"Then allow me to repeat myself, yet again! YOU! ARE! NINCOMBOTS!"
  • The opening credits to each episode which show Sonic and Tails outsmarting Dr. Robotnik, Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts while having fun.
    • Dr. Robotnik getting shoved out of the way by the next panel.
    • Scratch trying to flush Sonic and Tails out of the holes in the ground like a game of whack-a-mole. When he thinks he's got one of them by using a plunger, he's got Dr. Robotnik instead. Cue Oh, Crap! look on his face and the next shot showing Scratch being kicked hard enough to go crashing into a rocky hill and causing to crumble. Spelling the words "SONIC". Then Sonic moves in to sweep up the dirt mess with Scratch caught in it.
    • Sonic and Tails doing a little bit of a dance as they plant and water seeds on the grounds they walk upon. The resulting seeds sprout the word "Sonic" in bold blue caps.
    • When Dr. Robotnik tries to shove the words "Sonic" out of the way with a bulldozer, he gets crushed by a random giant stick of dynamite falling from the sky. When he sticks his head out, Sonic rips his mustache off and uses it to write the words "the Hedgehog" next in the air before disappearing to avoid the blast of the large dynamite exploding.
    • Scratch and Coconuts attempting to launch Grounder in the cannon at Sonic and Tails, only for the cannon to accidentally redirect itself at Scratch and Coconuts and explode at them.
  • Whenever Sonic says his impatient catchphrase, "I'm wait-ing!".
  • Whenever Robotnik goes into Large Ham mode (which is pretty much all the time). In fact, here's a list of all of Robotnik's glorious insults over the course of the show. The real kicker? The entire list is a whole episode's length.
  • The end credits, depicting Robotnik trying to flatten Sonic in a parody of the Road Runner cartoons. So funny that they got a Shout-Out In Archie's Sonic The Hedgehog Comic.
  • In "Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad" after Sonic tricks Robotnik into freeing him and Tails(via getting him to turn off his engine resulting in him crashing into the cage and demolishing Scratch and Grounder)Sonic leaves a recording for him:
Robotnik: Scratch! Grounder! Where are you?! Pick up that phone!
Recording The robots you have reached have been discombobulated, and the hedgehog you've been chasing got away, have a nice day!
  • Momma Robotnik PERIOD. She constantly abuses her son (Robotnik!) and is always escaping from a mental institution. A mental institution known as the "Mobius Home for Really Bizarre Mothers", no less.
  • "Lovesick Sonic" has this gem of an exchange following Breezie throwing Tails into a river.
    Scratch: Nice work, Agent Breezie!
Grounder: Yeah, very nice! That little brat is a real pain in the-
    Scratch: Hey!
  • The "Zoobotnik" episode takes the cake for the best (and cruelest) prank Sonic has ever played on Robotnik. He disguises himself as a justice of the peace, marries Robotnik to Katella, and invites Mama Robotnik to the wedding.
    • From the same episode: "This isn't my sport. How about some tiddlywinks?"
    • Coconuts getting completely shoved into his own trumpet by Katella results in the hilariously surreal sight gag of his legs popping out of one end, and then, somehow, a second set of his legs pop out the other end so he can walk offscreen.
    • The episode "Zoobotnik" as a whole. It's just bonkers, especially seeing Katella infatuated/physically assaulting Robotnik.
Katella: *while bashing him around* "I NEED YOU! I LOVE YOU!"
Robotnik: "I'm sure glad you don't hate me!"
  • The episode "Robotnik's Pyramid Scheme" has one of these in Scratch trying to seduce Masonic (Sonic's ancestor). When dolling himself up, Grounder tells him to hurry up, prompting him to say, "Oh, don't rush me! I gotta look juuuust right so he'll be attracted to me!" He then falls into Masonic's arms and, after, picks Masonic up and Marshmallow Hells him with his boob-cones. The wonderful moment was sadly cut out of the Toon Disney broadcast.
  • Robotnik's Humiliation Conga near the end of "Sonic Gets Thrashed", which ends with the "I hate that hedgehog!" to end all "I hate that hedgehog!"'s - and the revelation that Sonic captured his tantrum and plan to enslave Mobius on tape.
  • At the beginning of "Black-Bot the Pirate", after Scratch accidentally uses Robotnik's time machine to go back to the first Thanksgiving, he comes back after apparently ending up in their turkey and complains "Stupid pilgrims! It's bad enough they tried to eat me for dinner, then they had the nerve to say I tasted lousy!"
    • In the same episode, when Sonic swipes the treasure chest Robotnik is looking for and replaces it with a decoy that turns him into a chicken when he opens it.
