with Amity. Amity will understand and respect her decision.
  • Technically Confirmed and Jossed. They do get a Relationship Upgrade but it actually happens before that in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door".

What animal will Luz's Palisman look like?
Feel free to add your own guesses
  • An otter: She already seems to like them. They also symbolize playfulness, agility, mischievousness, creativity and transformation.
  • An owl: To match Eda
  • A dog: "Eclipse Lake" reveals that Amity's Palisman is a white cat. I can see Luz going with a dog to make a "set", so to speak.
  • A firefly: Her name means light, and fireflies visually resemble the orbs created by light glyphs, her first spell. She’s also a figurative light to many people in her life.
  • A white dove: Besides being a bird, like Owlbert, the white dove is considered a symbol of peace. Luz's conviction will be to not only study magic, but to bring Earth and the Boiling Isles together peacefully.
  • A giraffe: To tie in with the running gag about giraffes being "freaks" from the Boiling Isles.
  • A blue jay: Not only is it a bird, blue jays symbolize intelligence, determination, patience, clarity, and loyalty. They also urge you to maintain a balanced approach in life, or warn you of a danger.
  • A snake: It's forshadowing in the title card and Luz is prone to hissing. They also symbolize rebirth and transformation along with a connection to healing.
    • Confirmed, in "For The Future", the egg hatched and the palisman was revealed to be a shapeshifting, flying snake.
  • A bat: In "Eclipse Lake", when Luz and Amity are communicating with Tomagatchis, Luz's avatar is a bat while Amity's is a white cat. Amity's own Palisman has already been shown to be a white cat, leading to the possibility that Luz's avatar is foreshadowing.
  • A titan: With the reveal of King's real species, a titan would be a creature strongly connected with Luz. It may even contain actual Titan's blood to make it stronger.
    • Amusingly teased at the end of "O Titan, Where Art Thou" when King actually makes this suggestion.
  • All of them: "Clouds on the Horizon" reveals Luz's Palisman to be an egg. It won't hatch, but can transform into various other animals depending on the spells she uses.
    • Half-confirmed. Her Palisman hatched to become a (shapeshifting, flying) snake in season three, episode two (For The Future), but not before transforming into a bat, scorpion and an East Asian dragon (see screencaps). She appears to transform at will, however, rather than dependent on what spells Luz uses.

Hunter will team up with Eda, King, and Amity
He is confirmed to be appearing in Eclipse Lake, while he might probably get tied up by one of them, he will still likely help them cure Luz.
  • Confirmed in general, Jossed in specifics. While they do end up teaming up, it ends with Hunter running off with the portal key.

Creepy Luz is good
While Creepy Luz may have took Luz’s place in the Human Realm after she accidentally left, it is only just giving her time before the Day of Unity.
  • Confirmed, she's a young basilisk named Vee who took over Luz's life by accident when trying to escape from her nightmarish life in the Demon Realm and is in fact incredibly sweet.

Luz will befriend the Impostor
She will befriend her doppelgänger despite them taking her place in the Human Realm, like she did with Amity and Hunter.
  • Confirmed

Someone in the conformatorium will make a Renaissance
Well, since Raine was making a Renaissance against the Emperor, someone, or Katya, will likely make a Renaissance of all of the prisoners, from the first episode, the weird ones, including the current imprisoned oneself to go against the Emperor.

Eda and King will go in the Human Realm with Luz
Like the Plantars who went home with Anne in “True Colors”, Eda and King will go with Luz to the Human Realm in the Season 2 Finale.

Eda and King will meet Camilla
Well, like the Plantars, who will meet and befriend the Boonchuys, Eda and King will be meeting Luz’s mother after entering the Human Realm.

Belos will know who Kikimora really is
While Belos is unaware that Kikimora is trying to kill members of his coven, he will become aware that she tried to kill Hunter to become his new second in command.

Camilla will help her daughter stop Emperor Belos
After Luz tells her about what Emperor Belos will do on The Day of Unity, She will help her stop Belos during the day of Unity.

When Belos is speaking about "painful outbursts", he is referring to his own.
It's clear that what's wrong with him is getting worse. He didn't used to mutate so obviously, for one. He would not be quite so violent if he had his palisman essence. His Hair-Trigger Temper and Painful Transformation is getting worse and he really would rather not hurt one of the few people he seems to actually care about.
  • I'm assuming this theory refers to why Belos thinks the outbursts are painful (emotional pain instead of physical pain).

At the End of this season, or in the first two episodes of season three, Emperor Belos will destroy the owl house.
As the season goes on, Belos will come to see Luz and co. as a bigger threat than he originally anticipated. As a warning to them, he will have the owl house burned to the ground, presumably while they are on a mission to try and stop The Day of Unity. This will serve as both a warning for them to stop interfering with his plans, as well as limit the amount of places they could hide from him. Meta-wise: this would also serves as a way to shake up the status quo without resorting to kill off a character.
  • Wouldn't that kill Hooty?
    • He could just have gone into that portable box again.

Hunter will perish at the hands of his uncle
Don't deny or speak of him coming back of anything, in stories like this someone has to die permanently and leave scars on the heroes side. Hunter will eventually try redeem his uncle but we all know that won't happen, so Belos will instead kill Hunter for defying him, proving that the evil Emperor is a lost cause who cannot be reasoned with and that the heroes will indeed have to kill him.
  • Alternately, it will be Raine, since as of Hollow Mind, Hunter is scared shirtless of Belos and likely is going to try and avoid him at all costs (Belos isn't likely concerned about one rogue who no one is going to believe).Raine was the first member of the CHRU (Coven head rebellion unit, pronounced charu)tm and thus is more likely.

Eberwolf will join sides with Luz
They seemed like they weren't interested in torturing Raine, and, like Hunter, they were just following orders. Given Luz's history with making friends it would be most likely that Eberwolf will stick with Luz, maybe even act as a spy.
  • They sidede with Darius, Raine and possibly other members of an anti-Belos conspiracy, if there are any, so it's very likely, that they'll work with Luz at some point.

The mysterious figure has been secretly watching King and the other Owl House residents.
Whether the mysterious character seen in "Eda's Requiem" is indeed King's father, another relative, or an unrelated member of his species, based on their apparent lack of surprise at seeing King's message, they've actually been aware of King's presence at the Owl House and has been secretly keeping an eye on him—as well as the other Owl House residents—for some time. This leads to...

