Main Characters

    Kento Yuuki 

Voiced by: Yumiko Kobayashi

A fourth-grader who managed to escape the Magical Gate incident. However, while his friends successfully leave alongside him, Kento failed to save his younger brother Kaito in the process. Gladion contacted Kento to partner up with in destroying Deletloss, and rescue his brother as well as the trapped children.

    Aoi Arisugawa 

Voiced by: Shiho Kikuchi

A close friend of Kento who was also involved in the Magical Gate incident and managed to escaped. She was also present when Gladion contacts Kento to help him fight Deletloss, making her the first person to know their secret.

    Karon/Calon 

Voiced by:

A program sent by Gladion to assist Kento in the real world. It uses the robot of the same name Kento always have.

    Jean-Jacques Jacquard 

Voiced by:

Kento's online friend across the globe. They met up at the wrong time as the Magical Gate was hijacked, but at least he got to escape together with his friends. Upon learning that Kento was fighting for the trapped children, he wished to be able to help in some way...
  • Foil: To Kento. Both are two first heroic Webdivers who built their own G-Controllers, with Jean dropped his because Garyun resides in his laptop where as Kento succeed and always bring it whenever he goes. He's also a trained swordsman to Kento's Instant Expert.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: A blonde who later joins with the heroes.
  • Nice Guy: Even more much so than Kento.
  • The Stoic: Of keeping cheerful in whenever situation variety.

    Naoki Asaba

    Shou Kurachi 

Voiced by: Yuki Kaida

  • The Ace: He is shown to be very skillfull at everything.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Early on as Pegasion's Webdiver. Just like others. Eventually he gets freed.
  • Cool Big Bro: Pretty much every other main Webdivers considers him as this.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Played with. Deletloss brainwashed him to become Pegasion, and later Ditalion's Webdiver.
  • Foil: To Naoki. Both are brainwashed Webdivers who eventually got freed from Deletloss' brainwashing, and both poses as Kento and Gladion's most difficult threats. While Naoki blames himself and refuses to acknowledge Kento as friend and rival upon being freed, Shou knows very well that his villainous acts aren't his fault at all, as he knows that Deletloss brainwashed him.
  • Get A Hold Of Yourself Man: He did this to Ditalion by asking him to become his Web Knight partner. Ditalion eventually accepts.
  • Heroic BSoD: Averted. It is not him who suffered thim once freed from Deletloss' brainwashing, but his Web Knight Partner Ditalion.
  • The Mole: Initially seeming to break free himself, but until he gets truly freed, he's in direct control by Deletloss.
  • Sixth Ranger: He and Ditalion later joins Kento, Jean, and Naoki as the Webdivers.
  • Stock Shōnen Rival: Interestingly. While he's not Kento's direct rival, but pretty much of this trope fits him very well.
  • The Stoic: He takes everything pretty much level headedly. Including the fact that he and Ditalion being brainwashed and tried to defeat Kento and Gladion.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Pretty much blue to everyone's red.

    Kaito Yuuki 

Voiced by:

Kento's younger brother who ended up trapped inside the Magical Gate.
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: When he decides to partner with Wyverion.
  • Power Gives You Wings: When he and Wyverion entered Victory mode upon combining with Gladion.
  • Walking Spoiler : It is quite hard to talk about him without talking about His status being trapped inside Brainwashed! Ditalion's body and later joining his brother as a Webdiver.

World Link Administration Center

    Prof. Arisugawa 
The developer of the Magical Gate who also oversees the server. When Magical Gate gets hijacked trapping the children within, Prof. Arisugawa does what he can to save them. He is the grandfather of Aoi.

    Takedo Yuuki 
The leading Admin of the Magical Gate, securing it from virus attacks. He is the father of Kento and Kaito.

    Rena Kurachi 
A brilliant programmer. Sometime after more Web Knights are purged from Deletloss' control like Dragwon, she is recruited by Prof. Arisugawa to deal with the virus.

Web Knights

    Gladion 

Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita

A gladiator Web Knight who also takes a form of a locomotive train as his vehicle mode. When the others were under influence of Deletloss, he is the only Web Knight unaffected by the virus. As the result, he takes it upon himself to defeat Deletloss and bring the Magical Gate back to normal. To do so, he chooses Kento as a partner, believing that a human heart surpasses the limits of the Web Knight's programming.
  • Bishōnen Line : His final form upon merging with Kento is easily his humanoid form complete with wings.
  • Combining Mecha : He can combine with every Web Knights as power ups.
  • Cool Train: His vehicle mode is based on a locomotive train.
  • Expy :
    • Of Unit 01. Same purple main color tone with some green accents? Check. Have single horns protruding on helmet? Check. Have angelic theme running on them? Check. A mechanical form with human soul that fuels it inside? Check.
    • His role as a stoic, knightly leader of sentient mechanical/digital beings, taking form of a large public service vehicle, bring Optimus Prime to mind.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: When Granblade is selected, he seem to wield it alongside Grandshield.
  • The Leader: Of all Web Knights.
  • Power Gives You Wings: He combines with Wyverion to become Victory Gladion.
  • The Stoic: Rarely lost his temper. Something he learned when he lost his planet.
  • Was Once a Man: He was a man from a planet where the people has wings. However, when Deletloss invades, he lost pretty much of his planet and spent the rest of his life as a data before turned into a Web Knight.

