One of the Five greatest Neighbor Worlds. Is it known for always picking the best candidates to God on their homeland.

General

Hairein

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/af01.png
Captain
Age: 24
Voiced by: Nozomu Sasaki

  • Achilles' Heel: It's revealed that Hairein's trigger only allows him to turn Trion related objects into cubes for capture meaning that regular objects can still effect him. This ends up leading to his defeat near the end of the arc once Osamu deactivates his Trigger meaning that Hairein's Trion animals have absolutely no effect on him and he's forced to attack Osamu directly making him vulnerable to Mira and Yuma's attacks.
  • Animal Motifs: A Dragon, according to the Extra Material.
  • Anti-Magic: Alektor's attacks and abilities all negate trion, be it bodies, attacks or weapons. However, it only does this, having completely null effectivity against anything that isn't made of trion
  • The Beastmaster: At least appears like one, because his Black Trigger "Alektor" creates Birds, Fish and Lizards out of Trion to attack and defend. It's most likely just shaped energy balls though.
  • Big Bad: Of the Large-Scale Invasion Arc since he's the one who is leading the other Aftokrator Neighbors in capturing the C-Rank members of Border. Afterwards, he is also presented as the main enemy from Aftokrator that Hyuse and the Away Expedition team will have to face, albeit that yet has come to pass
  • Blue Blood: He is a noble of one of the ruling families of Aftokrator.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Not against using underhanded tricks like asking Mira for assistance and stabbing Kyosuke from the back with one of her portals.
  • The Captain: Of his group.
  • Let's You and Him Fight: Sets Hyuse against Enedora and Enedora against Hyuse. At the end he actually wanted to get rid of both since they would be problematic for his plans.
  • Manipulative Bastard: As mentioned above, he deliverately put Enedora and Hyuse against each other, while confiding with each that he was on their sides.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: His attempt to send Galopoula against Earth to distract their retaliation, catastrophically backfires when Border makes an alliance with Galopoula, feigning a delay to seemingly make Galopoula's mission successfull while obtaining the Galopoulans favor, who are ready to jump at the chance to rebel against Aftokrator. All in all, sending Galopoula to attack Earth resulted in absolutely nothing of help to Aftokrator, and in fact significantly empowered both Galopoula's and Earth's opposition to them.
  • Oh, Crap!: Has a couple of these looks over the course of the last part of the invasion arc once his plans start falling apart.
    • Firstly once he realises Viza was defeated by Yuma.
    • Secondly when Osamu deactivates his Trigger forcing Hairein to confront him directly.
    • Finally once he realizes that that Osamu's true aim was his ship the entire time and he's forced to flee without capturing "The Golden Goose".
  • The Paralyzer: His Trigger can turn its victims into Trion cubes without causing actual damage. Which is very useful when capturing enemies.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Why he doesn't want his team to make a full attack on earth. He is actually afraid that forcing the earth defenders too much would make them desperate enough to create Black Triggers thus making them far more powerful.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Towards his team, even asking for feedback from Lamvalein about his choices as a leader. Subverted later, when its revealed that he set out to get rid of two of his own teamates, not to mention that the only person he accepted feedback from, Lamvalein, is later detailed to be his little brother
  • Shoot the Dangerous Minion: Decides to get rid of Enedora due to his violent personality.
  • The Stoic: Always calm, even when things start going against his favor.
  • Technical Pacifist: Describes himself as one and at least it can be said he doesn't approve unnecessary violence. Fittingly uses a Trigger that captures Trion bodies but doesn't do physical damage.

