Changed w/o discussion: Four Man Band

I don't have a replacement image to suggest, but I wanted to flag that I don't think going back to the Real Ghostbusters image is an option.

I flagged on the Is This An Example? thread that the RGB are not an example of Four-Man Band, they've been shoehorned into the trope, and on the IP forum here.

It wasn't resolved at the time, but perhaps this image change can give us the opportunity to address it now?

I'm not sure I'd classify Michelangelo as an "Only Sane Man" I'd associate him more with Beware the Silly Ones or some other trope when the comic relief can fight. I am not sure about TMNT 2012 but my classic view of Leo from TMNT 2003 and the 1980s show is of The Leader too not the Casanova Wannabe. So might be a shoehorn? Or at least the characters are wrongly linked IMO.

Never knew about this page before, but I have to ask: is this a real trope? It seems to have all the problems Five-Man Band had: ZCE, shoehorning, selecting four characters that fit the roles even when they are not a four-man team....

Any further discussion of Four-Man Band as a trope can be taken to this thread I just made.

I agree, the suggestions so far, including the current, are JAFAAC. There is little indication of which character is which apart from the caption telling us.

I mean, there are some cues, such as Johnny being near a woman and Ben looking sad in the mirror, but they're not that obvious.

Okay I am really confused as how it's "looks too much like talking heads" there's no dialog? Mind you I do find the whole "Talking Heads" thing in some of these image discussions confusing as I see people use it for different things as well as just shooting down suggestion that have dialog bubbles.

I picked the moments specifically too in order to fit the trope - Sue is being pragmatic, she's showing them the eviction notice they've just recieved, Reed is at a computer, Johnny is being rejected by a woman, and Ben is having a moment reflecting on his status as the butt-monkey/being stuck as The Thing.

However, I do agree I think this trope is a bit.... broken trope-wise. So yeah, it may be best to table the image discussion for a bit.

Well, it's not obvious that Sue is being "pragmatic" (she's just showing them a notice) and it's definitely not obvious that Johnny got rejected. The woman looks annoyed, sure, but it's not like Johnny is even speaking or looking at her.