    Jaguaron 

Voiced by:

A jaguar Web Knight who also takes a form of a sports car as his vehicle mode. When Websoldiers are no match for Gladion, Jaguaron boasts to be able to take him down easily. He can strike his opponent at high speed and shoot a spray of bullets.

    Sharkon 

Voiced by:

A shark Web Knight who also takes a form of a hovercraft as his vehicle mode. An aquatic-based fighter, he specializes in underwater combat. With a pistol in each hand, he can shoot a stream of water.

    Griffion 

Voiced by:

A griffin Web Knight who also takes a form of a fighter jet as his vehicle mode. He is proud of attacking with his missiles for their special properties—they can move on their own to chase down their targets.

    Phoenixon 

Voiced by:

A phoenix Web Knight who also takes a form of a bullet train as his vehicle mode. Having observed the previous battles, the cunning bird managed to trick the heroes into wasting their energy before roasting them with his fire attacks.
  • Cool Train: His vehicle mode is modeled after Shinkansen, a train in Japan designed for high speed.
  • Dirty Coward: Hides pretty much most of the time and uses his Body Double to lure Kento and Gladion, and then shows up when they ran out of energy to finish them.
  • The Phoenix: His Fighter mode is based on the mythical fire-bird.
  • Playing with Fire: Attacks by unleashing waves of fire.

    Orthrion and Kerberion > Golemon 

Voiced by:

Orthrion and Kerberion are Web Knight twins with multi-headed dogs as their fighter mode and tanks as their vehicle mode, each having the best parameters among all Web Knights. Orthrion's fighter mode is two-headed, has a drill attached to its vehicle mode, and has the best defense. Kerberion's fighter mode is three-headed, his vehicle mode comes with a chainsaw and has the best offence. Together, they form Golemon, an ultimate fighter who can alternate between their two specialties.
  • Achilles' Heel: Has superior offensive and defense, but cannot have both at the same time. Therefore, to defeat him, Gladion strikes Golemon on offense mode.
  • Combining Mecha: Orthrion and Kerberion combine together to become Golemon.
  • Multiform Balance: Downplayed in that Golemon's form is reflect by whose face he's showing. He is pretty much a Stone Wall when Orthrion takes over, and a Glass Cannon when Kerberion takes over.

    Garyun 

Voiced by: Katsuyuki Konishi

A eastern dragon Web Knight who also takes a form of a galleon as his vehicle mode, also dressing as a pirate. A prideful fighter, he prefers battling his opponent head-on rather than using tricks to give himself an advantage, especially when it comes to fighting his rival and best friend Gladion. Because of his adamant behavior, Deletloss' control over him is imperfect.

    Dragwon 

Voiced by: Shinji Kawada

A western dragon Web Knight who also takes a form of a semi-trailer truck as his vehicle mode. He also has a station mode, transforming into a stationary turret that can summon asteroids. Specializes in combat in outer-space.

    Wyverion 

Voiced by:

A wyvern Web Knight who also takes a form of a propeller plane as his vehicle mode. He was cast away by Deletloss so no one could control him.

    Ligeron

    Titan > Ditalion 

Voiced by:

The last Web Knight, a self-proclaimed God of Time with the powers to boot, rules the Ditalion Sector. A massive, fantastical airship which transforms into a titanic robot. When transformed into airship mode, Ditalion's head separates, becoming a smaller robot called "Titan." With Ligeron and Pegasion both combined as gauntlets, Ditalion becomes "Ditalion Prime."
  • A God Am I: He self proclaims himself as The God Of Time.
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: His size upon brainwashed by Deletloss is approximately 3 times the size of Gladion.
  • David Versus Goliath: His battle against Gladion and the rest of the Web Knights.
  • Climax Boss: Is the final oppenent faced in order to restore Magical Gate and free the children.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: The final Webknight to be faced. His defeat marks the end of the first half of the anime.
  • Shout-Out: His self-proclaimed status as the "God of Time" and being a Web Knight based on Titans reminds us of Cronus.

Villains

    Deletloss a.k.a Ryuuto 

Voiced by:

The Big Bad, a mysterious computer virus that invades and takes over 99% of Magical Gate, trapping thousands of children while also corrupting twelve of the Web Knights into serving as his minions.
  • Bishōnen Line: Becomes a human-like being named Ryuuto
  • Digital Abomination: Took form of a computer virus, however...
  • Eldritch Abomination: A computer virus from other universe who can affect reality, assume human form, and creating new reality to trap the heroes inside. Played even straighter on his Datanoid form.
  • Expy:
    • As Ryuuto, it's of Kaworu Nagisa. Related to The Hero? Check. Humanoid manifestation of the Big Bad? Check. White spiky hair? Check.
    • As Deletloss, it's more of Bardiel. An Eldritch Abomination taking form of a virus computer, with its final form as a dark copy of the main robot.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Took form as a singular giant red eye in the Magical Gate.
