The Seven Warriors

    Hongmao

Hongmao/Rainbow Cat/Howie/虹猫

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5498d3dc_22f4_4d97_b2a8_edd318bece26.jpeg

The titular "Rainbow Cat" and The Leader of the Seven Warriors. Inherited the Changhong Sword from his father Baimao, he ran away from the forest he once lived in order to protect Qilin and find the other six heirs of the sacred swords so that they can fend off the Demon Cult once and for all.

  • The Ace: He’s the best at martial arts in the Seven Warriors, smart, sharp, good at being the leader, composed, charismatic and kindhearted. No wonder he is a Chick Magnet.
  • Brought Down to Normal:
  • Chick Magnet: First, he got the World's Most Beautiful Woman - Lantu - fall hard for him. Then Linger, the princess of Mouse Clan, almost betrayed her mother aka the Big Bad of the season to save him. Last but not least, the daughter of Phoenix Guǎn where he attends, Shui Dingdang, develops a crush on him after they bond better.
  • Fiery Stoic: Unlike other examples of fire wielders in cartoons around the early 2000s, Hongmao is very composed. He’s not without his Hot-Blooded moments, but his general calmness overshadowed them.
  • Heroic BSoD: Falls deep into this after Lantu goes missing, the five other warriors turned into babies and he himself loses all of his power and skills in Season 4.
  • The Leader: Everyone in the Seven Warriors respects him and his words to the core, and he always takes charge of them whenever possible.
  • Nice Guy: He is polite, open-minded and chivalrous. It’s rare to see him being hostile towards others without good reason.
  • Playing with Fire:
  • Underestimating Badassery: While understandable since he’s depowered at the time and the Phoenix Island is quite secluded, everyone at the Phoenix Guǎn in Season 4 doesn’t really see him any differently from the other disciples at best and bullies him for (seemingly) having no skill in martial arts at worst. Yes, they do that to the same guy who took down an evil cult, foiled world-threatening plans no less than once, and was the leader of a Badass Crew chosen by the sacred swords.

    Lantu

Lantu/Blue Rabbit/Landau/蓝兔

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/af65fa6c_da59_43cb_8b1d_23f6ff06bcfd.jpeg

The "Blue Rabbit" and inheritor of the Bingponote  Sword, this beautiful, elegant owner of Yuchan Palace is Hongmao’s first companion in his journey to find the sacred swords’ heirs.

