If you just want to cut a page, you can submit it to the Cut List here. You don't need to post in this thread for that.
As mentioned on the Cut List page itself, cutting is generally seen as a last resort. If it's a Work page for a valid work, we may ask if there have been other attempts to save it. If it's a subpage, we may want to confirm that examples are being moved, not lost entirely.
Cut requests that don't have a reason will be declined.
Posts here may cover the following topics:
- Mod or engineer posts confirming that a cut has been declined.
- Challenges to save something that's already on the Cut List but hasn't been cut yet.
- Queries about recovering or restoring a page that's already been cut.
- Queries about next steps for pages where a cut request was declined (e.g. due to very high inbounds).
- General Cut List policy questions.
You can see a list of recently cut articles here.

I'd like to cancel my cut for Br.Tropos De Heroi, please. I think I have a solution for Br.Herois.
Visit my wiki: (hero.fandom.com)I've declined the cut as requested.
I added Anime.Suicide Squad Isekai to the cutlist as it didn’t have a release month. It now does. July of this year. I need to have the cut canceled.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Declined as requested
We're not going to cut WarpThatAesop.Doctor Strange 2016 unless the content is being moved to another page.
Has it been moved to another page? As it's DarthWiki content, it generally seems to go on its own page, even if that page is relatively short.
These two have been declined:
They may justify a cut, but if you leave the cut reason blank they will be declined. Can you add an explanation and resubmit?
Yes, it has been moved to WarpThatAesop.Marvel Films.
Oh, these are left over from an ATT query I raised a while ago where a new troper created a bunch of pages listing characters from their own unpublished work, forgot to cutlist them until now. Apologies for missing out the cut reasons.

"The only thing which is certain, is that something will happen".Declined a bunch of cut requests by ~Bocchi The Rock on YMMV.Richard Matheson, YMMV.Springtime For Pluto, YMMV.The Simpsons S 26 E 21 Bull E and YMMV.The Real Ghostbusters S 2 E 60 Egons Ghost as IMO "fan myopia" is a little too confrontational to put in a cut reason that will be displayed on the cut page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThere's a bunch of character pages for which cuts were requested; please decline those, as they should be redirects.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAgreed, please decline them
Declined all of the following:
Though even if they had been cut, they could still be remade as redirects as they’re not in Main/.
Reposting from here:
The Useful Notes page for North America appears to have disappeared, with the cut reason saying "Ghost wick". Was this the result of a page move? If so, where was the page history moved to?
Taking a look at the history now...
Edit: Not sure what happened there, and I can't see anything to support the "ghost wick" in edit history, so restored it.

What term do you think would be more understandable/less confrontational as a good replacement for the phrase "fan myopia"?
Just put "no valid examples" as the reason.
Asking if I should bother submitting Creator. The Office Of Letters And Light to the cut list. As of 2013 this is no longer the name of the organization—it's now just National Novel Writing Month—and the only links to it are to the two events it runs, one of which is no longer done by them. I don't want to sub something that's still useful, but I'm not sure this is.
I know more about obscure 1990s Middle Grade Literature novels than most people.Last night, I submitted Characters.Henry Stickmin Series Henry Stickmin and Characters.Henry Stickmin Series Dmitri Johannes Petrov to the Cut List, as they were too small to warrant Character Specific Pages. However, they had 254 and 205 inbound links respectively; should they have been converted to redirects, or is that not enough to warrant such?
back lolNot enough to warrant. Seems they didn't gain much traffic if below 1K inbounds
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectHey, can someone cancel the cut request for Creator.Hasbro, I meant to cut YMMV.Hasbro, not the main page.
Declined as requested.
The OP for the Page move thread says the following:
Thus, I attempted to do just that with UsefulNotes.Hillary Clinton. Did I do something wrong?

I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)The pinned post here uses a link: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/cutlist.php?response_modal=submit&msg=Added+to+cut+list
That some leftover parameters. Can it be changed to just https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/cutlist.php or Cut List instead?
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
Ah, there wasn't, sorry. That's on me — I should've asked before Cut Listing it, in that case. Apologies for that! It won't happen again and was a slip of judgement on my part.
What would the best way to go about that be, then? On the work's discussion page, or a specific thread?