Viza

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/af02.png
Age: 65
Voiced by: Hiroshi Naka

  • Affably Evil: Is easily the nicest guy amongst the Invading Neighbors, commenting that kidnapping children doesn't sit right with him and congratulating Yuma when he manages to score the deciding blow against him. That being said though he is still invading the human world and can be pretty ruthless when he has to be.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He is more gentle than most of his fellow countrymen, but also seems to have a darker side which he rarely shows.
  • Blade Spam: His power.
  • Blood Knight: A calmer and subdued variant in contrast to Enedora, but when defeated admits to never get enough of battles.
  • Cool Sword: His Trigger "Organon" is actually a sword hidden in a walking staff.
  • Evil Mentor: Downplayed. He was Hyuse's childhood teacher in swordsmanship, but while he does seem to care for Hyuse, he was ultimately in on the plan to abandon him on Earth.
  • Evil Old Folks: Seems very old and still battles on even grounds with the thus undefeated YĹ«ma. This is especially impressive when you consider that because of his age he's the only member of the Invading Neighbors not in possession of horns to better control his Trion but makes up for it with his extensive battle knowledge and powerful Black Trigger.
  • Eyes Always Shut: Always, without exception.
  • Graceful Loser: Takes his defeat at Yuma's hands pretty well, commenting that he can never get enough of combat, and calmly telling his boss that the one who defeated him is coming his way.
  • "Instant Death" Radius: Pretty much how Organon works, creating circular blades that cut through everything on the area that surrounds him.
  • Magic Staff: His Trigger might count, though it actually hides a sword. Can create energy blades everywhere around him.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Lying to Yuuma was his greatest mistake.
Yuuma: You know.... You make up some stupid lies.
  • World's Strongest Man: Suplemental material reveals he has the highest trion out of any character, even outscoring other Aftokratorian agents with horns. He is also mentioned to have brought down whole nations by himself in his youth, and Ashihara recognices him as one of the most powerful individuals in the entire series.

Lamvanein

Age: 24
Voiced by: Junichi Yanagita

  • Affably Evil: Rather friendly even while fighting, and as noted under Graceful Loser, he takes his loss without complaint and looks forward to fighting Yoneya and co. in the future.
  • Arm Cannon: His Trigger "Chelidon".
  • An Arm and a Leg: Loses his leg for being too confident of his incoming victory around Midorikawa.
  • The Brute: Averted. Looks like this because of his size, but hes actually a long range fighter with some honor inside.
  • Beam Spam: The cannon-batteries that he can grow out of his shoulders can fire a huge array of beams at multiple enemies and wipe out entire squads at once.
  • Big Little Brother: He's Hairein's little brother, but also way bigger than him, or any other character for that matter, towering at 2.02 meters.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: He enjoys fighting a lot and is an openly friendly guy.
  • Blue Blood: Being Hairein's brother, he is also from an Aftokrator noble family.
  • Graceful Loser: Congratulates Yoneya for defeating him and doesn't seem at all conflicted about it.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: By Yoneya.
  • Jet Pack: A feature of his Trigger which allows him to fly and bomb his enemies.
  • Morph Weapon: His Trigger, which can whip out various cannons at different parts of his body.
  • More Dakka: His main strategy in fights.
  • Noble Demon: Just like Viza, he seems to be a nice person that happens to enjoy fighting and is on the invading side. He even admits his defeat and wishes to fight against Yoneya again.
  • Shouting Shooter: When Yoneya jumps over him to stab him with his spear, lets just say he lets out a long scream.

Enedra

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/af05.png
Click here to him as Enedradd
Age: 20
Voiced by: Toshio Furukawa

  • Blood Knight: Very interested in killing humans. Deconstructed, as his tendency to ignore orders just to seek unnecessary fights makes him a liability and leads his allies to kill him.
  • The Brute: Though he displays some intelligence, correctly figuring out how the members of Kazama unit are dodging his attack and how Suwa unit are tanking his attacks, he also displays huge arrogance, meaning he plays this role to his group.
  • I Shall Taunt You: Constantly calling his opponents "Miden Monkey" to provoke them.
  • Jerkass: Which in turns gets him killed when Mira decides they have enough of him pissing off everyone.
  • Killed Off for Real: Was killed by his own allies before Border could take him prisoner. However, due to his horns taking root in his brain, the horns were able to keep his memories and personality intact, and he wants revenge on his former allies.
  • Morph Weapon: His Black Trigger "Vorvoros" can turn his entire body into liquid or gas.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Of either the "Made out of Air"- or "Made out of Liquid"-variety. His only weak point is a small, always moving orb in his body.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: Can cause massive damage with his Black Trigger and has no qualms doing so.
  • Sadist: He really enjoys mindless destruction and talking down to his opponents. Mira says this personality was caused by his trigger.
  • Smug Snake: Very confident on his abilities, which in turn gets him killed.