Hunter will go to Eclipse Lake on his own accord.
In "Eclipse Lake", rather than traveling to the titular lake on a mission for the Emperor's Coven, Hunter will instead secretly go there behind Belos' back in the hopes of finding some wild magic that might help his uncle. The episode will possibly end with Belos revealing to Hunter that he knows about his little excursion and either punish him or warn him not to do anything like that again.
  • Sort of. While he does go of his own accord, since the mission is Kikimora's, it's to prove his worth after his failure in "Hunting Palismen".

King's Dad's
letter will be regurgitated by Hooty, and it would cause a rift between him and King
  • The episode in general will be rather similar to "After the Rain" from Amphibia in terms of plot.
  • Or in a humorous alternative, no mention is made of how long it's been when Hooty coughs up the letter, so King sees it and assumes it was a more recent delivery and—given Hooty's been known to eat and regurgitate the mail—doesn't think much of it, instead focusing on the letter itself.
    • Alternative confirmed. When Hooty finally coughs the letter up, King only expresses passing mild annoyance at Hooty eating their mail and then becomes excited at the implications of a letter addressed to him.

"The Collector" is an Evil Counterpart to Eda.
The mysterious "Collector" briefly seen in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" will turn to be a twisted version of Eda: Like her, they'll be a wild free spirit who constantly rebels against authority—but unlike Eda, they'll have absolutely no morals at all and only care about themselves, seeing nothing wrong with "collecting" innocent creatures like the Owl Beast for their own amusement.

The Day of Unity will happen at the end of this season.
Luz, Eda, King, and Hooty will try to break in to Belos's Castle. They will either try to:
  • Assasinate Belos to stop him.
  • Capture a covenant leader, or...
  • Save Raine from captivity.
  • appears to have been jossed since the summary for Follies of the Coven Day Parade mentions rescue missions. And it’s probably safe to assume that getting Raine out would be involved.

They will end up failing, resulting in...

Belos petrifies a character, and then the season ends
Feel free to put in who you think it will be and why. Note: they don't have to be just the characters mentioned in the previous theory.
  • Belos nearly does petrify Luz herself, but she manages to talk her way out of it at the last second. It's also around the middle of the episode, so not when "the season ends."

The Owl Beast will Take A Level In Kindness.
As a result of their truce, the next time the Owl Beast fully takes over Eda's body, it'll act less hostile and agressive towards the other Owl House residents, no longer seeing them as threats and will instead be protective of them.
  • Or maybe be at least be indifferent towards them.
  • Confirmed: After the sleeping nettles-induced dream and later events, Eda and the Owl Beast make peace and reach a modus vivdeni: The Owl Beast grants Eda a supermode ("Harpy Eda"), Eda hunts and eats wild animals (e.g. voles) for the Owl Beast.

King will discover he has other abilities.
His Make Some Noise powers he gained in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' On Hooty's Door" are only the first of his powers to develop. He'll unlock more over time, possibly with some guidance from his father.

Luz will return to the Conformatorium at some point to break out some criminals.
And she will casually pull the levers up this time, prompting Katya to ask, "What happened to your weak nerd arms?" prompting Luz to explain that she got a lot of workouts on the Boiling Isles between doing manual labor, fighting monsters and the Emperor's Coven, and doing dangerous class material.

Luz’s friends will realize she lied to her adoptive family
Since they are unaware of Luz making a promise to her mother they will likely be shocked an heartbroken over the reveal in the season finale.

Hunter will have a Redemption Arc
Well, despite working for The Emperor’s Coven, he is affable and friendly towards The Owl House Crew, (including King), did teamed up with Luz to stop Kikimora, and did took care of his new palismen.
  • Confirmed: He indeed defected from Belos and to Luz and Eda.

Hunter, in the end, will be adopted by either Eda or Camilla
If he gets abandoned by his uncle, Emperoro Belos, he will get adopted by either Eda or Camilla.

Willow is Lesbian
It hasn’t been officially confirmed if she will have a boyfriend or not.
  • There has been some Ship Tease between Willow and Hunter, though mainly on Hunter's part, so that doesn't really say anything about Willow's orientation. Still, she could be bi, for all we know.

There will be a Ship Tease of Willow and Viney
Since Willow isn't confirmed or doesn't even have a boyfriend as of now, there will likely be a future episode of her with Vinny.

There will be a Ship Tease of Willow and Hunter
Since Willow isn't confirmed or doesn't even have a boyfriend as of now, there will likely be a future episode of her with Hunter.
  • Somewhat confirmed by Hunter blushing at Willow at the end of Any Sport in a Storm.

Raine is being brainwashed
If there is any part of their portrait from the Season 2 credits that is any indication, it is possible that Raine is being brainwashed.
  • Confirmed. Terra, head of the Plant Coven, is giving Raine special tea which represses their memories of being a wild witch, though it's implied the tea doesn't work perfectly, since Raine regularly gets headaches. Given a twist in "Them's the Breaks, Kid," when it's revealed Raine has been purifying the tea before drinking it, and simply faking its effects to fool Terra and protect Eda.

Hunter will be attending Hexside
If anything in the Season 2B trailer is an indication, Hunter is likely going to be attending Hexside.

Willow will have her own Day in the Limelight episode this season

Because since Gus had his so, Willow is due. It could be an episode of how she remembered who she used to be up to who she's become up to this point. All with her internal monologue narrating her thoughts, because as a character she still has a lot to show. Plus, hearing Willow give color commentary every now and again about the goins on would be pretty funny.

  • Much like how "Through the Looking Glass Ruins" involved Gus interacting with Matthomule, the episode will possibly involve Willow and Boscha having to work together for some reason—perhaps leading Boscha to have a Heel–Face Turn of her own.
  • Confirmed: she and Hunter share the spotlight for the main plot of "Any Sport in a Storm."

The Owl Beast will request control of Eda's body.
Eventually, in exchange for continuing to let Eda use Harpy Eda, the Owl Beast will demand something more serious than voles: it will want to have full control over Eda's body so that it can enjoy some time outside of her mind. Eda will naturally refuse at first, having a lot of bad memories of it forcefully possessing her, but she'll eventually agree—on the condition on that it's only temporary (with them working out a schedule of when the Owl Beast is allowed control) and that it's not to harm her friends and family.

