Doofania/Danville

Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated

     King: Heinz Doofenshmirtz

Heinz Doofenshmirtz

The CEO of Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated and "Dictator of Doofania".
  • Absent-Minded Professor: Comes as this to most people, as his shenanigans in DEI make him look a bit loony -and Doof probably is that. However, he can also prove himself to be a more formidable foe than people think.
  • Comes Great Responsibility: Much to his chagrin Doofenshmirtz comes to realize that since he now controls the Tri-State area he actually has to be responsible for actually running it and can't just randomly engage in any Zany Scheme that catches his fancy especially since if it blows up in his face he is also the one in charge of cleaning it up now.
  • Evil Overlord: Deconstructed. While Doofensmirtz always desired to rule the Tri-State area now that he actually does he realizes he has no idea what it actually means to rule and the responsibility that comes with it.
  • Friendless Background: With his background as an outcast, Heinz can be quick to latch onto others.
  • Harmless Villain: He's become a different brand than in his home-series. Doof's success rate has greatly increased but his plans and schemes are either personal projects to make DEI more powerful or end up helping people and saving lives, and if his henchmen do end up hurting people they tend to find themselves in very hot water. Russ even compares him to a benign tumor.
  • Mad Scientist: As in canon. He can make -Inators with wildly variable effects to do nearly anything.
  • Omnidisciplinary Scientist: Unlike most scientists in the Quest, Doof has no defined specialty. If you can attach the suffix "-Inator" to it, he can probably do something with it.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Over the course of the Quest, Doof has both gone through intense physical training and gotten his own suit of Power Armor, both of which have made him somewhat more formidable in combat than he used to be.
  • Trap Master: For all his myriad problems with the concept of deception, Doof's traps are true masterworks.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Doof isn't very good with his emotions, so he perceives things different than others do. It's telling that he seems nonchalant when he creates the Probabilinator, something that eclipses most of his canon repertoire and also nearly makes Xanatos drop his mask in shock.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Doof starts out thinking that he's still in an episodic absurdist comedy thinking that everything will be fine by the end of the day while he's now in a continuity-heavy dramedy with long-running plotlines and stakes, a good chunk of his Character Development is accepting this and growing as a leader.
  • You Have Failed Me: After destroying Danville through reckless mad science LOVEMUFFIN accuses Doof of not being properly evil anymore. Doof counters by letting them know that they've failed him for the last time and throws them all in prison.

     Council members
A group of figures that Doof picked to help administrate Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated. Although they can't participate in any actions themselves, these figures can add part of their stats and grant perks that help other Hero Units in their actions. These figures also can veto ideas, turning them impossible to do unless Doof negotiates with them.

Wile E. Coyote

A Toon Coyote with a penchant for trap-making; currently the Martial Counselor for DEI.

Goofy

A kindhearted toon dog who has been with the company since the start of the quest; he has risen from his previous jantorial position to become the Diplomacy Counselor for DEI.

  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Goofy despises Judge Doom, always being willing to back the use of violent action against him after joining the Council.
  • Kindhearted Simpleton: Goofy is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's a good guy, through, that wants no harm to most people. He's also eternally grateful that Doof took him as a worker during tough times.
  • Morality Pet: One half of his role on the Council. While the Council have varying degrees of morality, Goofy tends to shoot down almost any idea that strikes him as overly evil.
  • Nice Guy: Goofy is just a really decent guy all around, liked by just about everyone.
  • Simple-Minded Wisdom: The other half of his role on the Council. He tends to point out certain...Fundamental errors in Doof's plans using the power of basic common sense.
  • Starting Units: Besides Doof himself -and LOVEMUFFIN, if you really squint your eyes -he's the first hero that Doof has access to.
  • Toon Physics: One of the original toons.

Janus Lee

Formerly in charge of a a business that was bought out by DEI, Janus now holds a position as Stewardship Counselor (Chief Financial Officer) for DEI.
  • Being Human Sucks: Janus is eager to improve humanity.
  • Mad Scientist: He would perhaps bristle at the term, but it's hard to describe someone who creates genetic abominations like his as anything but.
  • Mask of Sanity: Janus, unlike most Mad Scientist sorts at DEI, is quite capable of masking his scientific insanity under calm reason, and often serves as a Straight Man on the Council...But some of his comments make it clear that he's actually just as, if not more, cheerfully amoral.
  • Villainous Friendship: Quickly bonds with Jumba over being mad geneticists who spit in the face of god, nature, and biology.

