What happens in this country stays in this country, so... are you ready to try your luck?"
Quackity's advertisement
Founded by Quackity and constructed by Awesamdude, Las Nevadas is a city based around gambling and aims to be an entertainment hub on the server.
  • Arc Words: "The House always wins."
  • Bolivian Army Ending: Quackity's lore stream about his visit to prison has it ending with a battle log showing Quackity being concerned for Las Nevadas's safety after Techno's escape. Then we see what is possibly the most horrifying Wham Line in this entire arc — "DREAM HAS ESCAPED PRISON". The Battle Log ends with Quackity saying that he has gathered Las Nevadas's citizens and armed them with resources and that they are awaiting an attack very soon. Given what happened last time Dream and the Anarchists fought a hastily armed militia...
  • The Casino: Being named after Las Vegas, the city is centered around betting and gambling, and a couple of references have been made to characters becoming The Gambling Addict in the casino.
  • Chekhov's Army: A literal army in this case, and invoked. Quackity spends about three months training up an army of slimes to defend Las Nevadas, which buy him some time as a Redshirt Army as the nation's defense system during the country's fall.
  • Dramatic Irony: The entwined story of Kinoko Kingdom and Las Nevadas is best summed up as this, along with a boatload of Poor Communication Kills. After El Rapids declared independence, Quackity, the country's President, decided to focus more on L'Manburgian politics throughout the rest of Season 2 and set off on his own to start construction on Las Nevadas to back up the country (and so that the fiancés could get hitched), leading him to seemingly abandon El Rapids without telling everyone else why he did so. This caused the country to become "stagnant", and Karl, Sapnap, and George decided to dissolve El Rapids to create Kinoko Kingdom (though this is also fueled by Karl being urged to move his library after "The Masquerade" to keep it out of the Blood Vines' reach). Though they intended to invite Quackity to the country, Karl, the one who was tasked with this, forgot due to his time-travelling–induced amnesia, and when George finally told Quackity about the country, it drove him down a spiral, believing everyone else to have abandoned him. When Sapnap finally sought Quackity out and actually talked and brought him to visit Kinoko, Quackity did acknowledge the miscommunication... only that Karl never told anyone about his memory issues, which had worsened tenfold in the meantime (so much that he forgot what Quackity meant to him), and Quackity himself started lashing out in response because he never confided in anyone about his own issues (i.e. copious amounts of trauma), to the point the two had a whole Second-Act Breakup and pretty much placed restraining orders against each other.
  • Dwindling Party: From the death and disappearance of Slimecicle, Purpled's betrayal, and Sam's imprisonment in his own prison, it leaves only three who are loyal to Las Nevadas and left to defend it.note  Quackity is painfully aware of this, which is one of the reasons he ends up creating his Chekhov's Army. By the end of the last Las Nevadas stream, even after coming back, Slimecicle has chosen to cut ties with Quackity. As for Fundy, while he did show up at the grand opening (and was noted to have quite the gambling addiction), it's noted that by the time Wilbur tries to reconcile with Fundy, he had since left to go live on his own away from the rest of the server. By this point, Foolish is the only person who still remains at Quackity's side.
  • Ironic Name: Las Nevadas looks like a desert, but its name literally translates to "the snowfall". Granted, it is possible for there to be snow in the desert, but it isn't something one would usually associate with a desert.
  • Instant Militia: Quackity mentions in Day 2 of his Battle Log that he has managed to rally the citizens of Las Nevadas to defend their home and has armed them with various resources, all in one day after Dream's (seeming) escape.
  • LOL, 69: According to Quackity the content creator's lore plans, the highway leading to Las Nevadas is named "Interstate 69".
  • Meaningful Name:
    • The name of the faction is named after Las Vegas, Nevada, a city renowned for gambling. During construction, the codename for the faction was even named "Project LV", with 'LV' being short for Las Vegas.
    • At the same time, the name of the faction is translated to be "the snowfall" in Spanish, whereas Las Nevadas is shown to be built on the edge of a snowy biome.
  • Mega City: By Dream SMP standards, it was one. In terms of size, the faction is practically built to be one, taking up an approximated five squares on Eret's map of the server.note  The population part also added up, having 6 members altogether at its peak (which, as mentioned above, is a large number of people by the standards of the server), but due to the Dwindling Party trends after "Las Nevadas" Episode 4, this is gradually becoming subverted.