Belos and Creepy Luz were Philip's companions and they didn't die.
Where did Philip say he was when he 'lost' his companions? Eclipse Lake, where he first crossed over from Earth to the Boiling Isles. Considering that we are only listening to Philip's thoughts, its quite possible that he was wrong and that his companions ended up in the Human Realm because of Titan's Blood. One - Belos - eventually went back home but the other - Creepy Luz - stayed.
  • Partly jossed, the Luz imposter turns out to be somebody different.

Camila will eventually decide to let Luz stay in the Demon Realm.
When she inevitably meets Luz's new friends and sees just how happy they and in particular Amity make her daughter, she will realize that Luz chose to stay in the Demon Realm because she finally found someplace she belongs with people who accept her as is, and that forcing her to give all that up for life on Earth would just make Luz miserable, ultimately resulting in her freeing Luz from the promise to remain on Earth.
  • Alternatively, during the time it takes Luz to make a fully functioning portal Camila will realize that as a mom Luz's happiness is more important than just about anything, and if staying in the Demon Realm would make her happy then she should let her stay, albeit with the condition that Luz keeps in touch and/or visit regularly.

Luz's promise to her mom will negatively impact her relationship with Amity.
Based on Camila's reaction to learning about the Demon Realm and her making Luz promise to remain on Earth once she has a way back will result in Luz's insecurities to skyrocket with her worried that not only will her mom not approve of Amity for being a witch but also afraid that she will eventually have to break up with her due to having to remain on Earth.

Camila will convince Luz to break her promise after learning about Amity.
Camila understandably wants Luz to go back to the human realm … but after learning that Luz has a girlfriend now she’ll allow Luz to stay on the boiling Isles as she doesn’t want to ruin a relationship Luz cares about, and possibly only making Luz promise to occasionally visit the human realm rather than stay there forever.

"Yesterday's Lie" reveals a big plot point about Philip Wittebane
During his explanation of the history of the town, Jacob reveals that a witch visited Gravesfield and met TWO brothers. He reveals no one ever saw either of them again. Jacob never says the brothers' names, but their clothes look similar to Philip's appearance from the Echo Mouse recordings. Philip is one of the brothers. Did he decide to return home after something happened to his brother?...

Jacob Hopkins will return

Camilla will attempt to enter the Boiling Isles to rescue Luz

The Collector will arrive on the Boiling Isles and will try to collect Eda.
As the Owl Beast is now part of Eda, the Collector will consider her to be lost property.

The main cast will travel to the other titan The Collector is from to find a cure for Eda and Lilith's curse and to free the Owl Beast
  • They may encounter The Collector and clash with her

Lilith will find a way to transform into a harpy or a similar humanoid hybrid
  • Confirmed after the defeat of Belos.

Eda will find a way for the Owl Beast to fully manifest itself outside of her body to have it as an ally in battle (and/or just to allow it to stretch its wings, so to speak)

If the Greater Basilisk from "The First Day" returns, her Dark and Troubled Past will be acknowledged, but she'll be told that Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse.
Like the rest of the basilisks, she was brought back from extinction and kept imprisoned and experimented on for her Magic Eater abilities. However, she still attacked many innocent people - including children - after her own escape. Even if it was part a revenge plot against the Emperor's Coven, people will call her out on all her victims that got caught in the crossfire in the process without a shred of remorse from her.

On the Day of Unity, Belos will use the Coven Tattoos to incapacitate and drain all branded witches of their magic.
When the time is right, Belos will activate the tattoos on every branded witch on the Isles to incapacitate them and—using techniques he learned from studying the basilisks—drain them of their magic to fuel the Day of Unity. Lilith will manage to escape by taking advantage of her curse and removing her branded arm before it could take her out.
  • Seemingly confirmed in “Them’s the Breaks, Kid”. Raine learns from Darius that the Day of Unity will involve the power of the 9 powerful coven leaders being drained through their sigils.
    • If all would've gone according to plan, they all would've died.

If the Day of Unity is either stopped or reversed the show will end in one of three ways.
  • Good Ending: Luz is able to travel freely between worlds free to live out her life with her friends and loved ones from the Isles while still being able to keep her mom in her life.
    • Confirmed!
  • Bad Ending: Camila forces Luz to keep her promise to remain on Earth forcing Luz to say goodbye to Eda, King, Amity and all her friends, and return to the misurable friendless life she had at the start.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Luz remains stuck on the Boiling Isles, but with the piece of mind of having Camila’s blessing even though it means likely never seeing her mom again.
    • Both the Good and Bittersweet Endings could conclude with an “And the Adventure Continues” scenario with Luz and the gang setting off on yet another wacky adventure, and/or a Time Skip to either Luz and Amity’s wedding or a reveal that the couple were telling the story to their kid(s) the whole time, likely a girl named Azura at the very least, with a second named Camila in the Bittersweet Ending.

Vee will enter a relationship with the human resembling Amity seen in the first episode.
  • The Amity-esque human may become interested in the "new Luz", not knowing that who she fell in love with isn't Luz at all.

The human resembling Amity romantically rejected Luz in the past.
  • "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door" heavily implied that Luz was made fun of for a crush in the past. Going along with the previous WMG, perhaps it was the Amity-esque human who rejected Luz. She will be extremely apologetic about what happened and will practically beg for a second chance. Naturally, Vee will have no idea what she's talking about, but will accept the second chance anyway.

King and his species of demon came from another titan.
This would justify how Hooty couldn't identify what kind of demon he is in "Knock, Knock, Knockin' on Hooty's Door".
  • King IS another titan!

The series will end with Earth gaining magic of it's own.
In the end, the Day of Unity and Belos' attempts to merge the realms will fail, but as a side-effect, some of the Boiling Isles' magic will be transferred to Earth, allowing glyphs to work there.

The next time we see Camila she would have seen all of the videos Luz made her throughout the season.
Luz's phone finally having reception thanks to her unstable portal unexpectedly manages to send all of Luz's previously undeliverable texts and as a result of seeing them all Camila ends up having a massive case of My God, What Have I Done? due to the Sadistic Choice she unwittingly forced into Luz.

Luz and Amity will have a proper Big Damn Kiss this season.
Whether it's during an emotional moment or a casual one, it's gonna be a big moment for their relationship.