  • The Ace: She’s no slouch in this regard compared to Hongmao. The descendant of a literal fairy, owner of the sacred sword and Yuchan Palace, World's Most Beautiful Woman, outstanding martial arts skills and strong insight, chivalrous and benevolent; she has it all.
  • Always Someone Better: To Shui Dingdang. Lantu is the epitome of femininity that Shui Dingdang cannot become, causing the latter’s mother to treat Lantu like her own daughter, and also Lantu has Hongmao’s unconditional affection.
  • An Ice Person: Her personal field of power is ice, with a skillset involving making it snow any time, freezing body of water in an instance, and creating ice, snow and cold air on the spot.
  • Blue Is Heroic: The blue-cladded Sword Master.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Subverted. Unlike Hongmao, she still retains her power - or at least one part of it after falling into the Ageless Spring; she just forgets that she has it.
  • Cloth Fu: When she’s still at Yuchan Palace, she fights Zhu Wujie with the pink sash she wears.
  • Damsel in Distress: Even though she’s powerful, her kindness and tendency to sacrifice herself for others usually put her in dangerous situations she cannot deal with on her own and requires outside help. Season 4 cranks this up, pushing her into a state of helplessness left and right because she now has neither her former strength or wits.
  • Dude Magnet: Being the World's Most Beautiful Woman, she gains herself a considerable amount of admirers, though unlike Hongmao hers are usually villainous.
  • Fatal Flaw: Unconditional kindness. She will even help her enemy as long as her code of chivalry tells her so, and it threatens her life as much as it helps her.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook
  • Greater Need Than Mine: Lantu always puts others above herself and willingly throws herself in harm’s way to help them.
  • Honor Before Reason:
  • Identity Amnesia: Loses all of her memories about herself and the Seven Swordsmen after falling into the Ageless Spring at the beginning of Season 4.
  • Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: In the first few episodes when she is staying in her Yuchan Palace, she wears an elegant, flowing dress with pibo note  and head accessory. She still kicks Zhu Wujie’s ass in it without even using her sword.
  • Lady of War: She is very elegant and fights like dancing.
  • A Mother to Her Men: She cares for the maids and bodyguards at her palace like an older sister and takes offense when Zhu Wujie harassed them. When a maid willingly disguised herself as Lantu and blowed herself up so that her master can escape safely with Hongmao, Lantu broke down crying uncontrollably all the way.
  • Nice Girl: Her kindness and humbleness is basically her trademark feature at this point.
  • Pretend to Be Brainwashed: When Heixiaohu tried to trick her into drinking a drug that would make her listen to his words via the flute sound, she was quick-witted enough to swapped it out for a drug from Doudou she was having on hand, and pretended she was brainwashed to learn more about the Demon Cult’s plan and protect her companions.
  • Shrinking Violet: After losing her memory, Lantu becomes a demure, timid housemaid for the Phoenix Guǎn; a striking difference from the formerly charismatic and powerful Yuchan Palace‘s owner.
  • Silk Hiding Steel
  • Spike Shooter: She knows a type of martial arts skill that uses needles as hidden weapons to hurt people without them noticing. She demonstrated them in her earliest fight with Zhu Wujie by throwing and manipulating those needles via strings.
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: Embroidery is her hobby and she’s very skilled at it. Even after losing her memory, she can still make beautiful embroidery arts.
  • Tornado Move: One of her techniques has her jump and rotate mid-air, creating a large tornado to overwhelm the opponent and throw them across the air. She almost killed Zhu Wujie in the battle in Peach Blossom Forest with this, only relenting because at the time she had yet to deem him a threat worthy of elimination.
  • True Blue Femininity: She embodies an ideal Eastern woman with incredibly strong feminine charm, and is associated with blue.
  • World's Most Beautiful Woman
  • Underestimating Badassery: Everyone at the Phoenix Guǎn in Season 4 thinks of her as this beautiful and shy Damsel in Distress, not realizing she was a powerful authority figure and a Lady of War before she arrived at their island. Though since she herself lost her memory and doesn’t remember that she has such power, it’s understandable.
  • Yamato Nadeshiko: Welp, this being a Chinese work so she will never be mentioned as one, but she’s kindhearted, elegant, motherly, humble, self-sacrificial, good at all sorts of housework (as shown in Season 4) and has an iron will.

    Sally

Sally/莎丽

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/261dcc2b_9e98_4950_b193_6590b780786d.jpeg

The Ziyun Sword Master, whose identity was stolen by Ma Sanniang when Hongmao and Lantu first found her and she was instead known as the landlady of Jinbianxi Inn. Not only was she muted by the woman, she even had one arm abolished - as a result, she could only practice one-armed swordsmanship.

  • And I Must Scream: She was rendered mute by Ma Sanniang before Hongmao and Lantu met her, and had to witness her identity being overtaken before her very eyes.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: After stealing her identity, Ma Sanniang could have killed her any time and no one would know, but since the former isn’t a chosen sword master she cannot do the Sword Fusion and her cover will be blown immediately, so she keeps Sally alive to do it for her.
  • Career-Ending Injury: The poison Ma Sanniang used in an attempt to kill her ends up abolishing her right arm. Subverted at the end of the season thanks to Quilin’s blood.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: The emotional trauma she has thanks to Ma Sanniang prevents her from opening up to the other Sword Masters even when she knows she owes them her life.
  • Determinator: If any other swordsman lost their favored arm, they would quit thinking about touching a sword ever again. Sally however, after regaining her will to live on despite the trauma she carries, trains rigorously to fight with only her left arm. It takes times, but she eventually manages.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After spending the entire season 1 being tormented by the damn woman, she gets her revenge in the end by personally slaying Ma Sanniang with her left-armed swordsmanship and taking back the Ziyun Sword.
  • Graceful Ladies Like Purple: She dresses in purple and is as much of a Lady of War as Lantu.
  • Handicapped Badass: She can only use one arm to fight, but she’s no less badass than other warriors.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Her image color is purple and she’s a very capable swordswoman even when disabled.
  • Situational Hand Switch: She switches to practice swordsmanship using her left arm after her right arm was abolished.
  • Trauma Conga Line:
  • Tsundere: Type B when it comes to Daben. She’s solemn and respectful towards everyone else, but can get aggressive with Daben due to his Leeroy Jenkins tendencies or failure to take hints.

