Note: Taking this thread to TRS was proposed by RamenChef, but there was no pre-written OP, so I wrote this myself. I'd appreciate if they could provide feedback.

Tri-County Area is not thriving at 14 wicks, two of which are redirects, two of which are maintenance-based Administrivia pages, and only two of which are for work pages.

I don't know what RamenChef had planned, but I'd rather cut because while there are more on-page examples than wicks, the ones that aren't ZCEs basically say "tri-county areas and tri-state areas exist" and nothing else.

agree with a cut. I don't think is tropeworthy and the few wicks means it won't be missed.

Cut. Always wondered what the point of this trope was?

Cut and Yard. I think the idea of a town/city on top of a border is valid, but should be expanded to cover other countries. Maybe as a contrast to Checkpoint Charlie?

[tup] Cut. I can see the conflict involving Jurisdiction Friction or overall tension in a border region being tropeworthy, but all the examples are just 'Tri-County Area' exists.

Sorry about not including an OP in the queue. Here's what I had drafted for it:

This trope feels like textbook People Sit on Chairs. Phineas and Ferb is the only example I can think of where the words "tri-state area" have any meaning at all, and that meaning is already covered by a different trope—Take Over the City.

With only 14 wicks, a wick check isn't necessary, but I did skim through them and found no actual examples in the wicks. Most of the on-page examples I checked were either "a work is set in a tri-county" or "someone said 'tri-state area'".

There might be a useful note in here somewhere, but right now I'm leaning more towards cutting.

The description mentions it's a "larger Everytown, America", so perhaps a redirect to there can be done if cutting is a problem (11902 inbounds).

11,900 inbounds(!?)

I guess a redirect to Everytown, America is better.

Let me make a tally from each of the three counties that make up the Tri-County Area:

County A voted in favour of Redirect.

County B voted in favour of Redirect.

County C voted in favour of Cut.

Since two of the three counties voted for Redirect, Redirect it is.

Kirby is awesome.