King's father will reveal himself in a Big Damn Heroes moment.
When the Owl House residents find themselves on the losing side of a fight with the Emperor's Coven or another enemy, King's father will suddenly appear and save the day with his voice powers, formally introducing himself to King in the process.
  • Seeing that King's so-called father is a witch from a cult dedicated to the worship of the Collector and the extermination of all titans (King's one), the only way it could happen would be the Titan Trappers trying to "save" King to sacrifice him to the Collector instead just letting Belos' henchmen off him.

If Camila meets Luz's friends from the Boiling Isles, she will become friends with Viney.
Viney is in the healing and beast-keeping tracks and states her goal is to open her own veterinary clinic. Camila is also a veterinarian, so the two of them may bond over shared interests and compare veterinary practices between the two worlds.

Kikimora’s Backstory will be in a future episode
Mela Lee, the voice of Kikimora, has hinted that Kikimora’s past will be revealed in The Owl House, implying that her backstory will happen in 2B of Season 2.

Something bad happened to Philip after finishing the portal but before having a chance to use it.
He might have been corrupted somehow to eventually become Belos, maybe he was outright killed by something or someone, it still has to be revealed, but the point is, he never got to return home. It would explain how the portal ended up in the dirt, or the fact that even though Philip "disappeared" from the demon realm, he was allegedly "never seen again" in the human world.

The witch who "lured" the Wittlebanes to the Boiling Isles was Eda's ancestor.
The witch who took Philip and his brother to the Demon Realm was Eda's ancestor who, much like her descendant, often traveled to Earth and had wild misadventures there. She was the one who was helping Philip construct the portal in the first place, which is how it ended up buried on the Clawthorne's property.

Luz will teach glyph magic to Hunter
After Belos' ousting, glyphs will be officially studied as an alternative method of doing magic for e.g. Hunter's powerless relatives. It will eventually become its own coven.
  • She did teach him glyphs, but the "powerless relatives" were OFC just a lie Belos made up.

Odalia will attempt to undo her family's deal with the Emperor's Coven.
At a certain point, Odalia will realize that the deal is doing more harm than good to Blight Industries and will try to find a way out of it, perhaps by using some kind of Oracle magic. Of course, in her usual fashion, she'll fail to consider the risks of what she's doing and land herself (and possibly her entire family as well) in a whole load of trouble, requiring Luz and the others to bail her out.

Camilia will be met with hostility from the Owl House's general direction when she first makes contact.
One or more of Luz's circle of intimates will either be inadvertently told or work out that Luz is stressing over the prospect of having to chose between her every positive emotional connection save her mom and said mom even if regular access between BI and CT is restored. So while Camilia is not-so-blissfully unaware of any such emotional connections save maybe the being that saw fit to shelter Luz for unknown reasons, several beings are building her up in thier minds to be a second Odalia.

For the portal to work, Luz will need Camila and Vee's help.
After constructing a new portal, Luz will discover that it won't physically connect to Earth without some preparations being made on Earth's side, requiring her to contact her mother and Vee for assistance. To prevent them from just discussing their issues then and there, Luz will keep her communications with Camila as brief as possible to avoid destabilizing the portal like her last one. The episode will then mainly focus on Camila and Vee trying to scrounge up the required magical materials to make the portal work—all the while, Camila worries if she did the right thing by making Luz promise to come home.

Willow will lampshade being Out of Focus.
In season 2b, Willow will grumpily complain about how she's been left out of the gang's adventures lately and/or lamant that she's been too busy with some family business to hang out with her friends.

Amity will run away to become a permanent member of the Owl House family.

The abominations don’t perform to Belos’ standards (as is common when a demonstration has to be staged to win instead of actually building a quality Muk-bot), leading to Odalia and Alador getting into trouble for trying to ‘cheat’ the emperor with promises they couldn’t deliver on. A severe punishment is promised, and the family is on lock-down until then.

Odalia, who has been too busy with the Abominations to worry about her kids, notices Amity’s hair for the first time and is livid. This escalates to a shouting match, in which the other three look on; Alador in confusion and Ed and Em in amazement as it dawns on them how strong and brave their little Mittens has become. Eventually, the subject turns to Luz and Amity screams that she loves her. Enraged, Odalia summons an abomination hand to strike Amity, which is intercepted by a flash of magic.

Everyone turns to see Emera with her index finger positioned as if to cast a spell. Everyone looks shocked by her actions even herself; she’s always asking Amity to keep her involvement in things a secret, so she’s scared of their mother, too. Emera trembles a bit, but soon stiffens and fixes her mother with a fierce glare, standing by her action to protect her little sister. When Alador tries to come to his wife’s rescue, Edrick interferes and demands they leave his sisters alone, also taking on a threatening stance and reminding his parents that he and Emera’s magic hasn’t been sealed off yet, and they can still do more than illusions. This declaration shocks the parents, partially because of how serious their usually goofy son is being.

With Odalia and Alador stunned by this sudden mutiny of their normally obedient children, Amity manages to subdue them with her abomination magic, and Ed and Em tell her to get out of here; that they’ll handle their parents. As Amity rushes to get Ghost, Odalia demands to know where Amity is going and she replies that she’s going home, to the Owl House. Ed and Em watch her as she leaves, smiling proudly.

Getting to the Owl House, Eda is surprised when Amity runs to her, crying. She’s confused, but nevertheless tries to comfort the girl and promises that whatever’s going on, they can fix it. Luz and King join her in the comforting when they come out to see the commotion.

Back at the mansion, the argument continues as Aminty’s abomination dissolves without her presence, releasing Alador and Odalia. Edrick and Emera promptly create two doubles each of themselves, leaving their parents outnumbered. The conversation that follows is reminiscent of Avatar, as TOH has already made multiple references to the show; Odalia says she never expected this from Emera, who she pegs as the ringleader of this rebellion, as Ed has always followed her lead. Feeling the tension, Ed looks between them meaningfully as their mother demands why her kids did this and that they know the consequences. Em declares that Odalia isn’t as powerful as she thinks she is, and that Amity’s love for Luz is stronger than her fear of Odalia, which Odalia calls a miscalculation on her younger daughter’s part. Ed and Em look furious when their mother threatens Luz.

