Main Characters
Cammy White
- Action Girl
- Continuity Nod: The group that Cammy comes in this game is still Delta Red as in SFII.
- Costume Evolution: Her look in this game comes back thanks to Street Fighter V (without the rollerskates, of course.)
- Evil Costume Switch: When you choose her, you can press up or down and you can select her Shadaloo's Doll costume from Street Fighter Alpha series.
- Leotard of Power
- Male Gaze: Her ass is shown in various of her official artworks.
- Ms. Fanservice: As in Street Fighter series.
- The Protagonist: Of the game, not just meta. In-Universe, she was designed as the leader of the Anti-Robot Special Force.
- Rollerblade Good
- Signature Move: Apart of the game namer, Cammy also has her Cannon Drill.
- Weapon Specialization: The rifle ZZ01 SNG.
- Zipperiffic
Charlie/Nash
- Costume Evolution: To the Alpha look, Charlie is added a black t-shirt, fingerless gloves and rollerskates like Cammy. Also, he wears glasses all the time contrasting to Alpha where he takes it off before the fight.
- Dub Name Change: As in his game series (Nash in Japan, Charlie in the rest of the world.)
- Rollerblade Good
- Signature Move: His Sommersault Shell and his super special is Sonic Break, the hyper version of his Sonic Boom in Alpha series.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Played straight in Street Fighter, here's subverted thanks to his black t-shirt.
- Weapon Specialization: Mars C. Carbine, a big rifle.
Arthur
- Adaptational Badass: Subverted. While he looks much taller and more imposing, his Solo ending shows it's still the same Arthur inside.
- Anachronism Stew: Arthur is a character that comes from Middle Ages, now piloting a missile-equipped Powered Armor.
- Arm Cannon: His gunlance is attached to his arm, so it counts as one.
- Badass Cape
- BFG: His gunlance.
- Bling-Bling-BANG!/Bling of War
- Hover Skates
- Knight in Shining Armor: Just like in his game series, but more as a big Powered Armor than just a knight armor.
- Mecha: Being a big robot armor with the small Arthur (just like in his origin series), it counts as this.
- Mighty Glacier: Of the game, the slow-but-strong character.
- Weapon Specialization: His gunlance GL Excalibur.
Shiba Shintaro
- Canon Foreigner: Despite only being indirectly connected to the Street Fighter series of fighting games, he was given a profile in the Street Fighter V character guide.
- Expy: Shiba is based on Siva character from Three Wonders.
- Hover Board: Shiba has an antigravitatory Cool Board that uses to move on the screen.
- Implausible Boarding Skills: Mostly because he was a former skateboard champion.
- Mon: He's followed by a supporting robot named Akabi, which can attack with flames spewed from its mouth.
- Only One Name: Mostly known as Shiba, his last name isn't usually shown.
- Original Generation: Made originally for this game along with Simone.
- Shout-Out:
- Shiba has some resemblances with Naruto Uzumaki, considerating Naruto manga started in 1999 and Cannon Spike was made in 2000, this could be possible.
- Also could be based on Horo-Horo from Shaman King which also has an avatar and the manga appeared a year before Naruto.
- His signature hair and headgear seem to be inspired for the male Low-Rank Ludroth Cap in Monster Hunter Tri.
- Weapon Specialization: The rifle L999-A3.
Simone
- Canon Foreigner: Despite only being indirectly connected to the Street Fighter series of fighting games, she was given a profile in the Street Fighter V character guide.
- Cyborg: A cyborg with superhuman strength, she works along with Arthur to complete her mission.
- Expy:
- Clearly based on Linn Kurosawa from Alien vs. Predator.
- At one point, early sketches look as though she had the head of Rouge.
- Katanas Are Just Better: Apart of her CAP MPV rifle, she has a katana that uses in some of her moves.
- Original Generation: Made originally for this game along with Shiba.
- Rollerblade Good
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: Not precisely a sweetie, but certainly has rose hair.
- Underboobs: Her Battle Ballgown barely covers all her chest. It would be Not Safe for Work if she doesn't wear a t-shirt below the ballgrown.
Mega Man/Rockman
- Arm Cannon: Obviously, his signature Mega Buster.
- Dub Name Change: As in his game series (Rockman in Japan, Mega Man in the rest of the world.)
- Hover Skates: One of the few media in which Mega Man uses this.
- No Plot? No Problem!: Mega Man has no particular story in the game.
- Ridiculously Human Robot
- Secret Character: In Dreamcast only, can be selected at left of Charlie.
- Signature Move: His charged Mega Buster and Tornado Hold appear as some of his moves in Cannon Spike.
Baby Bonnie Hood/Bulleta
- The Baby of the Bunch: The youngest of the characters in the game.
- The Berserker: As in Darkstalkers, seen mostly in her endings.
- BFG: Her super special are 2 bazookas that launch a lot of projectiles, a Continuity Nod to her hyper move in Darkstalkers (but without the giant lumberjacks.)
- Dub Name Change: As in her game series (Bulleta in Japan, B. B. Hood in the rest of the world.)
- Little Red Fighting Hood: In this game, especially seen in their cutscenes where she punches and kick her sidekick playing with the 2 players.
- Only in It for the Money: As seen in her endings, she usually ditches her partners to stay in the place and get the treasure.
- Scooter-Riding Mod
- Secret Character: In Dreamcast only, can be selected at right of Simone.
- Weapon Specialization: S32 Impact, an Uzi-like weapon as she uses in Darkstalkers. Also she uses one of her explosive apples as in DS series.
Main Antagonists
Balrog
- Adaptational Ugliness: The game introduces "Fallen Balrog", a version of Vega whose name goes unchanged from his original Japanese for some reason. He looks less like Vega and more like Marilyn Manson, with pale skin, dark hair, and leather clothes. What exactly caused Vega to look like this is unexplained.
- Dub Name Change: Subverted. His name in Japan is Balrog as in Street Fighter series, but this name is also known for US and Europe versions.
- Expy: Basically a redesign of Vega/Balrog from Street Fighter II.
- I Have Many Names: In the first time you met him, he's "Fallen Balrog", but the second (and definitive) one he's "Revenger Balrog."
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Balrog's look is clearly based on Marilyn Manson.
- Wolverine Claws: Just like the original, but in 2 hands and with blood covering them.
- You Don't Look Like You: Compared with his SF version.
Cat Lady Beauty
- The Beastmaster: She's accompanied by 2 wolves.
- BFG: She wields a rather large rifle.
- Catgirl: Only in the look, mostly because of her hair.
- Ears as Hair: Inverted, her hair has 2 points that look like cat ears.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: Her outfit has a plunging neckline that goes down to her navel.
- One-Winged Angel: After you defeat her for first time, she transforms into some bizarre cat/bat/beast thing that can shoot random bullets from her mouth.
- Sexy Cat Person: A hot cat-themed woman who turns into an actual cat.
Kabuki
- Expy: Of Doctor Robotnik/Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog series.
- Gatling Good: Kabuki has 2 gatling guns as Arm Cannons in his second appearance as "Revenger Kabuki."
- I Have Many Names: As Balrog, he appears first as Kabuki and later as "Revenger Kabuki."
Psychiccer Sting
- Handicapped Badass: He moves normally with a cane, but that won't stop him to kill you, especially with his clones.