    Doudou

Doudou/Tease/逗逗

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/00834c92_4bf8_4b43_b29f_dd28a26c6437.jpeg

The young owner of Yuhua Sword, Doudou is the fourth member of the crew. He is renowned as a genius medic and gets involved with Hongmao and Lantu when they’re trying to find a way to cure Sally.

  • Adorably Precocious Child: Naive as he may be from times to times, he’s still much more mature and knowledgeable than a 12-year-old should be, to the point new viewers would think he’s around Hongmao’s age.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: He’s 12 at the time of debut, while everyone else are 17 or older.
  • Butt-Monkey: His naivety and ego often makes him an easy target for jokes.
  • Child Prodigy: Master medic and equally good swordsman, who can believe he’s only 12 years old?
  • Combat Medic: His talent in medicine is well-known and he personally saves the life of several fellow swordsmen multiple times. He also doesn’t fall behind amongst the seven Swords Masters despite being the youngest.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: His father was hunted down and killed for being a former member of the Seven Warriors, his mother died protecting him, and the master who took him in also died after transmitting all his medical skills to Doudou.
  • Determinator: Episode 39 of "Hongmao Walks the World with Sword" Doudou risked his life to fight with Sanlang in order to give Linger the purest roses.
  • Famed In-Story: He’s a famous medic, and Hongmao specifically searches for him in hope of curing Sally’s arm.
  • Making a Splash:
  • Master Poisoner: He’s as good at poison as medicine.
  • Precocious Crush: He has an innocent admiration for Linger, his apprentice in Season 2, who is 16 to his 13 (there’s a 1-year timeskip between Season 1 and 2). The poor kid’s feelings didn’t end awkwardly however, it ended tragically.
  • Younger Than They Look: One part due to how he uses the appearance of a bulldog - as its wrinkled face would invoke an older feeling, but if you don’t read side materials you won’t know that he and Hongmao has a five-year gap between them.

    Daben

Daben/Big Ben/大奔

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e7815f83_1490_4af2_8d04_4d493c32b5db.jpeg

  • The Alcoholic: During his first appearances, he was always in a state of drunkenness and chugged down alcohol like water. This problem of him got worse after he lost his Godmother and Niu Xuanfeng, before he finally manages to quit alcohol altogether.
  • The Big Guy: He’s the biggest of the warriors, on the courtesy of being a literal white bear.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Daben is the Hot-Blooded big guy of the Seven.
  • Heel Realization: Quits alcohol and gambling and tries to take his duty as a heir of the sacred sword seriously after the death of his Godmother and Niu Xuanfeng.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He’s hot-tempered, hasty and likes to show off, but nonetheless is incredibly noble.
  • Leeroy Jenkins:
  • Shock and Awe: He has power over lightning.

    Tiaotiao

Tiaotiao/Jumper/跳跳

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c809f425_851b_4079_9990_97346f39e9b1.jpeg

The Sixth Warrior and the Qingguang Sword Master, but his first few appearances make it look like he was the Big Bad’s right hand man. The truth is that he infiltrated the Demon Cult and rose to the rank of a Guardian in an attempt to avenge his parents, who were killed by Heixinhu. He is smart, self-reliant and witty, but has a tendency to be too persistent for his own good.