  • Scratch's reaction to a shredded truck tire in "Road Hog." One of the few times the show breaks its Never Say "Die" rule.
Scratch: WE ARE GOING TO DIE! WE ARE GOING TO DIE!
    (crash)
    Scratch: ...WE ARE DEAD!
    • This exchange a mite earlier in the same episode:
Scratch: You will stop in two seconds flat!
Hypnotized Road Hog: I will stop you in two seconds with a flat!
(He proceeds to give Scratch's vehicle a flat tire, thereby stopping him in two seconds with a flat.)
  • From the opening of "Birth of a Salesman":
Robotnik: Nincombots! Metal morons! Idiots! Robotic rejects! Seditious slabs of unsalubrious circuitry! You... you... YOU NINCOMBOTS!
Scratch: Excuse me, Your Viciousness. You already said that!
Robotnik: Then allow me to repeat myself yet again! YOU! ARE! NINCOMBOTS!
  • In "Big Daddy" when a baby gorilla keeps mistaking Coconuts for his dad.
    Coconuts: STOP CALLING ME DADDY!
    • Also, the baby gorilla's introductory scene. He gets hit in the head with a coconut after Coconuts lands in the tree he's under and understandably cries Ocular Gushers for several seconds, the sobs of which sound suspiciously like they were done by Coconuts' own voice actor. But when Coconuts asks the gorilla to help get him down, he immediately stops this and asks "Who talk?" in a ridiculously deep voice.
  • In the German dub, Scratch Screams Like a Little Girl. In the first episode, when Grounder drills him in the tail, Scratch lets out a ridiculously high-pitched shriek of pain.
  • "86 on the chicken!" from "Mobius 5000".
  • After being near an exploding wall in "Tails' New Home", we're treated to a shot of Robotnik with a swollen eye. He then pulls a brick out from underneath his eyelid.
    • Also in the same episode, when Sonic tricks Scratch and Grounder into being smashed by posing as a postman with fan letters (he actually used it twice in the episode), a mushed Grounder responds with this.
Grounder: Dear Lulu, thanks for the letter. Why don't you take a long walk off a short pier? Fondly yours, Grounder.
  • Robotnik's interview in "Lifestyles of the Sick and Twisted".
  • In "Over The Hill Hero", after Sonic uses Captain Rescue's rescue rocket to go up into space so the force field he's trapped in can release him (thanks to air pressure which Sonic and Captain Rescue pointed out themselves), Sonic ends up hanging around in space.
Sonic: Wait, how am I gonna get down? (realizes) Oh, yeah... I'LL FALL!!!!
  • In Spaceman Sonic Robotnik's memetic combination of Chewing the Scenery and hitting his Rage Breaking Point when through a blunder by his badniks, all are stranded in space:
Robotnik: "WHY is my precious rocket-ship drifting off into deep space?! WHY am I reaching you at the coordinates of the abandoned space station?! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?!"
Scratch (to Grounder): You take the first two questions, I'll answer the last three.
  • During the episode, "Boogey-Mania", we get this exchange;
    Robotnik: Fools! Idiots!
    Scratch and Grounder: You called?
  • The part in "Momma Robotnik's Birthday" where Sonic tricks Scratch and Grounder into thinking they're on a game show and as Robotnik is about to tell them on the phone that the game show host is actually Sonic, Sonic slices the phone cord with a knife, which somehow cuts the line on both ends much to Robotnik's bewilderment.
  • The first episode shows just how stupid the Badniks really are.
    Sonic: I'm over there.
Badnik: *Looks away, then scratches head confused*
    • Sonic's defeat of Arms and Davy Sprocket. He speeds by and hands them a rope attached them telling them not to let go. They just look at each other bewildered before Sonic drags them for a torturous ride.
  • "Wow Scratch, you almost made me think Dr. Robotnik put a brain in your head." BAM "SILENCE!"
  • From the second episode:
Scratch: (To Robotnik) D-did I say we'll be rich?
    Grounder: (Offscreen) Yup.
    • When Scratch and Grounder see a giant boulder coming towards them, Scratch holds up a sign saying "Help!" on it, Wile E. Coyote style, before the impact.
  • Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts' instant Epic Fail in the opening credits, trying to shoot Grounder after Sonic out of a cannon. Coconuts tugs so hard on the detonator it thrusts Grounder in their direction and explodes.
  • Robotnik playing coy towards Sonic in "Trail of the Missing Tails" which leads to all sorts of bizarre poses atop his window sill.
    • When Doctor Warpnick reveals to Sonic that he has Tails captive, the Bound and Gagged Tails just shrugs at Sonic as if to say, "Buddy, I'm as stumped as you are".