  • Misplaced Wildlife: According to The Wilbur Van, Las Nevadas is home to scorpions and king cobras even though the country was built on a fake desert located in a terraformed mountainous biome. It's speculated and later stated by Wilbur that Quackity brought in the scorpions to keep up the desert façade... which still doesn't explain the king cobras, since they're native to the forests and jungles of South and Southeast Asia.
  • Persona Non Grata: There is a citizenship blacklist for the faction.
    • Karl, Sapnap, and George (the founders and main citizens of Kinoko Kingdom) were barred from the country, presumably for breaking Quackity's heart and other related reasons. Since then, Sapnap's ban has been revoked as he and Quackity made up, but the others' remain.
    • Wilbur is on the list because Quackity believes that he is too unpredictable to be part of his faction.
  • Revenge: According to Quackity the content creator, revenge is one of the motivations behind the creation of Las Nevadas, as a way to prove everyone who has doubted him or opposed him wrong.
  • Shout-Out: The Las Nevadas bunker, built by Foolish, is an exact replica of the Skeld map from Among Us, but in Minecraft.
  • The Stoic: Quackity claims that there isn't any room for personal feelings and emotions in the country. The stone reconstruction of the Eiffel Tower and the wedding pavilion blatantly state otherwise. This is later lampshaded by Slime/Charlie in his "The Reason You Suck" Speech to Quackity.
Slime/Charlie: Lesson three: Create no emotional attachments. But you didn't follow that lesson, Quackity, and I didn't either. Maybe that's why we're here.
  • Suddenly Significant City: It has turned from a blank desert far from the main hub of the SMP to an up-and-coming hustle-and-bustle hub for entertainment... and lore.
  • Superior Successor: Arguably this to El Rapids, especially after Quackity destroyed the country block-by-block out of grief long after the fellow members of his country dissolved it and left for Kinoko Kingdom.
  • Terraform: In a side-by-side comparison on terrain maps, it can be seen that the 'desert' that Las Nevadas was built on was actually created by terraforming a mountainous biome into flatland.
  • Viva Las Vegas!: The city takes after its namesake a lot, with loose marriage laws and plenty of nightlife and casinos.

"I know you're sent away and... I'm sorry. But when you need someone, you know where to find me."
In-game name: awesamdude
Preferred name: Sam
One of the eight original members of the SMP, and one of its several server operators. Though he was in the server since the very beginning, he never really got involved with any of the server's plotlines until after the L'Manberg Election due to college.

Sam is most known for his work on Pandora's Vault, a nigh-inescapable prison meant to hold the most dangerous people on the SMP. He was commissioned by Dream to build it, and with its completion, he became the prison warden. This shifted his priorities greatly; his job and purpose was to keep Dream locked in the prison, no matter the cost.

After finding out, through whatever means, that Ranboo was the one who triggered the prison lockdown, Sam kidnapped Ranboo's son Michael by convincing Eret that he could keep Michael safe, and used him as a hostage to have Ranboo arrested; and during the prison break, Sam eventually killed Ranboo in response to Dream's refusal to cooperate. In the aftermath of this, Sam was locked up in Pandora's Vault after Tubbo, Eret and Technoblade teamed up to save Michael and avenge Ranboo. Dream, who is using Pandora's Vault as a hideout, has since released Sam again, albeit on a deal the two made while Sam was in prison — that Dream would get the keys to the Vault in exchange for Sam's freedom.

Sam has one life left. He was first killed with a pickaxe by Dream prior to being released from prison; his second canon life was lost from bleeding out from his injuries after Ponk attacked him. However, it has been revealed that Sam has multiple bodies, thus it's unknown how much the three-life system really affects him.
  • Autocannibalism: He's driven to this when trapped on top of the Crimson Egg, to horrifying degree.
  • Bad People Abuse Animals: Well, it's hard to call Sam full-on bad, but BadBoyHalo does call out Sam for killing Techno's dog Apollo during the prison break.
  • Badass Bookworm: Sam is renowned for his redstone skill and often learns through reading ancient tomes, which explains why his stream chat is canonized as the glyphs floating near enchantment tables. He is also the prison warden for the Dream SMP's equivalent of The Alcatraz.
  • Black-and-White Morality: Sam views the world in an absolute of there being good guys and bad guys; he uses this mindset to justify his more violent and dark actions by saying it was for the greater good. This mindset not only causes people to turn on him (arguably rightfully in some cases) but is later exploited by Dream himself to manipulate Sam after he gets locked inside of Pandora's Vault.