  • Awesomeness by Analysis: He can discover the enemy’s weaknesses just from observation.
  • Brains and Brawn: He is the Brains to Niu Xuanfeng or Zhu Wujie’s Brawn when he’s in the Demon Cult.
  • Determinator: Spends a whooping ten years inside the Demon Cult‘s lair just to avenge his parents.
  • Dragon with an Agenda: In the cult, he is Heixinhu‘s right-hand man, but he is also anything but wanting the man alive.
  • Good All Along: He debuts as a high-ranking member of the Demon Cult, with absolutely no side note that he is The Mole with heavy Orphan's Ordeal until the story starts to shift its focus towards him.
  • Master Actor: Being able to become your enemy’s right hand man requires some serious acting skills.
  • The Mole: While he does this on his own will without anyone knowing, he always tries to help the Sword Masters from inside the Demon Cult when possible by either feeding them information or indirectly protecting them.
  • Orphan's Ordeal: He mourns his parents’ death a lot. When he failed to kill Heixinhu to avenge them, he broke down crying under the rain while begging for their forgiveness, and almost Driven to Suicide were Doudou to not stop him in time.
  • Shock and Awe: Similar, but not quite the same as Daben. He controls electricity.
  • The Smart Guy: While not as much as Hongmao, he shows himself to have the quickest wits among the crew.
  • The Social Expert: He’s confident, flexible, witty and observant, knowing how to stroke people the right way and the appropriate reaction to every situation so that he can keep both his cover and his fellow warriors safe.
  • You Killed My Father: Heixinhu killed his parents and in the name of revenge, he went undercover into the Demon Cult to find a chance to kill the man responsible for their death. Impressively, he almost succeeded after ten years of planning.

    Dada

Dada/Dan/达达

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/49b1c33e_abfa_49de_8a48_bfc1ef4d1903.jpeg

The guardian of the Baicao Valley, and the last Warrior to be recruited. Though he owns the Xuanfengnote  Sword, he is more often seen fighting with his guzheng. Unlike the chaotic whirlwind he can produce, he is a man of wisdom, responsibility, and right temperament. He will do anything for the sake of his wife and child, even if forced by a despicable villain...

  • Absurdly Youthful Father: Has a child at 20. Maybe that’s why he’s acting several years older than he actually is - he has big responsibilities to deal with as a father after all.
  • Action Dad: He’s the father of a child, and kicks asses on a frequent basis.
  • Acting Your Intellectual Age: Even though he is only 3 years older than Hongmao, he behaves as if they have several decades in between.
  • Blow You Away
  • Cultured Badass: Aside from martial arts, he’s also proficient in playing the guzheng note , chess, calligraphy and painting.
  • Forced into Evil: Heixiaohu forced him to help the tiger pass as Hongmao and work against the other swordsmasters by taking his pregnant wife hostage. He was so conflicted and in despair that he attempted to slit his own throat.
  • Happily Married: He is the first in the Seven Warriors to marry and even have children. He loves his wife a lot, and no point for guessing how he reacts when she’s taken hostage by the Demon Cult.
  • Irony: The resident Team Dad is not immune to being turned into a baby in Season 4.
  • Musical Assassin: His guzheng can release multi-frequency sound waves that slice off leaves and trees like butter, and when he plays it, beneath the beautiful melody can be an unnoticed upcoming death for the hearer.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: After he recognizes Lantu and hears her reason to go into his forest (to find a crystal flower that would cure Sally’s disability), he throughly guides her to the cave it resides and warns her about the risk.
  • Team Dad: On the courtesy of being a real father, he acts like this for the team.
  • Younger Than They Look: Has a mature demeanor and is a father, but he’s only 20 years old.

Season 1

Demon Cult

    Heixinhu

Heixinhu/Black-Hearted Tiger

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6486c69d_fc81_4b04_8044_56030045f71c.jpeg

  • Action Dad: He’s the father of Heixiaohu.
  • Bad Boss: He has no problem punishing his minions for the slightest misdemeanor, and enforces loyalty on them via a drug.
  • Big Bad: Of Season 1.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite how harsh he acts, he sincerely loves his son, and for the first time ever shows shades of humanity when he realizes Heixiaohu is killed.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: His son is killed mid-story, whereas he lives until the final episode of the season.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: He blames the seven warriors for the death of his son and swears to take revenge.

    Heixiaohu

Heixiaohu/Black Tiger

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6bd15716_6432_4e01_963a_4a8c70832971.jpeg

The young master of Demon Cult, son of Heixinhu.

