Because spoopiness, I’m doing a whole week of Calamity worms plus a random guest appearance from the Eater of Worlds.

Today features the Desert Scourge, aka dehydrated wormy boi. He’s the first boss, and apparently in Revengeance mode there are three of him. The only images I could find were fairly low-quality, so here’s his Calamity Paint sprite.

Hey, what's the name of that thing that's like a robot, but it's powered by magic and it disappears once whoever controlling it doesn't need it anymore?

A golem?

That's what I thought, but I'm not sure if they function on No Ontological Inertia.

I suppose I could just say they do for the purposes of the plot.

I've never heard of that either, but "golem" is the first word that comes to find when I think "robot powered by magic". I could be wrong.

The early arrival of day two, the Aquatic Scourge!

The first day worm’s significantly more hydrated relative, the Aquatic Scourge dwells in the Sulphurous Sea. The avatar is from the thumbnail of Dokuro’s video of “Outcast of the Sulphurous Seas”, which is why there’s a purple triangle in the top right. This one should be more fun to write lines for, given that it’s probably capable of coherent... whatever language these worms speak.

Day 3 will be the Eater of Worlds.