Mirage/Elizabeth Pena

A former member of Kronos Corporation and current Intrigue Counselor for DEI.
  • Arch-Enemy: Really does not like Syndrome.
  • The Atoner: Mirage was party to genocide, and will do anything in her power to make things right now.
  • Femme Fatale: She may want to atone for her past deeds, but make no mistake: Mirage will do anything to help achieve her goals or her employees.
  • Hyper Competent Side Kick: To Doofenshmirtz. To the point where Russ notes that if she turned in a two-week notice, DEI would collapse.
  • Number Two: To Doofenshmirtz again. When he freezes himself solid she ends up running DEI for two months.
  • Only Sane Man: Among the current council, and the company in general, Mirage is considered a bastion of normal perspective.

Ludivine von Drake

A duck scientist and current Learning Counselor for DEI. Also a female clone of Ludwig Von Drake.
  • Absent-Minded Professor: Her perk as a Hero Unit and as a Councillor revolves around that: she has the chance of doing one random Learning Action in a certain DC range from the original task instead of whatever she's sent to do. As a councillor, this translates in having the chance of doing one more Learning Action by only applying her bonuses. In story, there's also the fact she worked with FLUBBER, of all things - which people always rememeber, much to her annoyance.
  • Herr Doktor:
  • Insufferable Genius: Ludivine has a massive ego, and considers herself an expert on everything...But, with the highest Learning stat of any DEI unit, it's hard to dispute that she can back up her boasting.
  • Omnidisciplinary Scientist: Both in flavor and in practice: Unlike every other unit in DEI, she does not take a +5 crit-fail penalty when doing research outside her field, because her field is, well, everything.

Malfishmertz

The ghost of Heinz' magical ancestor who is tied to a castle that has been brought over from the old country; currently serves as the Occult Counselor for DEI.
  • Court Mage: This is how Malfishmertz refers to his current role.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Mal is a ghost from the Dark Ages who's spent all his time between death and working for DEI in Drusselstein . He's not exactly up with how anything works nowadays.
  • Foil: Mal's narrative role thus far is to serve as a sort of physical embodiment of how Doof was early-on in the Quest, and back in his home series, to contrast how much he's developed since.
  • Haunted Headquarters:

     Other Hero Units

Francis Monogram and NOWCA

Previously an enemy of Doofensmirtz, Francis now works for the Doctor as he was forced to swear a loyalty oath.

Norm Prime

Rebuilt to help support his creator, Norm has been undergoing growth and exploration.
  • Do Androids Dream?: Norm has been undergoing a long arc on whether he counts as a person and exploring the implications thereof.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Norm wants nothing more then to earn Doof's affection.

Genghis Khan

Brought back to life and made 300% of what he once was by mad science, Genghis Khan walks the Earth once more and is working for one of his descendants.
  • Empowered Badass Normal: He was already one of the most deadly warlords ever born, but radiation and genetic enhancements have made him EVEN STRONGER.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Khan has a lot of catch-up after his resurrection. However, when he does...world beware.
  • Radiation-Induced Superpowers: He was pumped full of radiation during the cloning process (hence the 300%), and it's made him even tougher then he was in life.

Agent Russ

Bob Russ is a Federal Agent and avid lover of toons, he was arranged as a liaison with the US Government.
  • Eagleland: Russ believes strongly in the ideals of America, even as the actual nation frequently fails to live up to them
  • Genre Savvy: His bread and butter: Russ knows more then just about anyone how to navigate the narrative conventions of Toons, and exploit them to his own benefit.
  • The Men in Black: Card-carrying member. He even has his own Cool Bike modeled after the Noisy Cricket from the Trope Namer movie(or, as is strongly implied, in this universe, the movie was modeled after IT).
  • The Mole: From the very beginning it has been known that Agent Russ is a federal agent who reports important information to the US government.
  • Nostalgia Filter: Russ's defining character trait is his nostalgia for the "good old days" of his youth, before this world of supervillains running roughshod over the country like they own the place.
  • Original Character: Russ is not from a pre-existing work.

