It always feels weird to see Discord referred to as "social media". Unless we're going by very different definitions here, Discord is not what I'd associate with or call social media - it's a chat program like Skype and I don't ever remember seeing that being referred to as social media. For me, social media is more... a specific type of website?

Yeah, same. I always assumed that social media were sites were people just talk about themselves, and not made primarily for conversations. I would rather not think of Discord as social media since I use it (Discord) often and can't stand sites like Twitter.

And despite that, my parents say that jobs can just casually waltz into Discord servers and private chats to check on their employees.

Even though my profile picture and username both reference the movie Being There, I've never actually watched the movie.

This sums up my issue with the indie scene and why I stick to "tripull ayyy" games in general. Bar the odd gem, what's "hyped up" is usually there to fill a void left by corrupt corporations and nothing more. What is made might be great and do its job but nothing more and I find it lifeless because of that.

There is the odd gem but those take inspiration from multiple sources. "Tripull ayyy" studios are forced to reinvent the formula in order to stay relevant and survive. That said, it's rare especially with all of the corruption.

Other thoughts? Yahtzee can go choke on a bar of soap.

Confession time: I got into Halo with Halo 4.

Whenever I'm used to an animated character's voice, it always feels weird to watch footage of their voice actor doing their lines because it sounds like they're being dubbed over even though I know they're not.

I feel the same only if it’s a behind the scenes thing where it shows them saying the same lines ending up in the final cut. Recreations or new dialogue for interviews/fan events/etc don’t give me that same feeling.

Sometimes, when I go to the bathroom, if I’m 100 percent sure nobody’s looking, I pull my pants and underwear a couple feet before I get to the bathroom.

I thought preferring "tripull ayyy" over indie was an odd confession so I explained why while giving a video to improve my argument. That said, I shouldn't have put down Yahtzee at the end, I don't take it back but I will admit its not acceptable here.

I think I've gotten the most likes I ever have on a YouTube comment when I mentioned how The Wachowskis were trans on this video.

I wish people would stop putting Toht's melting face and that darn gory exploding head into videos that aren't about either movie they come from. They always jumpscare me and leave me shaken for a while afterwards (I can't stand looking at a single frame of Toht's melting face), not to mention leaving me paranoid about them showing up to me again in other videos. Does anyone else feel this way?

I’m a Puyo Puyo fan because of the characters and lore. I’m terrible at the game itself.

I feel similarly about Team Fortress 2. Shooter games aren't my cup of tea in general, but dang, I love the art style and characters.

Never played TF 2, but I saw many, many bizarre Gmod and SFM videos over the years. I miss the old era, and I really miss Kitty 0706 :(

I like to listen to music made for dancing, think like nightclub dance floor, without dancing to it. I dunno, I just enjoy the electronic music made for shaking your booty off to its beats

I am more interested in reading the analysis for games that I look up rather than actually playing the, I keep thinking about how in the future, I like to do my own analysis but I feel like I need to back to school so that I learn how to do literary game analysis properly.

I love it when the It's a Wonderful Plot trope is played completely straight and unironically. It’s just cathartic to see a character, after regretting their own existence, see that they have made a difference, however small it may be.

I don't watch My Little Pony anymore but I find the fanworks entertaining.