  • Canine Companion: Has a beloved dog called Fran, who's also one of the oldest pets on the server. Threatening her is a guaranteed way to get on Sam's bad side.
  • Chekhov's Gun:
    • While Techno already had quite a few fireworks, on the day of the Manburg festival, Sam provided him with sugar cane for Techno to create paper and therefore make even more fireworks.
    • Sam also showed Technoblade his secret base, complete with an elaborate piston door made out of slime and honey blocks. Two months later, Technoblade revealed to Tommy that he's used the very same technique for one of his secret vaults.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: Sam is close with the other members of the Badlands, Ant and Bad, as well as L'Manburgians Tommy and Tubbo, and he was roommates with SMP citizens Sapnap and George. Unfortunately, his ties to his alliance put him at odds with both L'Manberg and the SMP, which leads to him feeling conflicted.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: His time as prison warden has made Sam infinitely more ruthless.
    • While not as overt, Sam was an accomplice to Quackity brutally torturing Dream for information.
    • After Ponk stole some of Sam's keycards to the prison, Sam trapped him in a small, glass box and demanded the keycards back. Despite already having taken one of Ponk's canon lives, he dumped lava on him, splashed him with potions of poison, weakness and slowness, and after Ponk told him he'd rather die and roam the server as a ghost than see what Sam has become, Sam cut off his left arm, taking the remaining keycard by force.
  • Cuteness Proximity: After an incident involving Ranboo getting accidentally killed in the Holy Land and Karl stealing his items, Ranboo claimed that he would execute Quackity, who was being held hostage, if Karl didn't return the items. After chasing Quackity through a river (after he escaped), Sam, who was backing Ranboo up to maintain order, had this to say:
Sam: (affectionately) I can't kill him, he's way too cute.
  • Death Seeker: Implied. In the livestream where Sam is let out of the prison by Dream, he barely even shows any resistance towards him. Most glaringly, during their tour of the Vault, Sam could have easily taken armour and weapons from the guards' supplies to fight back against Dream, but he never did that, and was killed by Dream at the end of the lore stream with him practically barely protesting.
  • Defiant Stone Throw: Stealthily shot an arrow at Schlatt after getting fed up with how the president was acting, signifying the end of Sam's neutrality.
  • Didn't Think This Through: He followed through on his threat to kill Ranboo if Dream didn't return to prison despite Dream openly admitting he didn't care... right in front of Technoblade, who did, in fact, very much care.
  • Do Wrong, Right: Upon Quackity's visit to Pandora's Vault, Sam gives him the warden's netherite tools and a pair of shears in lieu of Quackity's diamond tools, knowing full well what Quackity intended to do to Dream to get the knowledge of resurrection out of him.
Sam: Now, Big Q, the tools you have are... they're whatever, but... if you're gonna do this, Big Q, do it right. (passes Quackity a pair of shears) You can use these. (passes Quackity his netherite sword and axe)
  • Foil: To Ponk. Sam is a cold and stern warden who upholds the rules of the prison and is willing to harshly punish those that violate the prison rules and protocol; Ponk is a emotional, eccentric prankster who was willing to side with the Eggpire to thrive on chaos away from harsh punishment, though the ultimate reason he chose to become corrupted fully was because he felt that Sam broke his heart.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: He is very skilled with redstone, as seen with all the contraptions he's made in the base he, George, and Sapnap reside in. One of his secret bases has bookshelf-moving pistons which allow the user to choose the level of enchantment they want on the enchanting table, which Hannah declared to be the coolest thing she had ever seen.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: As punishment for kidnapping Michael and killing Ranboo, Tubbo, Techno, and Eret decided to lock him up in Pandora's Vault — the very prison he guarded and trapped Techno and Ranboo in.
  • Hostage Situation: When Dream escaped from prison, Sam took Ranboo hostage. This backfired because Dream has zero attachment to Ranboo and shouted that he doesn't care, to which Sam responds by killing Ranboo as he said he would.
  • Humiliation Conga: In the "Saving Michael/Avenging Ranboo" livestream, Sam is pretty much subjected to this, especially since he's the one operating all the prison mechanisms (as the former Warden) to lock himself up in Pandora's Vault. It gets worse when his first visitor shows up... that being the previous occupant of the cell he was locked up in, who then proceeds to make the prison his base, just to rub salt in the wound.
  • Hypocrite: Sam strongly opposes the Eggpire while they take orders from the Crimson and are a physical manifestation of its corruption, yet he himself is the walking embodiment of the might and, as some would argue, brutality, of Pandora's Vault, as it became harder and harder to distinguish between Sam's personal morals and his morals as the prison's warden.
