• Light 'em Up: Melody has light powers. Divine/sacred light, to be specific.
• Light Is Good: Melody is angel who has light powers and wears all-white clothing.
• Lightning Can Do Anything: Frankenstorm is brought to life by a large bolt of purple lightning.

• Mad Scientist: Dr. Victor Stein, but he's a downplayed example. Although everybody thinks he's crazy and dangerous, he never does anything even remotely illegal or immoral, until he sneaks into a cemetery, digs up the graves of criminals, and steals their body parts to create a monster.

• Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing: All that remains of David's clothes after he turns into a werewolf are the top half of his jeans.

  • Hamadi being a Lean and Mean Evil Chancellor who has a black beard/goatee and wears dark clothing makes him incredibly similar to Jafar from Aladdin.
  • Isabelle being a Bespectacled Cutie and Dork in a Sweater who loves monsters and mysteries is a clear reference to Velma Dinkley from Scooby-Doo.
  • Nicholette can fire ectoplasmic energy blasts from her eyes and hands as part of her ghost powers like the eponymous character from Danny Phantom. She even calls them ghost rays like he does.
  • David can unleash ultrasonic howls as part of his werewolf powers just like Blitzwolfer from Ben 10.
  • The title is a reference to The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