    • Whilst Warpnick's explaining his backstory, we cut to Sonic sitting in a lounge chair eating popcorn urging him to get on with it.
    • Robotnik reunites with his cousin:
Robotnik: I thought I was rid of you, you fish-fondling fruitcake.
Warpnik: It is I who will be rid of you, you egg-sucking eccentric.
[They proceed to hit each other with fish, one of whom puts on a football helmet]
Badniks: Fish fight! Fish fight! Fish fight! Fish fight!
Scratch: Wow! I guess Dr. Robotnik made us more like him than I thought!
  • In "Slowww Going", Sonic temporarily forgets that his lil' buddy Tails really is just a lil' kid:
[Sonic asks Tails to jot down all the needed materials and things to be done to fix up the sloths' home as he rattles off the items, then asks to see the results]
[Tails presents Sonic with a notepad...full of indecipherable scribbles]
Tails: I'm only four and a half years old... I don't know how to write yet.
    • When Robotnik threatens to fire both Scratch and Grounder when they argue over the Slo-Mo Ray Gun, the two think he ordered them to fire the ray gun and fire it at Robotnik.
Robotnik: (slowly) Commmmeeee back... in exactly onnne hourrr... so I can dissmantle youuu!
    • And then there's what happens when Robotnik gets hit with the reversed ray gun.
Robotnik (quickly, with his voice higher-pitched) Stop! Ican'ttakethisforanhour! Igetspeedsick! Illgetsonicforthis! Hey! Wheredidthatmountaintopcomefrom?!
  • In "Sonic's Song," after Dr. Robotnik has sent out his Music Destroyer robot to stop people listening to the titular song, he begins writing his own song. Hilarity Ensues.
M.D.: Eh, should I put a stop to that? No, of course not! It's definitely not music!
  • The anti-drinking PSA for a couple of reasons. The first is that robots can apparently get plastered, despite their lack of internal organs, and the second is Scratch and Grounder's line delivery whilst drunk, still using their cartoony voices as they slur their lines.
Scratch: D'oh, hurry up, dingbot! I wanna try this booze!
  • In "MacHopper", Robotnik's line "How dare you interrupt me when I'm trying to look busy!"
  • In "Hedgehog Of The Hound Table" this exchange between Robotnik and Scratch when they discover Sonic has escaped from King Arfur's dungeon:
Robotnik: Before I go back in time to get the next Chaos Emerald, I think I'll humiliate Sonic before the entire kingdom. I can't wait to see the look on that Hedgehog's face when I tell him (beat) HE'S GONE!
Scratch: I don't think you have to tell him he's gone, your slowness. I think he knows! Bwahahaha!
Robotnik: When I want your opinion, I'LL GIVE IT TO YOU!
  • In "Tails in Charge" Scratch gets exasperated at Grounder being unable to understand his plan to capture Sonic:
Scratch: Grounder, you're as dumb as a rock!
    Grounder: Metamorphic, igneous, or sedimentary?
Scratch: Ignoranteous! (hits Grounder on the head with a rock)
  • The beginning of "Robotnikland" where Grounder mentions that Robotnik has eaten nothing but eggs for breakfast for the past ten years, so he and Scratch try to surprise him by giving him hotcakes instead. He doesn't take it well.
Robotnik: Hotcakes? Isn't that nice? You know what I like with my hotcakes? [grabs Scratch by the neck and pulls him onscreen]
    Scratch: What?
Robotnik: (slamming Scratch's face into the hotcakes) Chopped chicken brains!
[Robotnik takes the lid tray from Grounder, puts it on Scratch's head, and hits it with a ladle as Grounder dances in sync with Robotnik's poundings. Robotnik throws Scratch to the floor as Grounder laughs until Robotnik sets his sights on him]
Robotnik: Think that's funny, huh? You know what I like with my chicken brains...? [Grounder shakes his head "no"] Fried eggs.
Grounder: Phew, for a minute there, I thought you were gonna say "fried robot brains".
Robotnik: No, that's what I cook my fried eggs on. [rips off Grounder's apron and turns a stove knob on his chest, causing him to heat up and a small fire to erupt from his head. Robotnik slams a frying pan on his head, flattening him] Now get me my eggs!
    • Before all that happens, Scratch makes Grounder be the one to surprise Robotnik, to which Grounder complains that the last time he did, Robotnik demoted him to yacht anchor for a week. Grounder only reluctantly agrees when Scratch runs an egg beater against his nose, causing it to go limp.
  • "Sonic the Matchmaker" starts off with Scratch and Grounder trying to get Sonic with a bomb disguised as a chili dog. Not fooled, Sonic takes it and zips over to Robotnik while disguised as a delivery man.