  • Back from the Dead: In the later comic book Legend of the Black Tiger, he was resurrected.
  • Bad Boss: He doesn’t really care about his subordinates and outright abuses Zhu Wujie whenever he thinks the pig is being annoying or a nuisance.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: He sees his heart go yonder for Lantu after she rescued him from a swarm of deadly insects.
  • Died in Your Arms Tonight: He has his last breath in the arms of his father.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: When chasing the seven heroes, he was led to the minefield he set up and killed by explosives.
  • If I Can't Have You…: Once he realizes no matter what he does, Lantu won’t love him, he snaps and tries to kill her along with the Sword Masters.
  • Missing Mom: While we know his father very well, his mother Baili died long ago and never made an appearance in the animation.
  • Noble Demon: He values chivalry and starts off being such noble person it would be difficult to think he’s on the same side as Zhu Wujie.
  • Not Quite Dead: In a sample publication, he is said to just be shocked by the impact of the explosion and falls into an apnea. When the seven swords were fused, he woke up. Other medias however said he died for real.
  • Shapeshifting: He is capable of shapeshifting into Hongmao in appearance and voice, and tries to sneak between the heroes when Hongmao is not present. But since he can barely imitate the latter’s personality and also because of Lantu’s interference behind his back, the other swordsmen quickly notice something off about their leader.
  • Villainous Crush: He has a genuine love for Lantu because of her chivalry, even helping the Warriors several times in attempt to impress her. His affection however turns into hatred the more he sees Lantu only has Hongmao in her eyes, and he eventually makes up his determination to kill her only to die in process.

    Ma Sanniang

Ma Sanniang/

    Zhu Wujie

Zhu Wujie/四堂主

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/030f08e3_39ca_46a4_b904_e7e15ed8037f.jpeg

  • Asshole Victim: Brutal as Heixiaohu’s beatdown on him is, seeing how almost all the negative aspects of human nature are reflected from him alone, he just has it coming.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: He’s the butt of jokes, sure, but unlike Niu Xuanfeng he’s also a despicable villain.
  • Butt-Monkey
  • Dirty Coward
  • Hate Sink: Heixinhu has genuine love for his son, Heixiaohu and Niu Xuanfeng are Noble Demon, and Ma Sanniang‘s cunningness is actually worthy of respect; what does Zhu Wujie have to make himself more likable, even in the Love to Hate category? Nothing. He is stupid, incompetent, cruel, a pervert and a coward, and even killed a comrade just because.
  • Poison Is Evil: One of his weapons is darts slathered in poison. Hongmao got hit once, and were Lantu to not provide him first-aid on time he would probably be dead.
  • Smug Snake: He may have some guile, but he is definitely no where smart enough to be so prideful.
  • Villainous Crush: He also loves Lantu and tries to marry her, but only because of her beauty and not her heart.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He tries to kill Lantu when she is disobedient towards him, which resulted in the Heroic Suicide of Lantu’s maid and later subjects Daben’s Godmother to torture before killing her off.

    Niu Xuanfeng

Niu Xuanfeng/Bull Whirlwind/三堂主

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a58646c3_e05d_4386_b390_d5f3acf5afdc.jpeg

Master of the Third Hall of the cult.

  • Affably Evil: While he does try to harm the Warriors several times, he doesn’t care about being cruel towards them and just wants to make achievements. In fact, he is Sworn Brothers with one of the heroes, Daben.
  • Dual Wielding: He dual-wields two axes as his weapon.
  • Dumb Muscle: He only has his muscles to show, and is both played around by and reliant on Tiaotiao whenever they team up.

    Baili

Baili

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/d7d3df15_854a_4cc0_b3bf_d7ba81bcae38.jpeg

Heixinhu’s wife and Heixiaohu’s mother. She died protecting her son very long ago, thus never appears nor mentioned in the animation.

  • Deceased Parents Are the Best: While Heixinhu does love his son, Baili is evidently the better parental figure to Heixiaohu when she doesn’t want him to follow his father’s ambitions.
  • Light Is Good: She is a white tiger dressed in white attire, and described as a gentle, upright and peace-loving woman - a stark contrast to her husband.
  • Mama Bear: She made Heixiaohu take medication to repress his martial arts talent so that he wouldn’t follow his father’s brutal footsteps.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name means "White Pear".
  • Taking the Bullet: She died after blocking a knife for the young Heixiaohu.
  • Posthumous Character: There is no mention of her in the animation and she only makes her appearance in the comic that focuses on Heixiaohu‘s past, because she died while her son was still young.

Season 2

Rat Clan

    Linger

Linger/灵儿

The Saint and princess of the Rat Clan. She goes undercover as Doudou’s apprentice in order to stir conflict between the Sword Masters and Sirius Gate for the purpose of finding the five crystals. However, she comes to develop genuine affection for the seven heroes...