Dennis the Duck

A toon duck who foiled an assassination attempt and was hired by DEI.
  • Fan Boy: Dennis is the president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, and only member of the Donald Duck Fan Club.
  • Supreme Chef: Dennis is very, VERY good at making sandwiches.
  • Toon Physics: Well, duh.

Janna Ordonia

A young woman who was left behind by her more supernaturally inclined friend, she jumped at the chance to escape her life stuck in the area overtaken by an enemy and has since started working to improve herself to keep up with them.

Dr. Jumba Jookiba

An alien scientist who has a great deal of interest in biology and is fond of Elis Presley's music.]
  • Bait-and-Switch: During his introduction, we're led to believe he has Stitch with him...only to reveal that said creation is Experiment 625 rather than 626.
  • Mad Scientist: And he's proud of it.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: The official story that DEI is giving is that Jumba is a Russian mutant... this is not helped by him often referencing not being human.
  • Villainous Friendship: Quickly bonds with Janus over being mad geneticists who spit in the face of god and biology with Janus becoming one of the few people he doesn't look down on.

Queen Lizzy

A supervillain who controls ants and had a big confrontation with her rival in Doofanian territory; was offered a chance to work for DEI instead of staying in jail.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Lizzy is rather prone to monotone quips, which does not improve her stunted social skills.
  • Friend to Bugs: Or ants, to be specific.
  • No Social Skills: As it pertains to actual people and not bugs, Lizzy is...Very, very unskilled. She's learning, but she's still far below par (with an effective Diplomacy of 0 on Quests).
  • Undying Loyalty: Janna was Lizzy's first friend, and she is quite protective of her.

Tobe and the Vagabond Ninja

A group of ninja lead by Tobe, whose rival has lost interest in continuing and now seeks tutelage and rivalry to improve himself.
  • The Power of Love: Through the power of love, Tobe was able to gain access to supernatural power.
  • The Rival: What Tobe wants most is a suitable rival to hone himself against... perhaps in time.
  • Tooka Levelin Badass: Tobe has been gradually improving in many different ways since joining DEI.

Phineas and Ferb

A pair of brothers who want to make the most of their time; due to their age, their employment is actually a summer internship.
  • Children Are Tender-Hearted:
  • Child Prodigy: As in their home series, Phineas and Ferb are capable of feats of invention and construction beyond all sound reason, accomplishing massive engineering projects in a single afternoon.
  • It Only Works Once: They refuse to repeat tasks, fitting with their life philosophy to keep trying new things.

Kitsune

A trickster spirit of mysterious background.
  • Conveniently Timed Attack from Behind: Not quite literal but in the Twelth Night, Kitsune comes out of stealth with a direct attack on Demona whcih released she had on allied forces.
  • Fantastic Foxes: As a fox spirit, Kitsune falls under this moniker. It is later revealed that Kitsune is actually a surviving fragment of Tamamo no Mae.
  • Just in Time: In the Twelfth Night quest Kitsune's arrival turned the tide by disarming Demona of her Doomsday Weaponjust as she's about to win likewise,
  • Mysterious Past: For most of the quest, it's very hard to tell what her deal is.
  • Original Character: Not from any pre-existing source.

Alan Bradley

Wendy Wower

A prodigy inventor hailing from San Fransokyo, and also star of quite a few educative videos. After having most of her research stolen by Trevor Tengrove, who proceeded to use her research to become one of the powers in that area, she's recruited by DEI to serve as one of their robotics specialist.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: In the midst of Norm's opera, she realizes what creates a truly sentient AI: treating them as humans.
  • Nice Girl: Wendy is a likeable person who gets along with just about everyone.
  • Womanchild: Downplayed. Wendy isn't naive, but she seems to approach almost everything with the same energy she displays hosting her kid's show.

Wasabi

  • Nervous Wreck: After things went wrong in Big Hero 6, Wasabi became incredibly worried about possible things going wrong.