Robotnik: Scratch! Grounder! Where's my food!? Those miserable metallic morons are always late!
Sonic: Your robots are running a bit behind, so they sent for takeout.
Robotnik: Take out? I'm as patient and good-natured as the next villain, but this is enough to make me blow my stack!
Sonic: You said it, not me!
(Sonic zips away. Robotnik lifts the lid of the serving platter just in time for the bomb to explode in his face)
Robotnik: I hate chili dogs! And I hate that hedgehog!
    • Soon after, we get this gem, when Scratch and Grounder realize what Robotnik really wants:
Scratch and Grounder: You want a wife?!
Robotnik: Any woman on Mobius would be proud to be Mrs. Robotnik!
(Scratch and Grounder give absolutely priceless looks of disbelief as the background music peters out)
    • Keep in mind, this is one of the few times that Scratch and Grounder are in disagreement with their boss. It's hilarious enough that even they know that no woman would want him for a husband, but the fact that Robotnik concedes the point to his own minions is the cherry on top!
    • Later on, we get this wonderful exchange as Robotnik unveils Omeletta, his robot wife, to Scratch and Grounder.
      Scratch: She's beautiful, doctor!
Grounder: Yeah! She's got really big-
      Scratch: Hair!
  • This corker from "The Last Resort" when Robotnik fakes his retirement:
Robotnik: I arrange an all-expenses-paid adventure holiday for the hedgehog, and he has the unmitigated gall... TO HAVE FUN?! I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!
  • In "Super Robotnik", Sonic exploits the otherwise-invulnerable Robotnik's "weak point" by dishing out some Literal Ass-Kicking and sending him square into the pit of yuck beneath the beam they're standing on. Immediately after, Robotnik's superpowers vanish thanks to a slow-acting potion he was tricked into absorbing earlier. Far from being bewildered or enraged, he's simply quietly horrified; in this case, even he knows Status Quo Is God.
Robotnik: Uh-oh. I think the jig is up...
  • "Mystery of the Missing Hi-Tops":
    • After Sonic's shoes are stolen, he tries to see how his feet handle his supersonic speed by doing a handful of laps up, down, and around his room. The result is a cross between Agony of the Feet and Rump Roast, and Sonic has to immediately jump into a bucket of ice to cool his heels.
    • Sonic's hi-tops are apparently Made of Indestructium, considering how the culprit, who ultimately wanted to cut them into pieces to sell as souvenirs, mentions they broke 16 sets of steak knives trying (and failing) to do so.
    • Coconuts' attempt at telling what happened that led to him sleeping in the closet: He claims that he got in a fight with the thief but got knocked out in the fight. The animation shows that he was simply knocked out by sleeping gas not even getting a chance to fight the thief.
  • "Pseudo Sonic":
    • As Tails starts figuring out the controls to the titular robot, he finds the lever that makes Pseudo Sonic go forward, then wonders what happens if he pushes it all the way. This is the part where you say to yourself, "Gee, Tails, what do you freakin' think is gonna happen?" Predictably, he sprints at full speed straight into an offscreen tree.
  • In "Tails Prevails", Robotnik disguises himself as Von Schlemmer to trick Tails into using the Robotnik-Nabber against Sonic. While making adjustments to the machine:
Robotnik: (in disguise, with an accent) And now, we'll add a tractor ray, to slow down his blasted little fast feet.
Tails: Are you kidding? Robotnik's not fast. He's a slow, stinky old watermelon.
    • The look on Robotnik's face is hilarious as he turns purple and he shakes, clearly offended by Tails' insult, but he refrains from lashing out and continues his ruse.
    • To rescue Tails from Robotnik, Sonic enters Von Schlemmer's lair through the sewer system, then comes out of the bathroom, covered in slime.
  • "Mass Transit Trouble" has a moment where Sonic uses a bomb detector, which acts like an adorable puppy, to try and find a bomb Robotnik planted at the airport. Instead it detects a terrible in-flight movie.
    • In the same episode, Sonic initially rejoices when he gets all three bombs...only to backtrack when he realizes he has all three bombs, which are set to go off any second.
  • "Sonic Breakout"
    • The comic Sketch Lampoon makes mocking Robotnik by portraying him as Humpty Dumpty, gets even funnier at the end after his new prison blows up and he says "I've fallen and I can't get up!" just like in the comic.
    • Robotnik's computer going crazy trying to keep up with Sonic during his prison escape, it finally gets burnt out and voices its frustration:
Computer: I quit, I want a nice quiet job, as a cash register.