Hyuse

Mira

Age:23
Voiced by: Yurie Kobori

  • Arranged Marriage: Either with Lamvalein or Hairein.
  • The Evil Genius: She seems like the closest thing to an operator the invasion force has.
  • In the Back: Kills Enedra in order to recover his trigger, saying that was all she was supposed to recover
  • Evil Redhead: Possibly the most evil of her teammates not counting Enedora.
  • Sexy Secretary: Has the looks of it, and also acts as Mission Control to the rest of the group until she finally enters the battle herself.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Her Black Trigger can create portals, which can be used to retrieve allies. They can also be used as spikes to impale enemies.

    Galopoula

A vassal nation of Aftokrator, conquered a few years prior to the start of the series. They were ordered to twart Miden expedition plans and the potential counterattack against their lieges.

  • Apocalypse How: In a brief flashback from Reghindetz, we get to see a glympse of the aftermath of its lost war with Aftokrator.
  • Elite Army: Galopoula is especifically noted to have excelently trained, elite forces, so the bulk of its movements are made through small, deadly squads. Case in point, without a single Black Trigger, individual Galopoulan Agents are able to take on entire Squads from Border.
  • Forced into Evil: Aftokrator conquered them, and uses them as meatshields or distractions.
  • La RĂ©sistance: Galopoulans maintain some form of this towards Aftokrator. When Tamakoma offers them to form a personal alliance to combat their problems, they take the opportunity almost immediately.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: They have absolutely no enemity or interest towards Earth, but their liege, Aftokrator, have forced them to invade. When they get the opportunity to oppose Aftokrator with the help from Tamakoma, they take it almost right away.
  • Flunky Boss: The individual agents also summon large amounts of Dog and Idra trion soldiers to assist them in combat.

Gatlin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gattlin_face.png
Captain
Age: 35
Voiced by: Hisao Egawa
  • An Arm and a Leg: Kazama is able to cut one of his arms before the fight even beggins, but it doesn't really bother him as he replaces it with an Arm Cannon, and his trigger is a set of bladed arms that do not require the user's own limbs to operate.
  • Action Dad: Suplemental material reveals that he is married and has a son.
  • Arc Villain: Of the Galopoula Invasion arc.
  • Arm Cannon: Carries a powerful one on his trigger mode.
  • Do Not Go Gentle: Not lethal due to the nature of the combat in the series, but even after Konami slices him in half, seconds away from his Trion body breaking down, he stands his ground and shoots the cannon to try and complete his mission
  • Dual Boss: With Ratarikov, in the hangar battle.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Konami chops him in half by the waist along with Tachikawa.
  • Multiarmed And Dangerous: His trigger gives him extra claws and guns and allows him to fight against Konami, Tachikawa and Murakami on equal grounds.
  • BFG: Uses an enormous arm cannon.
  • Large and in Charge: Very large and bulky, and leads the Galopoulan invasion.
  • The Leader: Of the Galopaula expedition force.
  • Mighty Glacier: His trigger, Vasilissa is staggeringly durable and it also packs a huge wallop, allowing him to simultaneously fight 3 of the top agents of Border. However, he's not very fast.
  • Multiarmed Multitasking: His trigger Vasilissa manifiests as backpack from which 4 huge bladed legs, akin to those of a crab, protrude.
  • Scars Are Forever: Has a scar crossing his forehead.
  • The Stoic: Even more so than Halrein above, and at most he expressess a bit of surprice when chopped in half
  • Spider Limbs: Uses his claws like this once he is chopped in half, but it only allows him to stand for a moment and fire a last shot of his cannon.
  • Worthy Opponent: In his inner monologue he expresses his admiration of Border's forces, and in the face of defeat he openly voices it.