Mezmerella

  • Hypnotic Eyes: Her specialty is using her equipment to hypnotize people in doing her bidding.
  • Large Ham: Oh good lord yes. Mez is a classic Super Villain, with all the cackling showboating flair that is to be expected.

Marrion Mosby

  • Interservice Rivalry: While DEI is not a government, Marrion has found himself in a rivalry with Tobe and the Vagabond Ninja of their treatment of his lobby.
  • Only Sane Man: Along with Max. Mosby is a fairly grounded man that has to deal with rather excentric personalities daily - then again, this isn't anything new to him.

Cruella de Vil

Driven out of France, Cruella has moved to greener pastures, having chosen DEI as an appropriate place due to hearing rumours that Edna Mode has some issue with them.
  • The Fashionista: It's Cruella - though this version is inspired by her movie version rather than the one from the animation.
  • Unknown Rival: While she views herself as a rival of Edna Mode in terms of fashion, it is clear that Edna does not take her anywhere near as seriously.

Kermit the Frog

Previously having been forced to be the spokes-muppet for Doc Hopper's fried frogs legs restaurant, Kermit is thankful that DEI's buyout of the franchise has allowed him to work on other projects. In his spare time, he looks to reunite the rest of the Muppets.
  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Kermit is a pretty chill figure most of the time. However, he despises Doc Hopper, to the point that selling it increases Kermit's opinion on Doof.

Quirky Miniboss Squad

The team-up of TECHNOR the Mechanical Man, Juniper Lee, and Gomez.

Tropes that apply to all of them:

Tropes applying to individual members:

Technor

  • Expy: He's blatantly based on Marvel Comics' Modok.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Inverted. While Technor is himself rather villainous, when on the clock as a therapist, he does things very professionally.

Gomez

Juniper

     Contractors

Marco Diaz

Also known as Cazador, Marco's hometown was taken over by Toffee so he left to become a mercenary and find his friend.
  • Sue Donym: "I am Cazador" is an anagram of Marco Diaz; he claims that he didn't notice this until he was already known by this name.

Tom Lucitor

Roddy Blair

Olivia Dickens

Martin Smarty

     Former Heroes

Vanessa Doofenshmirtz

The daughter of Heinz Doofenshmirtz who interned with his company for a time, she has now moved on to attend college in San Fransokyo.

L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N

An organization that Doof is part of. Once he became a King, it became his think tank. The group is made entirely of evil scientists. Doof is eventually forced to imprison the group once he leaves them do their own things and they end up causing a enormous mess.
  • Too Many Cooks Spoil the Soup: While each member is individually a skilled scientist, personality conflicts cause them to have a collective Learning stat of 14 (roughly on par with the average college student).

Hego

A former employee of Bueno Nacho and aspiring superhero. After a turbulent employment with DEI, Hego moved on to work at Olympia Co.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: After much, MUCH hardship (including taking the brunt of the Kataclysm event), that comes very close to shattering his spirit, Hego defeats Evelyn, saves the reputation of Supers and the lives of many, and finally transforms from Super-Zeroto full on Superman Substitute.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: Hego is very much an admirer of classical superheroism, with all the cheesy good guy quips that are to be expected...Too bad for him he's in a setting that's a lot more Dark Age then Silver. He gets better.

Max Goof

The son of Goofy who spent a time working a general position in DEI, after training with Agent Russ to understand his nature as a toon better, Max has taken on a new lobby-based role where he helps find order in the chaotic environment.
  • Only Sane Man: His main thing after he finally finishes training with Agent Russ. His perk allows him to invert the odds of criticals happening - in short, he makes sure that a failure will not be as severe as it could, and increases the odds of something going better than expected.
  • Toon Physics: He's a Toon, after all. However, for the longest time, he didn't know how to use those skills well, which led to him being taken under Russ wing to learn the ways of a toon.

Non DEI Characters

     Drakktech

Shego

The CEO of Drakktech.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Prior to the quest's start, Shego overthrew Drakken as the leader of the company and is now in charge.
  • Victory Is Boring: Shego has found running a corporation to be boring and enjoys times when she can let loose in combat again.