Ponk: Do you not see what the prison is doing to you, Sam? You have a problem with the Egg controlling people, but is the prison not controlling you?
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Sam tries to justify his murder of Ranboo and Techno's dog Apollo with this. Both Bad and Ant disagree with this while calling him out.
  • It's All My Fault: Sam had been trying to keep Tommy safe from Jack, Niki, the Eggpire, and anyone else who would do him harm, only for Tommy to die in the one place where Sam was supposed to have total control, at the hands of the man who's hurt him the most.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: His kidnapping of Michael and subsequent blackmailing and murder of Ranboo resulted in his friends banding together to avenge him by locking him up in the very prison he built.
  • Madness Mantra:
    • While imprisoned in Pandora's Vault, Sam repeatedly wrote "I am not an idiot" into one of the books in the main cell to try to convince himself that Dream's previous mocking of him and various other intrusive thoughts were untrue. Just one day into his imprisonment, he'd already written the sentence in the book enough times to fill three pages and then some.
    • As of his third imprisonment stream on 2 February 2022, he's switched to "I'm not the bad guy" while interspersed to reminders of who the bad guys really were — Dream, Technoblade, and Eret (the last one in spite of their relentless attempts to be The Atoner).
  • Make an Example of Them: This is stated outright to be the reason for Sam's first canon death.
Dream: You can walk out! You can walk right on out, I'll take you right on out, I'll take you through the portal [of the prison], it'll be fine... I didn't say I'd let you go without some scarring. You can walk outta there and be a walking, living example of not to fuck with me.
  • Mean Boss: Essentially this, both as the Warden of the prison and owner of his construction company. He believes that as the boss, he doesn't have to be nice to his employees and blames his workers (like Bad and Ant) for things that were either out of their control or mostly also his fault. It's telling that when it came to the bank, he was more concerned with the amount of work getting done than caring over Hannah's wings (which were a part of her) being destroyed in an accident. This behavior is something that has been called out by both his employees and other friends and has to lead to him having strained relationships.
  • Never My Fault:
    • He blames Ghostbur's death entirely on Tommy, when it probably wouldn't have happened if Sam hadn't prioritized screaming at Tommy for sneaking into the prison over rescuing Ghostbur or dealing with Dream.
    • After the prison break, he lays the blame entirely on BadBoyHalo and Antfrost, and while his accusations have merit (Bad not keeping tabs on the prisoners while Sam got help, and Ant not responding to a maximum-security alert), he also refuses to acknowledge any of his own faults in the escape (e.g. killing Apollo instead of chasing after the escapees, focusing on Dream to the exclusion of the prisoners as a whole, keeping the blueprints secret so Bad only knew a partial amount of the entire prison, etc.) security flaws in the prison itself (letting Quackity into Dream's cell after visiting hours, not having the alarm system reach all the way down, etc.) and his mismanagement of the prison as a warden (arresting Ranboo and not telling anyone, kidnapping his son to enforce compliance, and later on killing Ranboo to "show he's serious" after he had surrendered).
  • Only Sane Man: Sam is the only one in the Badlands faction who is afraid of the Crimson, and he and Sapnap are dead set on destroying it once Bad is out of the way. When Bad has enough of Sam's resilience against the Egg, he pretends to come back to his senses and pulls Sam into a hug before activating a lever that traps Sam with the Crimson.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • When Ponk pretended to kill Fran during Ponk's experiment and when Sapnap threatened her during the Second Pet War, Sam got noticeably quiet, and his voice became very low and flat. In a very sharp contrast to his usual chill demeanor, Sam would only speak in short sentences (mostly threats) and became much more violent. This is especially seen in Ponk's experiment, as he killed Ponk every time he got close to him, pretended to kill Ponk's beloved pet chicken, and later went as far as to plant TNT on top of one of Ponk's trees and allow HBomb to detonate it.
    • After Tommy was exiled, Sam sought him out to give him food and offer him a place to stay. Sam seemed genuinely sad, lamenting that he felt like the server was tearing itself apart. Dream killing Tommy in the prison under Sam's watch left him with a lot of guilt, and when he spoke with Ranboo the day after you can just hear the anguish in his voice for allowing that situation to happen in the first place.
    • Bad confronts Sam over his interference in their plans, specifically, to trap Tommy and Tubbo inside the Egg-room. Sam immediately takes a stand, with Puffy backing him up, and makes it very clear that, no matter what, he will NOT allow the Eggpire to get a hold of Tommy.