Before the argument can progress, a bigger, badder Kaiju-sized abomiton comes to the manor and destroys it, with the Blights inside. The four survive the rubble, and Odalia watches in fury as Ed and Em take off in the destruction of the Owl House. The Emperor uses the destruction of the Blight manor as an example to all of what happens to those who cross him, and he apprehends Alador and Odalia. The kids are presumed dead, which goes uncorrected by a shocked Alador and a furious Odalia. When Ed and Em, under the cover of invisability, make it to the Owl House, Eda agrees to offer them a temporary stay. Amity, who is younger, will be staying on a more permanent bases.

In following episodes, the twins will have an easy time connecting to Eda through their shared love of mischief and goofy demeaner in Ed’s case. That said, being close to coming of age anyway, the twins are largely just staying at the house until their next birthday when they become legal adults. Amity, who already feels more at home here is unbothered by the destruction of the manor or the imprisonment of her parents, and grows closer to Luz, Eda and King, perhaps even developing the same sisterly/daughter-like bond Luz shares with King and Eda. Eventually, Eda shows the same Mama Bear tendancies to Amity that she does to Luz.

During the final confrontation, Reine is recovered and rekindles their romance with a now more open Eda. Should Alador and Odalia return, there will be a spark of envy at the fondness their children hold for Eda, who is far more layed-back and permissive than she ever was. The final battle happens and the good guys win. With Ed and Em coming of age soon, Luz presumably returning home and King possibly leaving to find his father, the implication is that Reine moves into the Owl House and they and Eda will take care of Amity as a sort of makeshift family.

Season 2b will have a serious case of cerebus syndrome
Since there is only about 14 episodes left for the show, it makes sense for it to keep getting Darker and Edgier as it nears the finale. Season 2 will probably have a downer ending.

The portal will only fully open to Earth on a certain day.
Luz will discover that her portal will only fully open to Earth on a specific date, adding a ticking clock to her having to decide between staying on the Boiling Isles or returning to her mother. Additionally, the date will turn out to coincide with the Day of Unity, complicating matters.

One or more of Luz's friends will be branded.
As the Day of Unity approaches, Belos will decree that all witches must be branded, regardless of their age, resulting in Willow, Gus, Amity, some combination of them, or even all of them recieving a Coven brand. They may do it willingly—if reluctantly—to appease their parents or the Emperor's Coven will forcefully brand them.
  • Threatened but avoided in "Labarynth Runners".

Dell is The Collector or is in league with them
Source for the Idea.

Odalia is a mago-supremacist
  • When she heard about how Willow seemed to be a witch with weak magic (which, OFC, wasn't true, she was just in the wrong track), she saw her unfit to associate with her daughter and blackmailed her into ending her friendship with her.
  • We saw in the second season episodes how condescending she was towards Luz; The reason was that Luz is a human and as such a lesser being to Odalia for not having magic.
  • When Odalia discovers that Luz has discovered a new method to do magic (through the glyphs) and also learns how Luz discovered then (the nature of the Isles showed it to her and since the Titan is not only the Isles themselves, but also a deity for its inhabitants, it'd make Luz the closest thing they have to a prophet), she will have no problem with Luz dating her daughter (and since homophobia doesn't exist on the Boiling Isles, she also doesn't care about them both being girls).

The owl beast curse is actually an empowerment ritual
If it weren't for the owl beast taking over the mind of the user and draining their magic, it'd make the ritual's user very powerful: They have several super modi and are immune to dismemberment. The Collector put the control functions into a separate spell so an unauthorized user of the scroll couldn't use it as intended.
The first one to learn about Luz's promise will be Willow.
No doubt Luz would want to keep her promise a secret, building up nervousness in the process. Willow will be the first one to realize something's wrong with her, and she now has the ability to convince, or if necessary, to peer pressure Luz into confession. Plus, as her official best friends, she could be the easiest for Luz to come clean to (she's still not that close to Gus, she can't dissapoint the Owl House Gang, and she definately wouldn't want to ruin what she has with Amity).

Getting caught was Raine's plan B
  • Plan A was assassinating Head Witches Eberwolf and Darius, because it would put a dent into Belos "day of unity" "spell", but since they're not only a powerful witch, but also a genius (one can't become coven head while being a dumbass), they had a plan B: They found a way to "hack" their coven branding to make the suspended animation either dispel itself after a set amount of time or because of a certain trigger (such as being brought to the conformatorium or Belos' castle) to infiltrate either the conformatorium and free their associates or to infiltrate Belos' castle and assassinate Belos and/or other high-ranking members of the emperor's coven, steal/destroy an item he needs for the "day of unity", "Grimwalker", and/or raid his library of curses and counter-curses to find a possible way to free Eda from her curse (and, as they will find out, free the owl beast, which was revealed to be a victim in this whole thing just like Eda).
    • Partly confirmed: Raine uses Bard magic to counteract the brainwashing tea and is in secret contact with Darius, the Abomination coven Head Witch, but so far they're only spying.
  • Another goal of them might be an investigation into The Collector and whether they're involved with Belos, an enemy of Belos (and thus open to cooperation) or an enemy of both.

Kikimora will do a Heel–Face Turn, or a least an Enemy Mine.
In "Follies at the Coven's Day Parade", Kikimora pretended to go along with Luz and Amity's escape plan, but eventually betrayed them (and lost her chance to connect with her family) to get the promotion Terra promised her. It turns out the "promotion" is being allowed to live after her past failures and indiscretions, a result that clearly disappoints her. Maybe this is just wishful thinking, but it's possible that Kikimora will start to think about the bad choices she's made, which could lead to her joining the heroes because they were nice to her.

Eda's curse isn't really a curse!
It's actually a fusion spell! One that allows the user to fuse with whatever beast the scroll has captured. The reason it behaves like a curse is because she's had nobody to properly teach her to turn it off or even unfuse from the creature. It's like letting a faucet stay on for too long: if it's not turned off, of course there will be consequences (behaving more like owl, magic draining, gray hairs ect.)

After Luz comes home, Camilla will realize she should stay at the Boiling Isles when she sees Luz is unhappy and discontent with her old life.
Camilla may want to see her daughter again, but seeing Luz miss her friends, adopted family and Amity will make her realize the only way to make her baby girl happy again is to riscind her wish for Luz to promise to stay.
  • More or less confirmed in For The Future.