Dr Drakken

Formerly in charge of Drakktech, Drakken was demoted when Shego took over.
  • Demoted to Dragon: Once the Big Bad from Kim Possible and Shego's boss, he now serves as her second-in-command. Then again, you can argue that not much has changed in their overall dynamic.

Edna Mode

     Xanatos Enterprises
A conglomerate that has as headquarters the city of New York. Led by David Xanatos, it has lots of influence in many areas of the city -but especially concerning the mystical side.

David Xanatos

The CEO of Xanatos Enterprises.
  • False Friend: While he didn't actively put a lot of effort towards it, David was willing to take advantage of Heinz' belief that they had a closer emotional bond than was truthfully there.
  • Masquerade Enforcer: David has put effort into preventing the Masquerade being suddenly broken.
  • Xanatos Gambit: David is a man who makes many plans to lead to things going well.

Puck/Owen Burnett

  • Fairy Trickster: Puck is a classic trickster.
  • The Ageless: Puck is from a long-lived race, having specifically played a role with Kitsune's backstory centuries ago.

The Glooms

  • Those Two Guys: Or guy and girl, in this case. They accept Xanatos' offer of employeeship mainly to get back an important object for them.

     Kronos/Olympia
Previously known as Kronos Corporation, this business was re-branded after the fall of Syndrome. After losing another King, Olympia is now in the unusual position that it's power is currently split between two Kings, rather than one.

Syndrome/Buddy Pines

The original king of Kronos and a rival to Doof. However, after the Sands Gala, everything went wrong for him, leading to Sinatron overtaking his business and Kronos crumbling into the Olympia Corporation.
  • Butt-Monkey: Oh, and how. After the Sands Gala, things just kept going wrong for Buddy. Even if you don't consider what Doof's group did during that day, there's little doubt that something would go wrong - Doof only benefited the most from that particular endeavor.

Evelyn Deavor

Syndrome's sucessor, that takes over the old Kronos and rebrands it into Olympia. She has a great focus in superheroics. As it turns out, it's all part of a long ploy to destroy the superhero scene, that is frustrated by the combined efforts of DEI, Winston and Hego, along with Sinatron's helping hand, leading to Winston inheriting her position.

Winston Deavor

The brother of Olympia's previous King, Evelyn, Winston is a firm supporter of Supers
  • Authorityin Name Only: It was only through outside support that Winston was able to avoid Sinatron brushing him to the side.

Sinatron

A robot doppelganger of Frank Sinatra who was publicly revealed during Syndrome's Gala, and proceeded to rebel against his creator. Currently, he's one of the two leaderships in the Corporation, along with Winston.
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Was not willing to work for Syndrome.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Much like his his real counterpart, he's a shady guy, more then willing to rub shoulders with gangsters but, as Evelyn learns, he doesn't tolerate bigotry.
  • Original Character: Technically. There isn't anything in Disney's stories like Sinatron, but not only he acts like Frank Sinatra, but robot copies are also nothing new.
  • Robot Me: Did you read the description? Yeah.

Hego

The younger brother of Shego with a belief in heroism; he has learned much in the last few years to become closer to what a real hero is. Formerly a DEI employee.
  • The Hero's Idol: Hego has a great deal of respect for Mr Incredible, even having swapped out the the dark blue of his previous costume for a lighter shade more like that of his hero.

     Yokai Zaibatsu
Based in San Fransokyo, this group represents the joint interests of many businesses in the area; secretly ruled by a shadowy figure that puppeteers the other powers in the area.

Yokai

The shadow leader of the Zaibatsu, Yokai is unknown to the public but holds considerable sway of the the various members.
  • Shadow Dictator: Controls all of San Fronsokyo's big business from behind the scenes.

Liv Amara

Trevor Trengrove

  • Behind Every Great Man: He stole Wendy's revolutionary thesis on AI to build his company and the guilt is killing him.

Judy

     ENCOM

The Master Control Program

Ed Dillinger

     Cloverleaf Industries
Situated in Los Angeles, this company is led by terrifying Judge Doom, who, after taking ownership of Toon Town, demolished it and basically made them personas non gratas in his land. Besides his anti-Toon positioning, he's also known for his focus in machinery.