    • Sam relinquishing control of Pandora's Vault over to Dream is very shocking, given how seriously he took his job as Warden and how he's expressed to feel nothing but hatred towards Dream. It makes more sense, however, given that Sam had been locked away in his own prison, starved, and isolated with only Dream as company, who the whole time was either taunting Sam or trying to turn Sam's own ideologies against him.
  • Papa Wolf:
    • After Dream told him what he did to Tommy during exile, Sam became incredibly protective over both Tommy and Tubbo, and has made it his mission to ensure that they are safe and can recover from the sheer amount of trauma they've endured. He killed Jack Manifold when the latter tried to kill Tommy under the guise of a friendly spar, and when Bad told him they'd have to kill Tommy because the Egg dislikes him, Sam got angry, and told Bad that, no matter what, he would not allow the Eggpire to harm Tommy. Beyond that, when Bad told him that the Egg wants Tommy dead, Sam snapped at him, and firmly stated that Tommy was under his protection.
Sam: Look, I'm trying to express to you how important it is that TommyInnit's mental state does not degrade further than it already has!
    • Similarly, when Dream attempted to persuade Sam into lying to Quackity, Dream used his knowledge of the Revive Book and the fact that anyone, including Sam, could die on the server and only Dream could bring them back to do it. Sam does not budge. However, the only thing that did seem to persuade Sam over was the reminder regarding Tommy's death, and how Dream is technically the reason he is still alive today, as Sam almost immediately agrees to the deal after Dream reminds him.
  • Revenge Before Reason: In Season 4, by Sam's own admission, he confesses to why he allowed Quackity's blatant breach of protocol to the prison — and it's most likely entrenched in this, given what happened during the second "Las Nevadas" streamnote … though it is certainly made more understandable in the context of how despicable their target was (and still is).
Sam: (to Dream) What's real is– I was looking forward to every time Quackity would come, because I was excited that was the time he would come in here and he would get the revive-book from you and we could kill you off for the last time and be done with this. That was what I was excited for.
  • Serious Business: He completely abandons his warmth and friendliness when doing his warden work at the Prison, and is even shown to be extremely punitive with his prisoners, if Dream's a standard example.note
    • Woe betide to anyone who breaks into the prison or even tries to mess with it, as Ponk and Tommy find out the hard way.
      • When Ponk stole some keycards, Sam quickly disabled them and generated new ones, but still went out of his way to kidnap Ponk, trap him in a small room and mercilessly torture him with lava and potions until he gave the (now inert) keycards back. Ponk handed him back all but one, and when he refused to give the last one back, Sam chopped off his arm.
      • When Tommy got caught sneaking into the cell with Ghostbur to kill Dream, Sam went absolutely berserk, tearing into Tommy so hard he barely even noticed Dream taking Ghostbur hostage, and when said hostage died due to his own inaction, he placed the blame squarely on Tommy. The entire way out, Sam chewed Tommy out, yelling at him to shut up whenever he tries to get a word in, and repeatedly saying he should've killed Tommy on the spot. Before kicking Tommy out, he told him in no uncertain terms that if Tommy ever comes near the prison again, Sam will kill him, and then hunt down his ghost, until there's no remnant of Tommy left.
    • This comes back to haunt him when Sam's dedication the following the rules and procedures of the prison not only lead to Tommy being trapped with Dream but the boy's death as well. Later becomes defied when Quackity exploits Sam's lingering guilt over Tommy's suffering and death by Dream's hand to convince the warden to let Quackity enter Dream's cell with weapons. Sam even helps him by giving Quackity his netherite warden's tools (Quackity initially brought in diamond tools) and a pair of shears.
  • Skewed Priorities: Played for Drama. When he catches Tommy trying to break into the prison, Sam is so caught up in yelling at Tommy that he doesn't even notice that Dream has taken Ghostbur hostage until Dream literally starts shouting over him. Even then, Sam makes no attempt to save Ghostbur, not even bothering to tell Dream to back off, instead he immediately starts shifting the blame onto Tommy, despite Tommy's repeated pleas to send the platform over. He even interrupts Tommy's attempts to calm a near-hysterical Ghostbur down by screaming at them to stop counting to ten, just to yell at Tommy more. Even after Ghostbur's death, he continues to chew Tommy out, threaten him, blame him for what happened, and saying that he should've just killed him as soon as he spotted him.