  • Heel–Face Turn: The more time she spends with the seven heroes, the more she realizes her mother’s actions are immoral, so she gradually switches to the heroes’ side.
  • The Mole: She is the Rat Clan’s mole inside the Sword Masters whose purpose is to stir up conflict between them and Sirius Gate.
  • Unwitting Pawn: Of her mother’s world domination plan. She was tricked by her mother that all of this is to save the Rat Clan, while it’s actually to serve her ambition.
  • Weapon Specialization: She uses an iron whip as her weapon.

    Rat Queen

Linger’s mother, queen of Rat Clan. Harbors the ambition to dominate the world.

    Dalang

大郎

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/16e575da_3673_432b_b1ed_6939402ae886.jpeg

  • Big Brother Instinct: The reason he antagonizes the seven heroes is that he was tricked into believing they’re responsible for his younger brother Erlang’s disappearance.
  • Cool Uncle: He loves his niece, Xiao Jingzi, to no end, and immediately stops fighting Hongmao the moment she appears to explain her father’s disappearance.
  • Good All Along: While he’s built up as villainous, it’s actually a misunderstanding.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure:

    Erlang

二郎

  • Badass in Distress: He was kidnapped by the Rat Clan.
  • Good Parents: He is a very caring father to Xiao Jingzi, tries to do everything to keep her safe, and is finding a way to cure her blindness.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Surprisingly one of the rare non-fatal cases in this series. He uses a Dangerous Forbidden Technique to help Linger and Xiao Jingzi reach the battlefield in time to take down Sanlang at the cost of all his martial art abilities.

    Sanlang

三郎

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/35f0ab39_3227_4ec2_a4e0_1c089e300810.jpeg

The third head of Sirius Gate. He is insidious and does everything he can to achieve his goal. He can persevere in doing things and never fight unprepared battles.

  • Cain and Abel: The Cain to Dalang and Erlang’s Abel.
  • Despair Event Horizon: As those with disability cannot inherit the Sirius Gate, after receiving his share of Eye Scream, he breaks down and goes into a hysteria that eventually led to his Face–Heel Turn.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: He betrays Sirius Gate by killing his brother Dalang.
  • Eye Scream: When following the seven heroes into the Rat Clan’s place, he was injured on the way, resulting in blindness in the left eye.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Sanlang has always been ambitious, but at first he still respects his brothers and wishes to become the head legitimately. After losing his left eye however, he goes hysterical and betrays his own family, then does everything in his capability to become the strongest.
  • Poison Is Evil: He uses poison to kill his own brother.

    Xiao Jingzi

小镜子

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/8c3cabe6_5b1f_487e_99f4_aa3b67b61566.jpeg

Season 3

    Xueer

雪儿

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/e884ba93_b30e_449c_94d4_d0e34412456c.jpeg

The Princess of Lingshang Gate. She’s actually the Saint of Xueshan Clan and daughter of Xuejing.

  • An Ice Person: She can control snow.
  • Died in Your Arms Tonight:
  • Ethereal White Dress: Her attire is white and she’s deemed to have the unearthly beauty of a fairy.
  • Gratuitous Princess: Unlike Linger of the previous season, Xueer is not actual royalty, but she’s called "princess" anyway as she’s the daughter of Lingshang Gate’s head.
  • Heroic Sacrifice
  • Horned Humanoid: She looks surprisingly humanoid compared to other characters so far, aside from the horns since she’s a Tibetan antelope. It’s clear she takes after her mother...because the leopard-looking Lingshan Gatekeeper has never been her father.
  • Long-Lost Relative: She is Lantu’s cousin, which explains their affinity with winter-related power.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: She appears cold and haughty.

    Mo Jiangxing

莫将

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a0381e85_924b_4487_94a3_68b1b2f90a14.jpeg

Season 4

    Shui Dingdang

Shui Dingdang

Daughter of the head of Phoenix Guǎn.

  • Alpha Bitch: She oppresses Hongmao during his first day at Phoenix Guǎn, and acts haughty towards Lantu.
  • Heir Club for Men: Her parents initially didn’t want to let her inherit the dojo because she’s female.
  • Textile Work Is Feminine: Her mother makes her learn embroidery to distract her from her passion for martial arts, but she always resists.
  • Tomboy

    Hantian