Judge Doom

  • Arch-Enemy: Competes with Kat as Doof's first serious Arch-Enemy. As a supporter of Toon rights Doom is Doofenshmirtz's ideological opposite in every way.

Bonkers Bobcat

Alonso Hawk

Doom's former spymaster. After being foiled time and time again by Doofania's forces, he was then mysteriously murdered. His death drives the plot of the mission "Who Framed Bonkers Bobcat?"
  • Killed Off for Real: Notable for being the single named character so far to have been killed on screen. On the hands of a king, no less!
  • You Have Failed Me: Alonso was constantly outmatched as a spy, which eventually led to Doom taking action and personally eliminating him.

     New Mewni Economic Investment Zone

Toffee

Demona

  • Near-Villain Victory: Almost reaches her goals during the Twelfth Night. However, Puck's quick thinking manages to foil her in the last second.

Chip Whistler

     Zootopia
A place where anthropomorfic animals that are not toons live. After a rather turbulent previous government, with an alarming increase of predators slaughtering other animals, Dawn Bellweather rose to put a stop to that, while also dealing with a surge of other problems that keep popping.

Dawn Bellweather

Woolter White

  • Expy: To Walter White. Not only their names are fairly similar, but they are also creators of rather powerful drugs that look for a better life by selling them to many.

     The Fearsome Five
A band of supervillains that, in the past, entered in constant conflict with Darkwing Duck. After the latter's demise, they, led by Negaduck, proceeded to cause such chaos that they were locked in St.Canard, but soon managed to get free and continue to cause chaos. They are led by Negaduck, Darkwing's Evil Doppelgänger.

Negaduck

  • Cardboard Prison: St. Carnard was turned into a condoned prison to hold Negaduck and a plethora of other villains. It didn't work and he easily caused a full jailbreak as soon as he got bored of being the city-jail's kingpin.
  • Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: So bad that viewing it in the astral plane causes Russ to briefly Go Mad from the Revelation.
  • Toon Physics: Applied to DEADLY effect, it makes him one of the best combatants yet seen in the Quest.
  • Practically Joker: Thanks to The Bad Guys Win nature of the setting, and him being a cruel murderer with a warped sense of humor Negaduck resembles this trope even more than he did in his home series.

Liquidator

Megavolt

Bushroot

Quackerjack

Bradley Uppercrust III

     Gal Fed

Gantu

  • Tranquil Fury: Whatever he saw in Monsters Inc caused him to get so mad his normal bombastic anger flipped around into being this.

Mira Nova

     The Federal Government

Director Riddle

Mr. Block

Dakota and Cavendish

     Other Notable People

Kat

A space invader that ended up as the new pet of the Flynn-Fetcher family after Agent P's demise. His actions led to the first crisis in Doofanian territory, the Kataclysm.
  • Ambiguous Situation: What happened to the Burtonburguer family that used to have Kat as their pet?
  • Arch-Enemy: Competes with Doom in being Doof's first serious Arch-Enemy given how he infiltrated DEI, caused an incredible amount of damage to Danville, and got away with it all handing Doof a complete and total defeat far beyond what Perry and OWCA ever did.
  • Bad Boss: Perfectly fine with murdering his own men.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: After his attempts to call his empire result in a devastating failure, leading to being dismissed out of service, Kat uses the remnants of his feline army to cover him as he escaped from Doofania. It's eventually revealed he became associated with a french supervillain, who took him under his wing.
  • The Sociopath: His idea of being 'merciful' to Phineas and Ferb is to spare them while killing Candice in front of them.

Fredzilla

Candace Flynn

Phineas and Ferb sister. After having her plans to mount a resistance against Doof foiled, she's now grounded for a long, long time. All while having to deal with more weird stuff in her daily life.

  • Cassandra Truth: She's correct that Kat is not a normal feline, but years of failed denounces on Phineas and Ferb's shenanigans, combined with her recent efforts to make a rebellion, make so that no one gives attention to her.

Kranz

Artemis Fowl