  • Team Dad: Sam has a very warm and kind personality. He often looks out for his friends and goes out of his way to help them even if he's busy doing something else. He particularly seems to be quite protective of George, his old roommate, Quackity, who keeps on dying and losing all of his stuffnote , and later Tommy, especially after Dream tells him about what happened during the exilenote .
  • Tempting Fate: After being locked up in Pandora's Vault himself, Sam considered breaking through the prison wall, citing the fact that no one was going to check on him. Just minutes later, Dream showed up.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Arguably, as he has turned from the generous man who passes out pumpkin pie to people nearby during the Manburg era, to the stoic warden who wouldn't hesitate to use Cold-Blooded Torture on those who mess with the prison. It gets to the point where he threatens to murder Tommy and leave him Deader than Dead for breaking into the prison to kill Dream, and gets so wrapped up in berating him that he lets Dream kill Ghostbur. It all culminates in him murdering a surrendering Ranboo during the breakout. Ponk even points out this change in demeanor, and it is most likely that Sam's morals were starting to conflate with the prison's strict regulations, causing Sam to gradually become more corrupt in Season 3.
  • Too Clever by Half: Sam, as the Gadgeteer Genius of the server running Pandora's Vault, is more than deserving of his confidence inside the walls of the prison. Letting anything move through all the defenses while the prison's on lockdown from an attack would be foolish, and Dream has said before that he can't afford to kill Tommy. Unfortunately for Sam's ego, Dream and Tommy spending a week together has frayed their nerves to the last and Dream was already at the end of his rope when Sam informed them that they might have to spend another week together. That combined with Dream having memorized the contents of his necromancy-based Tome of Eldritch Lore finally causes Dream to snap and give a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to Tommy.
  • Trauma Button:
    • Sam is clearly shaken whenever other people mention the Egg or the Eggpire's plan to lure other people into the chamber.
    • He's also shown to be easily overwhelmed by loud commotion, especially people talking and yelling all at once. During Tommy's prison stream for example, he kept yelling for Tommy and Ghostbur to stop counting and to stop talking over each other. This is most likely a result of his trauma from the Egg and the Egg's many attempts to get in his head through constantly yelling in his mind.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Sam thinks of himself as this.
Sam: Well... I guess I've done– I mean, I don't think the things I've done were inherently bad, I was doing them for like, the greater good, so like, that makes them... you know, even if they seem... not good, they're not bad things, right?

    Foolish

Click here to see his Snowchester skin
Click here to see his standard skin
In-game name: FoolishG
Preferred name: Foolish
"I'm a peaceful man, Ponk. But... If I must defend myself... I can. Shall I show you?"

Foolish is the God of the Undying and the Ocean, who walks the mortal realm. He doesn't often involve himself in Snowchester's affairs, preferring to just sit and fish in the bay, though he's recently been commissioned by Ranboo and Tubbo to build them a mansion. Most of his time is spent at his "summer home", a massive temple styled after ancient Egypt, which is implied to have existed long before the start of the SMP.

Foolish is generally laid-back, and tries not to involve himself in any conflict. However, after the Eggpire started threatening him directly, Foolish decided he couldn't sit by anymore and is currently trying to figure out a way to destroy the Egg.

Foolish has two lives left. His first life was taken by the Eggpire during the Red Banquet. Following the completion of DreamXD's statue, he was granted limited lives by the God, thus making him physically immortal, albeit until they run out.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: His skin is (mostly) the same golden color as the Totem of Undying item in-game.
  • And I Must Scream: According to Foolish, the shark attached to the back of his head is a living shark that got stuck on him while he was swimming one day, presumably while underwent his Evolution. Considering Foolish is a Totem God, and the shark has been out of the water for a long time, it's not hard to come to the conclusion that the poor shark has been suffocating and being revived over and over again possibly for years.
  • Awakening the Sleeping Giant: Foolish is a rather kind and pacifistic individual who prefers to stay out of the server's greater conflicts. When the Statue of Ra was blown up by the Eggpire, Foolish proceeded to calmly threaten them to leave and when they refused, he struck them with a bolt of lightning to send them fleeing in a panic. The Eggpire literally provoked a living giant on the server.
  • Back from the Dead: During one of Ponk's streams, Foolish mentioned that he has the power to bring the dead back to life due to being a Totem God. His skeleton horses are also from him bringing normal horses back from the dead.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Foolish is a generally polite and chill person, but after the Blood Vines reach his home, he suits up in an unused set of Netherite and directly threatened the egg.
