After watching a bit of That Guy With The Glasses I decided to do a series of my own(text) countdowns, in this case 13, of the greatest powers. But I'm not sure which to use, and thats where you come in. I would like some suggestions please. If you would like to suggest something, please cite the power, user, and what its from. I've got some potential powers in mind already:

Rose Tyler's "Bad Wolf"(Doctor Who) Hyper Clock Up(Kamen Rider Kabuto) The Gaia Bookshelves(Kamen Rider W) Itachi's Mangenkyou Sharingan(Naruto) Jotaro Kujo's Star Platinum The World(Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)

Once you get to Reality Warper and Physical God status, it's pretty hard to tell who's more powerful than who.

I think we'd have to keep this down to mere mortals (definition of which can vary).

My nomination is Rand Al'thor from the Wheel Of Time series. It's hinted that if he gets stressed out enough, he can unmake all of reality by accident.

As can several dozens of characters across countless fiction works.

Really, once you hit Reality Warper or Physical God, comparison are moot.

The Force(Star Wars, numerous characters but most notably the Jedi and Sith orders)

Sorry, that's all I've got. If we have to get specific, Force Choke(Darth Vader) and Force Lightning(Darth Sidious).

I am a proud member of the Western Federation's Anti-Japan Media Task Force. My work is very important.

The greatest power I've seen that's short of being a Physical God is found in Graceling. The main character initially seems to be an incredibly good killer, but it turns out she actually has a supernatural talent for surviving situations that should be lethal. She's a very good fighter (though only in self-defense), she has superhuman endurance, if she's about to freeze to death she can light a fire with wet wood . . . For comparison, the villain has contagious Mind Control. He tells people something, and they believe it. If they tell it to someone else, that other person will be forced to believe it as well. He can control his entire country that way. By the time the protagonist's capabilities become fully apparent, the fight actually favors her.

That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something Awful

This discussion is more interesting if you limit in to specific genres or even specific works.

Shōnen series primary Big Bads in order of power (series I'm familiar with only) (to be edited):

  • Sosuke Aizen (Bleach): Probably the strongest. Master of Illusion (limited to characters he's released his Shikai in front of, which is most but not all of the good guys), Nigh-Invulnerability (can be harmed by really strong attacks, although he's become even harder to damage lately), extremely skilled swordsman, has some energy blast attacks too, Flight (but everyone in Bleach can do that), very agile, very intelligent, probably has another ability up his sleeve (bankai).
  • Meryem (Hunter X Hunter): A Flying Brick (though it's unclear if he's fast enough to qualify as Super-Speed). The only things shown to be capable of damaging him are himself, a sustained attack from the world's most powerful human Ki Attacks user, and a nuclear bomb (!). Even the last two together weren't quite enough to kill him. He can also heal himself (or even become more powerful) by eating other Ki Attacks users.
  • Madara Uchiha (Naruto): Super-Strength, mild Super-Speed, Teleportation, Intangibility (not automatic), Playing with Fire, presumably some illusions, can suck people into Another Dimension when touching them.
  • Dio Brando (Jojos Bizarre Adventure): Time Stands Still (for 7 seconds at a time), Invisible to Normals Fighting Spirit, difficult to kill except by exposure to UV rays and damage to Fighting Spirit, some other vampire abilities. Not limited by Mana.
  • Blackbeard (One Piece): A Power Nullifier (negates Devil Fruit abilities of anyone while he's touching them), can suck things towards himself and crush them with gravity, can cause earthquakes, can deal incredible damage with a punch. Like everyone else in One Piece, he's Made of Iron. Unlike most of these entries, his powers aren't limited by Mana.
  • Zeref (Fairy Tail): Most of his powers are unknown, but he has Demon Summoning and probably some other Dark Is Edgy abilities.
  • Father (post-Bishōnen Line) (Full Metal Alchemist): Can create forcefields, instananeous Alchemy, Regeneration, Power Nullifier ability that itself gets nullified by the Big Good.
  • Amagai Miroku (Psyren): Probably the weakest. Has a lightning-like energy blast attack, some defensive abilities like everyone else in Psyren, and a healing ability that sacrifices people he's "planted" his power in beforehand.
  • Asura (Soul Eater): Yes, he's weaker than Miroku. Has Flight, some energy blast attacks, and what appears to be a mild form of Nigh-Invulnerability, as well as an effect that makes people around him less sane (sometimes causing hallucinations). Apparently immortal, but powerless when he's drained of blood. He's also a coward. About on par with the Big Good powerwise. In the anime, he dies when punched by someone with sufficient courage. Not limited by Mana.

^^ I don't know enough about Dragon Ball.

Edit: Added Father, but I'm not really sure where to put him, since Hohenheim was around to counteract most of his more broken abilities.

Edit 2:

...and yet post-spinach Popeye can punch them with ease.

Um, no. The only ones Popeye has a chance against are Asura and Miroku.

The greatest power in fiction is the person creating that fiction.

^technically, what you just described is a fictional author instead of a Real Life author.

So...

1.a fictional author knows that his creation will go on to exists in another reality i.e GOD.

2.Or a fictional author who created his own existence i.e GOD from itself.

3.A Real Life author who is Genre Savvy and knows he exists in fiction, therefore creates more fiction, to populate another reality. Therefore causing a chain of fictional universes to exists within the prior fictional universe, tracing all the way back to the original. If that starting point is somehow destroyed, then every link along the chain will also be broken. I.e me being a bit drunk right now.