Season 2 will end with Luz finding out what the Day Of Unity entails...and not wanting to stop it.
Luz and Co. will be just on the brink of stopping whatever ritual is required, when Belos demands they stop, explaining that all he wants is to literally bring the Human and Demon realms together as one. Luz will realize that this lets her have exactly what she wants, and cause the others to hesitate just long enough that it succeeds.Season 3's three double-length episodes will be all about the fallout.

Philip's brother wanted to stay in the Boiling Isles.
As shown in "Elsewhere and Elsewhen", Philip clearly disliked the Boiling Isles and held it's inhabitants in disdain, but it'll turn out that his brother was the exact opposite. He loved the Isles and wanted to stay there to learn as much as he could about magic. He may have even settled down and started a family (possibly being Eda's or Hunter's ancestor). Philip didn't take this well, leading to....
  • Adding on to the 'being Eda/Lilith's ancestor' theory, Dana has stated that bird palismen are specifically a Clawthorne thing. Not only is L'il Rascal implied to have originally been Philip's brother's palisman, he also straight up looks like Eda's father's palisman with a different color palette.

Belos' plan is the Final Solution.
It seems that Philip/Belos is driven by a hatred of witches at least since the Deadwardian Era. It's possible that this would also contribute to his Bad Boss tendencies towards his coven members. He states that his plan is to rid the world of "wild magic". Though according to Eda, magic is meant to be wild and free. Belos may potentially agree with that assessment and view all magic as wild magic. As such he plans to destroy magic as a whole. And once the Day of Unity arrives, he will do something that will destroy all magic, including all witches and demons in the Demon Realm.
  • The title of the last episode of season 2 is "King's Tide". A king's tide refers to higher than usual tides that occur during a new or full moon. Therefore, Belos' plan will involve him taking a select group of his followers to the Titan's skull which he'll transport to Earth, while leaving the rest of the Isles to be submerged into the sea, "cleansing" it of wild magic.
  • Judging by the rumors among his that Wrath told Eda, this could be close to the truth (he said, that the "new world" post-day of unity will not by very inviting to magickind, wild or not).
  • Confirmed in "Hollow Mind".

The Collector will become the next Big Bad.
Belos will be defeated at the end of season 2, allowing the Collector to take over being the primary villain as Luz and the others deal with the aftermath of the Day of Unity.
  • Confirmed, but Belos is back at it again, trying to manipulate The Collector by possessing the puppet body of Raine.

Why humans are hated on the Boiling Isles
Philip Wittebane set himself up as a villain, so that the fake persona of Belos could rush in as the savior of the Boiling Isles, become its ruler and reign over the Boiling Isles with a mailed fist.

"Hollow Mind" will involve Luz and Hunter entering Belos' mind.
This will at last reveal to Luz that Philip and Belos are one and the same, and reveal to Hunter that he is a Grimwalker/literal ingredient in Belos' Day of Unity plan, maybe even showing a memory of the day of Hunter was created.
  • Confirmed!

Philip and his brother's relationship will be a dark mirror to Eda and Lilith.
Much like Eda and Lilith, it'll turn there was something of a rivalry between the brothers, with Philip being jealous of his brother's skills and accomplishments. And like Lilith, Philip was eventually motivated to do something to his brother to get out of his shadow, which resulted in his brother's death (or possibly worse).... but unlike Lilith who regretted cursing Eda and tried to fix it, Philip felt no remorse over his actions and/or completely refused to take responsibility for it blaming it on wild magic.

Belos will betray the Coven leaders.
Belos will either sacrifice them to ensure the Day of Unity ritual will succeed or he'll declare them to have Outlived Their Usefulness once their role in the ritual is complete and dispose of them to make sure that they don't try to stop him. They'll likely survive (possibly being a little worse for wear)—but if they don't, Eda will find a way to at least save Raine.
  • He indeed tried doing that to them, together with the rest of the Boiling Islands' inhabitants, but was stopped by The Collector.

The instructions in Philip's diary are intentionally wrong
He knew, that "Luzura" would make his way to the Boiling Isles, after he met her in the past and would search out his diary to construct a portal door, so he left intentionally false instructions for her, that'd trap her in the in-between dimension (probably as a sacrifice).
  • Going along with this, Philip donated the book to the library anticipating that Luz would likely find it there one day.

Philip's brother had his own diary.
Related to the above, Philip's brother also kept a diary which contains the correct instructions to building the portal. And if the brother is indeed Eda and Lilith's ancestor, then the diary will be in the possession of the Clawthornes who didn't realize its significance.

Philip's condition isn't caused by the glyphs on his skin.
Rather, they're Philip's degraded attempt at treating his condition. When it acts up and his body turns to mud, the glyphs activate in order to suppress his condition, but because he designed the array without knowledge of the Light Glyph, which empowers arrays, he needs Palisman essence in order to strengthen the array and make it strong enough to counteract his curse.

Philip's brother's name was Caleb.
It's implied that he was Flapjack/L'il Rascal's owner previously, which is why Flapjack suggested it as an alias for Hunter in 'Any Sport in a Storm'.
  • Confirmed.

Belos was trying to humiliate Hunter in "Any Sport in a Storm."
Belos assigned Hunter to lead the Coven meeting, knowing full well that the Coven leaders wouldn't respect him. He did this to punish Hunter for his recent failings as well as to crush the boy's self-esteem and keep him firmly under Belos' thumb.

Why Flapjack looks similar to Dell's palisman
  • Flapjack was made by Dell, given to a witch, but Flapjack was abandoned by the witch (either due to the witch dying, abandoning the poor bird on purpose or maybe even mistreating the poor bird, which made it flee its abusive owner and coming across the Bat Queen, the protector of mistreated and/or abandoned palismen)
    • Flapjack was almost certainly the palisman of Caleb Wittebane, the brother of Philip Wittebane a.k.a. Belos, and was murdered by his brother centuries ago, i.e. Jossed
  • Dell made his palisman based on Flapjack

At some point in the series, Amity will transform herself into an abomination just like Darius
Possibly to fight Darius himself or Belos.
  • Seeing that Darius was revealed to work against the emperor in secret, it's possible she'd fight at his side against loyalist forces.