  • Bolt of Divine Retribution: He is capable of summoning lightning bolts as a God of the Ocean.
  • Build Like an Egyptian: His absurdly elaborate summer home is built in this style.
  • Butt-Monkey: Being a former God of Death isn't a deterrent on the SMP, considering how often he's harassed by cat maids, pushed into going along with unfair workloads by others, and becoming a trolling victim to Callahan of all people.
  • Companion Cube: Foolish has adopted a Totem of Undying as his son, named it Foolish Jr, and typically treats it as if it's an actual baby. It lives in Foolish's ender chest (or ender crib), surrounded by hay bales.
  • Cope by Creating: It is revealed that he uses building and construction to maintain a sense of control over his life, a much healthier coping mechanism than burning down and massacring villages like he did in his past.
  • Foil: To Dream. Both are powerful, influential members of the server, but the similarities end there. Dream is one of the server's founders, while Foolish is a more recent addition. Dream is responsible for the deaths and trauma of several children, Foolish is a loving father to his son, Foolish Jr. Dream develops a god complex after he learns he can successfully resurrect the dead, Foolish is an actual god of undeath. By the Banquet Aftermath arc, more foils can be seen in the L'Sandberg conflict with Foolish; both Dream and Foolish have had portions of their land claimed by outsiders who created their own rules and laws that were unfairly biased against others (banning all non-Europeans in the case of L'Manburg, and taxing the rightful owner of the land in L'Sandberg). Notably, the main difference between the two is that Foolish avoided violence at all costs, attempting to negotiate with BadBoyHalo, who created L'Sandberg, while Dream's first response was to declare war on L'Manburg.
  • Former Teen Rebel: Most would know Foolish as the kindly, pacifistic builder that he is now, but an investigation into his past would reveal that he used to be a Totem of Death who massacred villages and was a fearsome, A-class warrior.
  • Gem Tissue: Jack from "The Village That Went Mad" described him to have "eyes of em[e]rald", which makes sense, since he takes the form of an actual Totem of Undying from Minecraft.
  • Gentle Giant: Foolish is 23'3 (just over 7 meters) tall, currently the tallest person on the server, and is simultaneously one of the most easy-going and kind members of the server.
  • Had to Be Sharp: In Totem culture, young Totems at age 5 undergo Evolution to fuse with elements or animals, and for a Shark-Totem like Foolish to form, they are allegedly thrown into the ocean to sink or swim. It's also stated that it is normal for a Totem child to not survive their Evolution, which indicates that Foolish is likely one of the luckier ones. Combining this cultural sort of mentality with Foolish's own centuries-long life experience, it's no wonder he's an "A-class warrior".
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He can be a bit hot-headed at times, though it's implied it's a leftover from his days as a Totem of Death.
  • Happily Adopted: Foolish gets adopted by Puffy within an hour of arriving to the SMP, and they get along just fine. Foolish has also adopted children himself, two Totems of Undying named Foolish Jr and Finley.
  • Heel–Face Turn: It's been heavily implied he went through one prior to joining the SMP. He's made several comments about how his commitment to pacifism is recent, and he's seriously dangerous when angered. This is confirmed after the Red Banquet, where he turns down the Egg's temptations, saying that he once believed power came from a sword, but it only gave him violence, anger, and distrust, and now had other means to give himself control, namely building.
  • Infinite 1-Ups: Subverted. DreamXD granted him spare lives, but they do have a set limit... which Foolish learned only after losing a deal during a fight with Eryn, much to his chagrin.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Foolish has talked about Kinoko Kingdom with Quackity on multiple occasions, not knowing the complicated history Q had with the citizens of the country.
  • Ironic Fear: He used to be a deity of death and later one of undying, but after experiencing the loss of his first canon life, he comes to realize how much mortality scares him despite having already lived for so long.
  • Might Makes Right: He mentions that he used to hold this belief, but eventually abandoned it and now tries his best to be peaceful.
Foolish: Before, I was reckless and wild. I used to believe that wielding god-like powers and a sword gave me some kind of control, but it only led me down a path of... violence, anger, mistrust. I can't control the actions of the world through overwhelming power. It doesn't work. It just doesn't.
  • Mortality Phobia: It's been heavily implied that back when he was a Totem of Death and at the height of his power, Foolish was essentially immortal, but after becoming a Totem of Undying, he is now susceptible to death. Foolish learns this the hard way after sacrificing his life for Eret during the Red Banquet, and the revelation shakes him.
