Would anyone be shocked at me bringing up House of Anubis? Seriously, there was a time when it was just kind of a show I watched once, decent but fine. Then I rewatched it over the summer and became way more hooked on the characters and story, and from there I'd never stopped loving it (not even when I started to hate it lol, it's that kind of work, drives me absolutely mad but also changed my life)

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThere are a few works. Normally whenever I hear a lot about something being very good and enjoyable, I act very cautiously and often I try to avoid getting on the hype-train. One example for me was Steven Universe, which I had heard some positive buzz about for a while before actually watching it. Right before we were married, my wife got into the show, and she wanted to get me involved too. I liked what I saw from the get-go, because it was a charming mixture of Slice of Life and sorta-parodied superheroics, with the wrestling-episode being my favourite. My wife knows me well, so she showed me that episode first. Still, for the first dozen or so episodes I was still unsure about why the show had so much buzz around it. Then a fairly rapid succession of episodes made it clear that I had only scratched the surface of what the show is about, after which I fell in love with it.
Speaking of Steven Universe Amethyst, Amethyst so damn much.
And I am not even talking about the Kindergarten episode but rather her ABSOLUTE REFUSAL to make her feelings and pain Steven's problem, near the end of the original series. She went from "Meh" to "OMG she's the best." And her "Hold Up dude" in Steven Universe Future was so brave and again, assuming the possition of a loving adult Steven should trust.

i've had several instances, but Lemon Demon. i've known him for a couple of his songs (namely Two Trucks *cough*, Everybody Likes You, and later on, Touch-Tone Telephone), but never really got into the groove
guess what ends up happening to me sometime in 2021-2022? satanic fruit brainrot
i can't believe nor even fathom that he visited his friend! the audacity!Dave Filoni’s work on Star Wars. I went from pleased with how it adapted the “worst movies ever” to engrossed in his interpretations of the characters and lore.
Steven Universe. I first heard of the series through The Mysterious Mr. Enter's video "Top 20 Best Cartoon Theme Songs" and decided to check it out and thought it was pretty good. This was around the time "The Return/Jail Break" aired. After watching "Jail Break" my opinion went from "This show is pretty good" to "THIS SHOW IS AMAZING AND ONE OF THE BEST CARTOONS EVER AAAAH!"
Me with Deltarune when Chapter 2 came out.
HqamiliciousThis tends to happen with songs in general for me. I'll listen to something once, simply like it, then put it on again and again and again and again and
Welcome to Ideal's WorldAsian culture. Somehow, I went from just...feeling neutral about it to listening to music, eating the food and learning to speak Japanese. I've even watched more movies and TV shows featuring AAPI protagonists!

New theme music also a boxSame! I remember liking The Owl House when I first watched it back in early 2021, but it wasn't until a few months ago when I started watching it again when I re-realized how good of a show it really was.

Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Oh, also, Bowling for Soup. I enjoyed some of their music well enough as a kid but as I started to listen to more of their work, they quickly became one of my favorite bands. I just love how fun and unapologetically silly they are in most of their songs, like they don't take themselves too seriously
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI saw ads for The Fifth Element as a kid and thought it looked really cool, but didn't watch it until years later. I thought it was good, not great. I think I'd just hyped it up in my mind so much it was bound to be a disappointment, because now it's one of my favorite movies.
Both media AND characters, you dont have to pinpoint the exact moment it did, just that it did.
So many seasons and characters from Pretty Cure. All of these I liked but I never had to confidence to admit to myself I loved them. Smile Precure was loathed at the time and while I liked it I NEVER REALLY loved it until years later I realized it has a lot of things I want in my media diet.
Tropical Rouge and the entirety of its cast. This was really weird, even I myself didnt know just WHY I liked it at all. But then the show kept improving and the finale made me a fan for life. The entire cast really grew on me, especially Sango, Minori and Asuka. Most of the fandom thinks they are bland and underused but I was happy how they were written. S
