Around the Clock at Bikini Bottom has many easter eggs and secrets relating to the show and Dave Microwaves Games's other works.
In general
- The golden spatulas were also a collectable found in SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom.
- Big Lenny was a character mentioned in the episode "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic", however he has never physically appeared on the show before.
- Patrick's Superpowered Alter Ego "Starfishman" is from the game Sponge Bob Square Pants Creature From The Krusty Krab.
- DoodleBob and Squid Doodle return from "Frankendoodle" while Doodle Patrick comes from the SpongeBob version of Drawn to Life.
- Potty mentions in one of the tips that you shouldn't bring up Mayo in casual conversation with a Jellien clone. As seen in the episode this game is based off of, mentioning mayo will instantly make all clones in earshot become aggressive.

Tutorial
- The game begins with SpongeBob declaring he will finally achieve his driver's licence that day. SpongeBob failing his driver's tests are a common Running Gag throughout the show.
- SpongeBob's glasses are a reference to the pair he wears when jellyfishing.
- The quest name "Jellyfish Jam" is a reference to the episode of the same name.
- The hooks return from the episode "Hooky". Patrick mistakes it for a carnival just like in that episode, but SpongeBob doesn't want to undergo the humiliation he suffered in that episode again.
Glove World
- Patrick says that he hasn't seen Squidward so happy since "the electrocution accident," referencing Breath of Fresh Squidward.
- The Tunnel of Glove comes from the episode of the same name.
- Right Glovey is the renamed Glovey Glove from Roller Cowards.
- The Magic Conch is from the episode "Club SpongeBob".
- The Nerdy Employee resembles the nerd from Weenie Hut Jrs. in all but name.
- Squidward's glove hat is identical to a similar glove hat worn by SpongeBob in Rock Bottom.
3451 Anchor Way
- Krabs' doll-a-rama comes from the episode "Wet Painters".
- One secret in this level is Mr. Krabs' painted dollar, which you can clean, also being a reference to the above episode.
- The way Jellien Pearl acts and charges at you is exactly from Plankton's nightmare of Pearl in the episode, One Coarse Meal.
Patrick's Rock
- Rocky is Patrick's "pet" from the episode "The Great Snail Race".
- The Imagination Box comes from the episode "Idiot Box".
- Patrick's secret box returns from "The Secret Box".
SpongeBob's Pineapple
- The remains of the previous magic pencil can be found.
- SpongeBob's "weight" lifting room can be found, previously seen in Help Wanted.
- The unusual show SpongeBob was watching in Your Shoe's Untied appears on the television.
- Doodle Patrick's attack looks similar to the memetic "Devious Patrick" scene from "Nature Pants".
Squidward's Monument
- One of the paintings you must collect is Bold and Brash, while the level climaxes with Squidward retrieving a wax sculpture of himself.
- One of the possible spawn locations for the clarinet is right next to the toilet in the bathroom, referencing a line from Graveyard Shift.SpongeBob: Squidward, I used your clarinet to unclog my toilet!
- In the closet is a gun and a box. Interacting with it causes an image of Red Mist Squidward to appear from SpongeBob in Randomland.
- A trophy case can be found which has Squidward's last name incorrect. This is a reference to a Running Gag in "The Great Snail Race".
Barg'N-Mart
- The hydro-dynamic spatula is seen in stock and being ogled at by SpongeBob, a reference to the Impossible Task Mr. Krabs set SpongeBob in Help Wanted.
- Some of the shelves are lined with things such as Baby Powder, Sponge-O and Canned Bread.
- If you pay attention to the clones wandering around, you'll find plenty of familiar faces among the crowd, such as Old Man Jenkins and Scooter.
Tentacle Acres
- Patrick confusing the radio for a living creature references a similar event from "Truth or Square".
- Tentacle Acres is the name of a gated community of octopi, that made it's debut in the episode Squidville. Getting fed up with Spongebob and Patrick's antics, Squidward decided to move out and into Tentacle Acres. He enjoyed living among his kind for the first few days, however things very quickly started becoming boring and dull for him there.
Mrs. Puff's Boating School
- The mission name "Operation: Big Fat Meanie" is a reference to a gag from the episode "New Student Starfish".
- The explosion effect is a gag used in many episodes, debuting in "Dying for Pie".
- One of Jellien Puff's voice lines is her bribing Spongebob with a driver's license to come out. This is obviously a reference to how Spongebob always fails to get his license in the original show.
Goofy Goobers
- The line of "Things are gonna get crazy." and Patrick's face afterwards are both taken from the episode "Moving Bubble Bass".
- The song the radio plays is the background music from "Employee of the Month".
Mermalair
- The Dirty Bubble calls Patrick "Tubby."
- The Orb of Confusion returns from "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy |||". Anyone's who seen the episode can definitely guess why it's in the trash.
- The wall of gadgets seen also originates in the above episode.
- The design of the Mermalair computer comes from the design seen in "Battle for Bikini Bottom".
- The death disco puzzle is also taken directly from the above game.
- All of the supervillains originate from different episodes of the show.
- The exception to this is Prawn, who is a boss once again from "Battle for Bikini Bottom".
- The Atomic Flounder's design is also taken off the cutout seen in "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy ||" as opposed to the Flounder's real self seen in "The Bad Guy Club For Villains".
Industrial Park
- The ideas of a giant Plankton attack and SpongeBob and Patrick fighting him in a biplane both come from the game "Creature From the Krusty Krab". Patrick and Spongebob even subtly reference the game, with Patrick feeling like he’s seen this before and Spongebob noting that he’s only flown a biplane in his dreams.
- The Industrial Park is taken from a few moments of "Prehibernation Week" and "Mrs. Puff, You're Fired", though the plant was fleshed out in "Battle for Bikini Bottom".
Krusty Krab
- The introduction video to the level is a direct reference to the episode "Krusty Krab Training Video". Just like the video, it has a Toilet Humor bacronym, with P.E.E. (Protect Every Entrance) instead of P.O.O.P. (People Order Our Patties)
- The Hash-Slinging Slasher returns from the episode "Graveyard Shift".
- Nosferatu appearing as the level's Gainax Ending is a gag taken directly from the above episode.
Larry's Gym
- Larry's Gym comes from the episode of the same name.
- The bunny dumbbells are a reference to the "weights" SpongeBob owns, seen in "Help Wanted".
Jellyfish Fields
- Prince Jellien is said to be the cloned version of Friend, a jellyfish seen in "Jellyfish Hunter".
- King Jellyfish's shower and curtain is taken from "Battle for Bikini Bottom".
- Ol' Bessy is a minor jellyfish-cow hybrid seen in "FarmerBob".
Goo Lagoon
- The ruined sand mech found in the castle comes from the episode "Sand Castles In the Sand".
- Weenie Hut Jrs. and the Salty Spitoon both come from the episode "No Weenies Allowed".
- Dennis is a character from the movie.
Sandy's Treedome
- Kenny the cat comes from his episode of the same name.
- Sandy's nieces from Sandy's Nutty Nieces.
- The entire level plot comes from the episode "Survival of the Idiots".

- The Rock Bottom Museum comes from "Battle for Bikini Bottom".
- The first half of Doodle Patrick's story describes the events of the SpongeBob version of "Drawn to Life".
- Doodle Patrick references "The Card" and Stuck in the Wringer" as examples of times when Patrick was a bad friend to SpongeBob.