  • Mysterious Past: His origin story in the world of the SMP isn't known to many, though those that look into it would find that he might have been to blame for the atrocities committed during the Tales episode "The Village That Went Mad", among other things.
  • Mysterious Watcher: Although he was not an active participant in the event, both Fundy and himself were present watching over the prison escape in dark cloaks. It's unknown why they didn't intervene beyond helping kill the Withers Niki let loose.
  • Nice Guy: Foolish is almost aggressively kind and considerate to everyone else in the server.
  • Noodle Incident: His Mysterious Past primarily consists of these, ranging from taking down a Wither cult with Eret, to visiting "The Village That Went Mad" and likely causing said 'madness' with "statues", but not many details are given in particular to either of these incidences.
  • Old Friend: Played with. Eret, according to Foolish, is an old acquaintance and adventuring partner of his. Eret remembers none of this.
  • Only Sane Man: Often tends to play this to the more eccentric members of the server.
  • Passive-Aggressive Kombat: He prefers to get back at people using "mental warfare", e.g. killing Endermen nonchalantly and calling them "pests" in front of Ranboo (who is half-Enderman) for making him work under 'poor conditions' while building the mansion in Snowchester, asking Sam on a date while Ponk's online for an incident involving a pumpkin head, and using a Dream head to scare Tommy away from Las Nevadas and get Slime back after Tommy 'kidnapped' him.
  • Person of Mass Construction: Downplayed. Although Foolish's construction speed is not as fast compared to DreamXD's creative mode, he is one of the most talented and fastest large-scale builders in survival mode.
  • Physical God: He is a God of Totems and walks around among mortals, although he hasn't clarified if this is his true physical form or some sort of avatar.
  • Power Nullifier: He gets hit by one during the Red Banquet, completely shutting off his lightning abilities. He's so shocked by this that he barely puts up a fight as he's dragged onto the podium and executed.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Right before he strikes down the members of the Eggpire with a Bolt of Divine Retribution, he says this.
Foolish: Let me show you... right... now.
  • Precision F-Strike:
    • While Foolish is usually a very polite man, he delivers two of these while Quackity confronts him during the latter's May 22nd stream.
Foolish: You threw away my life for some kind of fucking sales pitch?
    • While exasperated that Quackity is "wasting" the copious amounts of fireworks for the grand opening, Foolish rushes back to Las Nevadas, only to find the entrance of the casino has been exploded in with smoke in the distance.
      Foolish: Oh... shit.
  • Puny Humans: He briefly lapses into this when the Eggpire destroys the Statue of Ra.
Foolish: You... You pests! You ants!
  • Really 700 Years Old: On his March 4th stream, Foolish claimed to "have been around for a long time". It is unknown how long this time period is, only that he does not predate the Egg.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: In a flashback to his past during Quackity's May 22nd stream, Foolish is seen to be a black totem with bright red eyes burning down a village with lava.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He used to have red eyes and was a dangerous warrior, though he has since calmed down a lot.
  • Resurrective Immortality: Thanks to DreamXD, he has managed to attain immortality and can freely resurrect whenever he's killed without the need of a Totem of Undying. However, it's not quite true immortality as he can only resurrect himself a certain number of times before he loses the ability, and after hitting that limit, XD informs Foolish he now owes the deity a debt of souls to make up for the amount of lives Foolish has used up.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: He has one in post-Eggpire BadBoyHalo, who loiters around and messes with Foolish's land, causing a sort-of prank war between the pair.
  • Shock and Awe: As the God of the Ocean, Foolish can summon bolts of lightning from the sky, even when there are no clouds in sight.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: Foolish finds himself in a rather delicate moral dilemma as a result of his dealings with DreamXD. XD has gifted Foolish extra lives; however, Foolish has used too many and is now in debt to the god. Foolish is tasked to repay that debt by giving souls back to XD, or else he will have to pay with his own life; but Foolish does not wish to bloody his hands, wishing to move on from his past as a Totem of Death.
  • Tranquil Fury: After the Eggpire destroys the Statue of Ra, he calmly confronts them, telling them to leave and never return. When the Eggpire refuses, he sends a Bolt of Divine Retribution down from the sky, screaming at them to leave until they finally run back to the portal.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Foolish doesn't like using violence to solve his problems unless he sees no other choice, and refuses to kill others. It's been made clear that this was far from the case in the past.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: Foolish is a very nice person, if you severely threaten him and his summer house, he can display his totem powers to unleash lightning from above. The Eggpire learns this the hard way after they blew up his Ra statue.
