Odd TV Tropes confessions

Every time I add an even slightly weird edit reason, I wonder if it'll end up in that "funny edit reasons" thread.

Sometimes I find a particular entry funny, but I don't tell anyone (like by posting in "entries that make you go lol") because I think they'll get removed if I do.

Same. I enjoy some of the website's less "professional" entries, as long as they're not offensive.

I don't mind less professionalism either, what does matter is if it breaks the rules via natter or something. There are ways to be funny without making an example invalid.

Whenever I edit a page I can't help but wonder if what I said even makes sense, or if someone'll delete it because they think what I said was wrong... or stupid

I'll often do this thing where I'm writing a post, and halfway through I decide "meh, forget it" and don't post anything.

I often feel like Fair for Its Day and Franchise Original Sin are used by people to either try and downplay a works problematic parts(in the formers case), or to try and say the the flaws in the original weren't bad in comparison to latter works (in the latters case).

Me too. I also do it on Discord, when I think "Do I really need to chime in on this conversation?" I don't always feel the need to get my thoughts out there.

Same, except my discarded posts either become keysmashing gibberish or end up with so many typos they're practically incoherent.

There was a short-term clean-up thread that I followed, not for any intent to partake, but to make sure I caught when the meltdown I figured was inevitable would happen.

IDK if this counts as inviting popcorning, but it was the Dakari-King Mycan or however it's spelled thread.

I tended to follow a lot of threads on the Projects forums on my early days (which, for reference, is late 2021), but only recently did I unfollow most of them because I got tired of seeing the same few people post in them over and over again.

lol then I'll just use this as a chance to remind everyone to please help out on the left side, we really need you, it wouldn't just be the "same few people" if more people cared about helping our constantly-on-fire little wiki lmao

My semi-related confession is that I was really shy at first to get into projects because I thought all the threads would have, like, dedicated communities and I didn't want to intrude. Then almost immediately I realized that only CM and MB worked like that. (This social awkwardness is the same reason I avoided Yack Fest for so long.)

In the forum game Assign a Voice Actor for the Above Avatar, I keep getting anime avatars. I don't know a lot of anime voice actors, so instead I just keep choosing voice actors from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Is this working?

That's one game I refuse to play since not only do I not know a lot of these characters, I also don't know many voice actors.

I mean, there's a decent amount of overlap between the current Sonic voice cast and the current anime voice acting community.

That’s really not that uncommon of a mistake to make. I know of at least 3 other users who give that impression.

To be honest... when I learned how to italicize word I thought you had to put the '' around every word so I put a lot more effort into writing things than I actually needed to

It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out you had to put {{ }} around links to works with One Word Titles.
