Cleanup Thread: MCU Character Pages

We aren't dealing with the comics. Are they treated as another personality in the MCU. Not yet. Let's wait until the end of She Hulk and decided then.

I was just adding some context. Anyways the Smart Hulk is considered a merge of Banner and the Hulk, so I would consider it a third distinct personality. Seeing She-Hulk ep. 1, Smart Hulk is kind of different from Banner. A little more smug, gets more jealous easier, stuff Banner isn't known for.

Again that is speculative at this point. Until we get confirmation one way or another, I say we just treat it like Banner. If She Hulk confirms it's a sperate one then we give Smart Hulk a folder but we are not going by speculation that it might be one with evidence that could point to multiple things.

Should MCU: The Hulk page be reformatted to look similar to that of MCU: Green Goblin and MCU: Moon Knight since he's a split personality like the latter two? Incredible Hulk: Bruce Banner who’s the source material for the character also has his page structured similarly.

I don't really see the need to myself. They're separated cleanly enough as it is and it would take more effort to undo that than it's really worth to me.

I’m willing to give it a shot. If this proposed re-structure is applied, it would be a lot easier to edit the page in the future because you don’t have to scroll down as much and if Smart Hulk is declared a third distinct personality, it’d be easier to add his folder.

Just to be safe, I'd really appreciate it if you Sandboxed it first, but sure, if you wanna give it a shot, I'm willing to hear it out

Aight here it is: MCU The Hulk. If there are some editing corrections needed apply it and if we decide to go through with the reformat we can copy and paste this sandbox to the original and delete the sandbox page.

Regardless, Recommend renaming Professor Hulk to Smart Hulk as that is what he is called in-universe.

I like the new layout. But agree with on changing Processor Hulk to Smart Hulk

Okay, I’m in favor of it, you’re in favor of it, that’s 2 people in favor of my proposed layout. I genuinely think this will make editing Hulk's page a lot easier and more in line with how other pages for MCU characters with split personalities are formatted. Anyone else in favor?

I'm down. My only suggestion is maybe making the Hulk images visible at start. Also Maybe expand on the intro to include the hulks characterization.

The MCU: Iron Man page is becoming too long because of the armors. Should we make a page for that because Spider-Man (PS4): Peter Parker also has a separate page for his suits?

I think we should index off his character tropes and leave the armours and variants on his page, since that's likely where the growth will be.

Well, MCU: Loki had more trope folders about himself than anyone in the MCU yet his variants weren’t the ones that were kept in his page but rather the tropes about him so the variants had their own page. I think we should only index his character tropes when he has enough tropes to compare to a page like Dragon Ball: Son Goku.

Before we do anything, let's go through the page for misuse. I'm 100% certain there's misuse in there and it wouldn't surprise me if there was enough to push him back under the limit

I’d like to propose changing the Survivor/Zombie labels on the character-specific pages of characters who have Earth-89521 counterparts. Since anyone can go from survivor to zombie (MCU: Captain America) and vice-versa (MCU: Ant-Man), maybe using a label that isn't easily changed would be better like Zombie Hunter Spider-Man's [insert character here] to be more consistent with the other variant folders who have the representative character of each episode as the label, or Zombie Apocalypse [insert character here]. I’m willing to go through all character-specific pages that have Earth-89521 counterparts for this.

I think something like that would be good. Maybe make a sandbox first though

Also, for a character that only appeared once, with a cameo nearly 20 years later, She-Hulk managed to push Abomination over 40K. Someone want to double check for misuse before I launch a sandbox?. I also think the page will only grow over the next couple of weeks. So probably should get it looked at.

I also have a question regarding The "The" Title Confusion. Should it be MCU Abomination or MCU The Abomination? There are a couple of pages that use "The" in the title, including MCU: The Hulk, MCU: The Punisher, MCU: The Mandarin, MCU: The Hand, MCU: The PRIDE, MCU: The Ravagers, MCU: The Kree, MCU: The Sovereign, MCU: The Skrulls, MCU: The Eternals, and MCU: The Lighthouse. Should the pages be changed to remove the "The"?

I was about to go here to talk about an Abomination page too. I think there are enough bytes on the MCU: Other Supervillains page that a separate page for Blonsky can be made. Plus make a folder about his zombie counterpart and add tropes like Secondary Color Nemesis because of how there are purple scales on his skin, Elite Zombie due to being a huge behemoth, and The Worf Effect because someone as powerful as him got infected to further exceed the 40k byte requirement.

I'm gonna be honest I didn't fully comprehend what you were suggesting until just now. I think a better solution would be to create a whole new page just for the Marvel Zombies universe, especially with a confirmed animated series serving as a sequel to the What If episode airing in 2024.

But if we want to go with a name change only the MCU wikia uses "Zombie Outbreak". So that could work.