Ratarikov Real Name: Orkan Marduk

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/orkan_ep_75.png
Fourth Prince of Galopoula
Age: 17
  • An Arm and a Leg: Kazama defeats him for good by cutting off his legs and them stabbing him in the middle of the chest while hes on the ground
  • Deadly Disc: His trigger, Despinis.
  • Dual Boss: With Gatlin, in the hangar battle.
  • Graceful Loser: Congratulates Kazama on being defeated before bailing out. He doesn't seem particulary troubled.
  • Noble Fugitive: He's the Fourth Prince of Galopoula, but when Aftokrator annexed them, he hid undercover as a regular soldier.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: In chapter 202, he's revealed to be a Galopoulan prince.
  • The Stoic: Manages to be calm during the entire fight.
  • Homing Projectile: Uses disks that chase the enemy around for battle.

Wen So

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wen_so_ep_75.png

Age: 24
Voiced by: Mie Sonozaki
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Not truly killed, due to the nature of combat in the series, but her defeat is the series flashiest execution: Nasu causes all of her viper shots to trail the ground on route to Wen So, and when they are directly under her, they sprout in an spiral, violentely impaling her. Wen So's entire midsection is so ruined it doesn't even classify for Torso with a View.
  • Hologram: Her trigger allows her to create many of those.
  • Designated Girl Fight: Gets to fight against Nasu and Kumagai.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: Attacks with several copies of her to confuse her enemies.
  • Holographic Disguise: Uses her trigger Servitora to appear as Kumagai and attack Nasu.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Nasu impales her with a sprout of Vipers with such violence it basically blows up her entire midsection.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The only girl in the group.
  • Me's a Crowd: Can use her trigger to multiply images of herself and trick opponents.

Koskero

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/koskero.png
Vice-Captain
Age: 28
Voiced by: Kenjiro Tsuda
  • An Arm and a Leg: Most of his limbs are sliced off by massively long ranged shots from Jin wielding Fujin
  • Beard of Evil: A goatee.
  • The Stoic: Also very calm and level-headed.
  • Lean and Mean: Somewhat averted. He is noticeably leaner than other tall characters but as the rest of the Galopoulans he is just a Punch-Clock Villain forced into the role of an enemy
  • Improbable Weapon User: Uses jelly to debuff enemies.
  • Status Buff: His jelly makes enemy movements unstable and forces them to lose Trion by rendering their weapons useless.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: His trigger Nykokira is a shield that generates a weird substance. It nulls trion weapons and sticks to trion bodies, making it very difficult to attack him.
  • Talking Is a Free Action: Averted. Once Miwa asks him about his sister death, he gives a pause and tells him how talking in battle is ill-advised. Then he proceeds to try a surprise attack, but fails since Miwa was just trying to distract him from the beginning and gets sliced by Jin wielding Fujin.

Reghindetz

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/reghindetz.png
Age: 17
Voiced by: Ayumu Murase

  • Butt-Monkey: Always seems to get the short end of the stick.
  • Curbstomp Battle: Could be barely called a battle. He lasts for all of 5 seconds before Hyuse slams him to the ground and one shots him.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Lambyris blades slice him horizontally, leaving him as just shoulders and up before his trion body blows up
  • Hot-Blooded: Very prone to losing his patience.
  • Shock and Awe: His Trigger.
  • We Need a Distraction: Attempts to do this against Miden's forces, moving towards the city alone with many Idras as if he were to attack civilians. Sadly for him, Jin predicted no civilians would be harmed in the battle and as such no enemy follows him.