Members of the emperor's coven will pull a Heel–Face Turn near the season finale
Warden wrath reveals that there are some dissension in the ranks. Several people might dissagree with Belos plans

  • Darius
    • Seemingly confirmed in the episode "Them's the Breaks, Kid", where Raine seems to be in contact with Darius to exchange intelligence on the Day of Unity.
    • Definitely confirmed in "Hollow Mind", where he is shown to work with Raine and Eberwolf against Belos.
  • Steve
    • This seems to be likely, as he started to regret joining the Emperor's Coven in season "Any Sport in a Storm".
    • Confirmed as of "O Titan, Where Art Thou", where he not only left the Coven Scouts, he even joined Raine's new rebel group CA Ts.
  • Kikimora
  • Warden Wrath
  • construction coven head: Raine knocked on the castle balcony to open a secret passage to recieve a message from Daruis
  • The Oracle Coven Head— They'd likely see the potential future damage that the Day of Unity will bring to the Isles and will work to avert it.
  • Flora D'esplora

Raine knows how to whistle on frequencies beyond the hearing range of witches and demons so as to have a silent assassination technique
  • They used this technique to neutralize Terra's brainwashing tea right under her nose without her hearing any whistling.

There will be a conflict between the Coven heads.
With Raine, most likely Darius, and possibly Eberwolf working against Belos, there will be a division amongst the Coven heads, with half of them trying to stop the Day of Unity while the other half supports Belos. This will lead to an all out battle between the two sides with the loyalists ultimately winning out and forcing the rebels to participate in the Day of Unity ritual.
  • "Hollow Mind" reveals that alongside Raine and Darius, Eberwolf is in cahoots with them. This seems likely plausible, despite there are only three of the nine coven heads going against the emperor.

Raine's characterization in "Them's The Breaks, Kid" isn't actually a Retcon.
In this theory, Raine was indeed like they appear in Eda's flashback/story as a teenager but did end up developing stage fright and a tendency to be easily flustered after becoming The Face for Bard Magic actually being powerful, useful and respectable, especially if their predocessor as Head of the Bard Coven was their mentor at any point; Eda just chose to focus on the Raine from her youth because it fit the story she was telling.

Hollow Mind will in some way involve the Collector
In some of the supposedly leaked backgrounds for Hollow Mind, there is a lot of sun and moon imagery which follows the Collector's motif closely. This would make it a definite possibility that more information about who or what they are may be revealed.
  • Confirmed: Belos was shown to be working with a shadow form of the Collector.

Philip's brother used to wear a mask
In a trailer, there is a small child wearing what appears to be an early version of Belos' mask and the child is implied to be Philip. It's possible he and his brother both wore masks as kids, possibly as a game. In promo art for Hollow Mind, there is an image of the child's mask laying with the Golden Guard's mask, and given the brother's apparent resemblance to Hunter, it's possible that he wore a version of the Golden Guard's mask as a kid. It's possible then that if Belos is Philip, he based the Golden Guard's mask off of his brother's.

Luz and Hunter will find out that both Emperor Belos and Philip Wittebane are the same
Well, since they are still unaware that Emperor Belos and Philip Wittebane are the same, it is likely that they will find out about in during the episode.
  • Confirmed! Partially. Hunter wasn't around for Belos to reveal he's Philip.
    • Fully confirmed! "Clouds on the Horizon" reveals that Hunter overheard that portion of the conversation between Luz and Belos.

Emperor Belos is an Unwitting Pawn to The Collector.
The Collector will be revealed to be only using Belos to ensure his freedom, and will doublecross him once free (and make the biologically unique Belos part of his "collection").

Emperor Belos screwed himself over by destorying the Palisman Amalgamation.
Seeing how it's being played as a similairity of how Eda is working with the Owl Beast netted her a Super Form, I'd imagine the key difference will make or break the results of the form one will take. Since Belos destorying the souls will backfire due to not only taking the palisman souls but he relied on them to extend his human lifespan. Destorying the souls will likely make time catch up to him at least. Or, Belos at least won't be able to shift his form like Eda can since he got rid of the souls and thus that source. OR, the palisman amalgamation isn't dead, or at least for now (it could've just transfered elsewhere in his body to curse him still).

Or, a variation of one of the theories here could happen, like Belos is confident that killing the souls was a good thing but then he suddenly loses his shifting ability (either control or it completely) and starts to age rapidly and tries to consume more palisman only to have the amalgamation return and continue to give him justified hell or due to him consuming the palisman wood (for both expanding his life and to create multiple grimwalkers) he can't easily get more palisman and it takes a visible toil on his mind and/or body. In other words, karma catches up to Belos once again, in a big way.

The Collector is an old enemy of the Titan...
...And possibly the one who killed the Titan. He's already known to be an extremely ancient being, considering that he was sealed away and long forgotten by the time Philip Wittebane found his mirror. In addition, the Collector needs a Draining Spell to be unleashed, which implies that either he's so weakened that he needs all of the magic in the Boiling Isles to return to full power, or that he's been sealed away by something so strong that he can't be freed unless it's by that immense power. My personal belief is that it's the second: recall what he says to Belos during the events of "Hollow Mind" - he's trapped "beneath these bones". The only entity whocould have bones that serve as a prison is the Titan.///Putting this all together, it seems like the Collectoer is an old enemy of the Titan who was able to ''kill' the godlike entity, but who was trapped within its skeleton as its last act of spite and/or justice.
  • Partially confirmed. The Collector is the god of the Titan Trappers, a cult who wishes to kill all Titans.
  • Confirmed. They considered him a bully and the Titan was responsible for trapping them.

Luz will tell the Owl Crew that Belos is Philip
Since she had told them about Hunter before, she will likely tell them about that Belos is human.
  • Confirmed.

King is going to meet his father
Since he hasn't met him in-person yet, it is likely he will meet him once he visit on his journey to learn about his kind.

If/When Belos gets to the human realm, he'll have a Villainous Breakdown over how different things are now.
Since it was revealed in "Hollow Mind" that Belos/Phillp is a witch hunter and he's been on the isles for hundreds of years, he most likely has no idea just how much has changed since he was sent there. He will most likely expect things to not have changed much (ie people still hate things like magic annd demons) and be in for a very rude awakening over how much things have changed. This will lead to him having a breakdown before being defeated by Luz and co.

Hooty is foreign to the Boiling Isles
Raine could've asked their colleague Eberwolf about what the devil Hooty is, but since they're "only" an expert on the magical fauna of the Boiling Isles, they don't know how to identify Hooty. It is possible, that members of King's species, who is also from outside of the Boiling Isles, might know something, which could shed a light on both Hooty and King origins.

