Okay, eliminated as much as I could from Fridge.Team Fortress 2, so it should be healthier now.

Speaking of natter in fridges, Portal may need some attention. I didn't have enough time to look through it all, but I bet there's some that needs to be sent to the incinerator, so to speak.

The Artistic License tropes in general appear to be natter magnets, with a collection of tropers rushing in to "justify" examples, add 'aversions', or just comment on existing examples. Artistic License – Nuclear Physics, for example, has walls of badly indented natter even in the description.

YMMV.Gravity Falls needs an axe take to it by somebody familiar with the show and its fandom.

I've tried with Doctor Who, but the nattering just keeps coming. A lot of it to do with shipping, so extra tiring.

[up][up][up] Scanning the first few entries, it looks more like badly indented but otherwise viable text.

I cleaned up Contractual Purity a bit, but someone more familiar with individual examples will have to do the rest.

While they are formal, mlsmithca has been writing Edit Reasons on ‘’a boatload’’ of Awesome Music pages that are very opinionated and natter-y. Their arguments may be valid, but they also make the person seem like they're just itching for a PM fight. For example:

  • Trope Codifier is frankly a bit too lofty a term to apply here. (from Awesome Music/Peanuts)
  • “"Its" and "it's" are NOT interchangeable. Please learn the difference between them.” (I’ve seen this comment on Sega Superstars, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Sonic the Hedgehog. It also feels at bit like rudeness, since they’re criticizing people’s English skills).

"Natter" means discussion in the trope examples. There's no rule against conversational edit reasons (and if you want to report an edit reason for some reason, it might be better to post in Ask The Tropers than here).

As for the comment about grammar, I think it's neither rude nor inappropriate. This wiki enforces correct English, and pointing out grammar errors is actually helpful.

There's some natter in the NightmareFuel.Pokemon Black And White page. Nothing too insane, but it's there nonetheless. Considering my editing experience, I don't know if I should tackle it myself.

Example:

Eelektross is pure Electric-type. Think you're fine if you have a Ground type Pokémon with you? Think again. Eelektross' ability is Levitate, which renders Ground-type moves useless. In other words, if you encounter one of these things, you're pretty much done for ◾ To quell your fears, just have a Golem. It's Rock/Ground, effectively making it able to use strong, Rock-element attacks like Stone Edge, and the fact that it has high powered moves such as Explosion to throw around. And since Eelektross evolves via Thunderstone, it is mercifully a rare creature. Eelektross also learns no Water-type moves, despite being based on a water-dwelling animal and most likely living in the water itself. ◾ Eelektross learns Grass Knot, Golem's death sentence. ◾ Just pack a Haxorus. Mold Breaker bypasses Levitate, meaning you can smack it extra-hard with Earthquake. It outspeeds Eelektross, so Dragon Claw isn't an issue.

EDIT: Actually, not only the Nightmare Fuel. All pages have some degree of natter.

Entries like that make me wish Nightmare Fuel didn't allow examples. That's objectively not even scary.

I'm not sure how comfortable I feel about posting this given that the last post was three months ago, but I feel like Redwall needs a bit of looking at. There's a fair bit of natter buildup there.

[up] You shouldn't worry too much about that. This is a dedicated project thread, so bringing it back from its slumber to bring attention to a problem page won't hurt things too much.

As for the page in question, I may look through and find some problem areas when I get the chance.

Edit: Okay, some of it was hacked away. There's also a ZCE issue, so I'll need to comment out a few of those.

Things That Go "Bump" in the Night could use some cleanup. It's not too bad, and I'd do it myself, except that I'm in the middle of cleaning up stuff I found while I was cleaning up stuff that I found while I was...well, you get the picture.

I think the Fandom Rivalry page could use some cleaning up, but I wanted to run that by everyone first because I'm still new to editing and don't want to go around cutting things that are actually acceptable. I'm seeing a lot of third-level bullets or really long lists of second-level bullets (no sure if that one is actually considered a problem.) There are also a lot of ZC Es or weblinks used as examples.
