This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

I put some guidelines for the thread up as the floating header.
Good suggestion; I'll make that change.

The latter point is bad: Nobody reads discussion pages. We can't rely on that.
Rather, I'd say "Make sure your example fulfills the good example criteria on How To Write An Example and that it's actually an example."
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've noticed that the site link in The Fanfiction Forum seems to be dead. Can it be changed to this?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAn addition to DmC: Devil May Cry, as a third second-level bullet under Mythology Gag:
- In one of the first small scenes, an explosion causes a white wig to land on Dante's head, making him look like the previous design of the character (which was used in all previous installments of the franchise). After a pause, he says "Not in a million years" and just shrugs the hairpiece off.
@4462 seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. Thanks for the reminder, I'll catch that this evening.
Five-Man Band needs Color-Coded for Your Convenience changed to Color-Coded Characters.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn the page "Double Standards", please move "Men Are Generic, Women Are Special" from "Sexist Against Men" to "Sexist Against Both". (Women experience it as "Men are normal, women are abnormal". I'll just let you all meditate on the irony that the title of the double standard itself privileges the male frame of reference.) It's one of my go-to examples of a double standard that does neither side any favors.
Memes.Bioware has a bullet point potholed to troll that comes off like natter. can it be removed?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAlso on that page, the note on the entry about HK-47 needs an instance of Heroic Sociopath changed to Heroic Comedic Sociopath.

"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenThe Monster.Jim Butcher page has been edited to meet the consensus of the forum dedicated to cleaning up the Complete Monster trope. May the page please be locked as it is in its currently approved state?

World Of Warcraft Review Calling the "Grats" to an award thing rude. Hey, if it's a new guy, he actually just did something that probably took some time, You say grats because it's Common freaking courtesy, Common courtesy being that if you got an achievement for winning a lottery you didn't freaking enter he gets grats for his minimal effort because that beats NO EFFORT. Did you camp out waiting for deathwing to come raze your face? NO! You got lucky and think it's more than someone getting to level 10 and unlocking specializations? Congratu-F***ing-Lations you have an elitism problem!
That's what I think, especially since he considered the "Stood in the fire" More than say "Level 10" or "done X quests" which both take effort. It's freaking insulting is what it is.
Monster.Artix Entertainment, Monster.Myst, Monster.Mario, Monster.Jak And Daxter and Monster.Breath Of Fire ought to be listed under Monster.Video Games, since they need to be indexed and are unfindable by the cleanup thread otherwise.
Monster.DCAU needs the boldfaced note removed - it's now policy that these things go into the page source.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanon American Political System Florida needs to be changed to Florida. Also when someone makes a Flo Rida page, we'll need to change the Florida page to a disambiguation page.
Keeper of The Celestial FlamePlease add the following to Inheritance Cycle:
- Unmanly Secret: Referenced in the thoughts of the Varden leader Nasuada in Inheritance when she thinks about how certain men within her army have revealed things about themselves to her that would be surprising given that their outward loves seemed to be only "wine, women, and war," such as a tendency to memorize romantic poems.
The Nobles from Goa Kingdom need to be removed from Monster. One Piece - as discussed in the cleanup thread (which has been moved to Perpetual Projects), they are a group and these don't count.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
Your changes to Feminist Frequency look good, thanks. Need to think of whether there are some more specifics I'd suggest. The fact that the page is now locked in itself helps a lot.