Philip tried to kill his brother's wife.
In one of the portraits seen in "Hollow Mind", Philip, while holding a knife behind his back, is approaching his brother and the witch it's implied he formed a relationship with. In that particular moment, Philip isn't trying to kill his brother—he's planning on killing the witch in order to "save" his brother from her influence. His brother stopped him, which led to their final confrontation.

If Hunter meets Darius, Raine and Eberwolf, he will initially freak out.
While it's likely he'll run into them as he fled into the woods while having a panic attack in "Hollow Mind", Hunter doesn't actually know they aren't with the emperor. All he knows is that Belos wants him dead, so it's probable that Hunter will assume they're there to kill him on the emperor's orders. However, it's also possible that the coven heads will be able convince him he's safe.

Lilith and Eda aren't in the house
Eda's a conwoman who has been evading the emperor for a long time and even expects them to be after Luz. With Hooty gone, she must know there's little to no protection against the Emperor's Coven if they decide to come after her. Furthermore, she and Lilith have already been captured by the emperor before, it doesn’t make sense to repeat a plot point that's already been done. Thus, it's likely she and Lilith escaped before the scouts got there.
  • Confirmed: The evaded arrest and his in the knee of the Boiling Isles.

The titan trackers will work with Belos when they find out he has contacted with the collector
Though considering Belos being a witch hunter, he will most likely betray them.
  • But seeing that the Titan Trappers and the Collector aren't exactly shining examples for loyalty and honesty, either, each of them will try to screw the other "ally/allies" over.

Possible Allies who might help Gus
“Labyrinth Runners“ has said that Gus teams up with an “unlikely ally”, which ch does leave some possibilities of who might team with him.

  • Hunter
    • Confirmed
  • Mattholomule
  • Boscha

Hunter will team up with Gus
Since “Labyrinth Runners” does say that Gus will team up with an “unlikely ally, it is likely implied that Hunter might team up with Gus. Since, he did abandoned The Coven after realizing Belos’ true nature, and plan for the Day of Unity.
  • Confirmed

Hunter will tell Gus about the sigils
Currently, while Gus knows the Emperor's Coven is evil, he has no idea what the signals are actually designed to kill everyone. However, Lilith, Eda and Luz likely can't be at Hexside due to be wanted by the emperor. However, Hunter could plausibly show up at the school, given it’s one of the few locations the audience knows he knows of so he may have decided to hide there. If this is true, it’s possible for him to run into Gus and tell him about the sigils.
  • Partially jossed. Gus already knows they're bad news, but Hunter at the end is shown explaining to everyone what Belos' plan for the Day of Unity is.

Eda, Luz, Hunter and the anti-Belos conspiracy around the coven heads will make sure to keep the fact that Belos was Philip Wittebane, a human witch hunter, the secret of all secrets
So as not to make Luz or her world a target of revenge.

The Collector is connected to the In-Between Realm
It's known that they probably aren't actually in there, but it's possible that they are somewhere similar as it's not quite known what they mean by being 'trapped beneath these bones'. In the In-Between Realm, Luz was relegated to reflective surfaces to appear in the physical worlds, so it could be that the Collector is doing something similar, given they have a two-dimensional appearance and don't appear to interact with anything around them.
  • Confirmed as of "O Titan, Where Art Thou". The Collector is trapped within the In-Between realm.

Why Eda didn't hesitate to take the mindscape teleportation potion Raine send her
  • Eda knew Raine's handwriting and/or their manner of (written) speech.
  • They left special, secret clues they invented for hidden communication with Eda, when they were teenagers/young adults.
  • All of the above

Terra knew along about Raine's deception.
Terra knew from the start that Raine was neutralizng the amnesia-inducing plant in the tea and pretended to be fooled to lull Raine and the other rebel Coven leaders into a false sense of security. She'll gloat about this to Raine and mock them for being a terrible actor.
  • Possibly? She at least suspected as much enough to convince Belos to switch up the Coven Head lineup so that she could be there to foil any tricks.

Luz's palisman egg will hatch when she's giving a Kirk Summation against Belos.
While denouncing Belos's delusions that wiping out an entire race of people will somehow "save humanity," Luz will declare her resolve for what she wants to do with her life due to what she's gone through. Likely something along the lines of helping to usher in peaceful relations between humans and witches. Adopted palismen bond with their new partners through the latter declaring their hearts' desires, so perhaps such expression is how the original carvers bring their palismen to life to begin with.

The Day of Unity was not meant to free The Collector...
The Day of Unity is actually a ritual that will kill The Collector, who Philip sees as a False Idol. The ritual will kill everyone in the Boiling Isles as a sacrifice, so hey: two birds, one stone. (Hey, he did say he'd "free them".)

The rat in Alador's workshop was just done as a one-off gag to illustrate what a mess he left it in.
But so many fans are going to assume it's Alador's palisman that the crew will just go with it, possibly even naming it.

King's father sacrificed himself to lock away the Collector.
The Collector wanted to…well, collect King's egg and his father used his powers to seal him away at the cost of his life to save his son.

The final word in season two's code will be 'lies'
The codes are shown to rhyme, so it’s likely the last word will have to rhyme with 'skies'. It appears to be referring to King, so it would make sense if the last phrase is 'as below his father lies' given the position the Titan corpse rests in.
  • Alternative possibility, 'cries', if we have a literal Gaia's Lament situation here.
  • 'Lies' is confirmed.

Killing a Titan is not completely necessary to free The Collector
In "Edge of the World", Bill tries to sacrifice King to free The Collector. However, as the Titan Trappers are dead set on killing Titans and the Collector is pretty Axe-Crazy, it could be that only some Titan blood is required to free him, but they're overdoing it with a whole sacrifice.
  • Confirmed. According to Belos, just some blood would be enough to free them and The Collector shows King a harmless method by having the young Titan make a pinkie promise on their mirror and physically pull The Collector out.

King will sacrifice himself
If “King’s Tide” is any indication due to it showing part of the Titan blood with some sad reactions of Luz and Eda being shown, it may indicate that King will be sacrificing himself for some purpose.
  • Confirmed. King forces the kids through the portal and gives himself over to The Collector as their new playmate.
