In which everything wrong with the comics industry is fixed.

Brought to you by Amanda and also Michelle who enabled the whole thing (and also came up with the name which is definitely the best name ever). Anya helped too. :D

This universe provides examples of:

  • Action Girl: Virtually all of the Princesses.
  • Action Mom: Lady Light.
  • Alliterative Family: The Beckson children (Ethan and Ellie).
  • Amazon Brigade: The Princesses.
  • Badass and Baby: One of the original reasons to create Lady Light. "Little Flame" is practically a part of Lady Light's costume.
  • Blessed with Suck: Flicker's electrokinetic powers seem pretty cool at first - but then you realise that, because she's permanently charged, she can't touch anyone for fear of shocking them. It won't necessarily kill you, but it's still a pretty risky side effect of her power.
  • Blind Weapon Master: Falconette, with guns.
  • The Cape: Lady Light intentionally plays this completely straight.
  • Civvie Spandex: Falconette's costume is... a tank top, cargo pants, and leather jacket.
  • Compelling Voice / Charm Person: Siren.
  • Cool Mask: Lady Light, Flicker, and Constellation all wear masks as part of their costumes.
  • Disability Superpower: Falconette is blind, but has echolocation/sonic abilities which give her better-than-average sight (as well as the ability to see through/around things). Don't ask how it works, just go with it.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: Andy King.
    • Dream Spying: Her dreams can be of the present or the future.
  • The Empath: Flicker, due to her ability to sense electric charges, has hints of this: she can tune in on a person's brain activity and decipher which areas are more active at any given time - kind of like a human EEG. She cannot, however, actually read minds.
  • Expy: Falconette and Siren are Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald, respectively.
    • Siren's (civilian) boyfriend, Zane, is, naturally, Zelda.
  • Flight, Strength, Heart: Literally Lady Light's powers, although the heart she already had.
  • Flying Brick: Lady Light, minus the invulnerability.
  • The Gunslinger: Falconette.
  • Happily Married: Lady Light and The Fox (Lucy and Richard Beckson).
  • Imagination-Based Superpower: Constellation's magic doesn't require invoking any sorts of spells or the like - she simply has to want it bad enough, and it will happen.
  • Improbable Aiming Skills: Falconette, due firstly to her military training (see below) and secondly to her sonic abilities (which give her highly accurate 'vision' despite her blindness).
  • Improbably Female Cast: There is only a single named male superhero, and the majority of rogues are female, as well.
  • Military Superhero: Falconette was a military sniper; she was discharged after being blinded in an explosion. Her sharpshooting skills developed before she ever knew she had powers.
  • Pungeon Master: Calendar Girl - although she puns not on the calendar, but on early rock/pop songs.
  • Secret Identity: All of the Super Sparkle Princesses have civilian identities as well as superhero ones, although to different ends:
    • Lady Light/Lucy Beckson: Lucy was originally conceived as a response to Captain Marvel's origin story - wouldn't a housewife be an even better secret identity than a child?
    • Flicker/Dr. Roxanne "Roxie" Yates
    • Mirage/Tallulah Monday: Despite the rather unique name, Tallulah is rather careless with her identity - as a shapeshifter, it's a fluid concept for her. Although she has a preferred form she is always changing it and certainly won't be recognized out of costume. This is also the reason she doesn't bother with a mask.
    • Siren/Leah Fitzgerald: Named (obviously) after F. Scott Fitzgerald (see above).
    • Falconette/Esperanza Miller: As with Leah, Esperanza is named after Ernest Hemingway, whose middle name was Miller.
    • Constellation/Lisbeth Dilgann
  • Shock and Awe: Flicker.
  • Superheroes Wear Capes: Lady Light, being a classic cape, wears one.
  • Superheroine Packing Heat: Falconette is a definite type A with a hint of D.
  • Super-Strength: Lady Light.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Falconette and Siren, respectively.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Mirage.
