Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

Regarding Shiki Granbell and Ziggy pages how big is the OG page. If it is under 40,000 bytes I say merge them back otherwise I don't see much point.

I was the one who went with Bruce Wayne for TDKR, though this was before the Character-Specific Pages... page was created.
I don't have a problem with changing it into Batman if you think that's a better option. That said, with hyphens, I prefer using double in the namespace (—) rather than single (-). Even then, it's up to you what to go with.
Back on The Owl House - Emperor Belos, wow this page is a pain to go through. As someone who's not very knowledgeable about The Owl House and the fact that the edit section lags anytime I try to, well, edit, Belos would need the attention of at least some people who are willing to contribute to trimming down and condensing some or most of his paragraphs.

So I'm thinking of finalizing Fire Emblem Awakening Robin (which was 60,000+ bytes), which would put Fire Emblem Awakening: The Lords in a peculiar state since Lucina's folder is nearing 40,000 bytes (hence her sandbox page) and Chrom's doesn't have enough to get his own page. Would it be okay to liquidate the page, move Chrom to Fire Emblem Awakening: First Generation Males and Lucina to Fire Emblem Awakening: Second Generation?

Since she's not yet at 40K she should remain on the Lords page. I would keep her there with Chrom's folder not being enough to stand on its own either unless Lucina far surpasses the byte mark. Its completely fine for 40K characters to remain on pages with other characters, what we're looking for most I believe, is giving characters separate pages when their folders would otherwise become a burden to their parent page.

Anyway, here's my byte check:

- SCP Foundation SCP 076: 15,987 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 096: 8,961 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 106: 13,918 bytes.
- SCP Foundation: SCP-173: 7,733 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 507: 12,631 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 682: 33,116 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 914: 23,172 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 953: 12,674 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 999: 7,537 bytes.
- SCP Foundation SCP 1000: 8,321 bytes.
- SCP Foundation: SCP-1867: 10,981 bytes.
- SCP Foundation: SCP-4666: 11,696 bytes.
Overall, 682 is the closest to reaching the 40k byte requirement and still falls significantly under. I think some of them can be merged back, provided there's no too-long warning.
And I think what happened here was during the big reorganizing of the characters page (where a lot of SCPs were moved to the recap page), all the character pages got merged into one. SCP Foundation: SCPs is currently 217,529 bytes long, so there actually might be an issue merging them all back.
I think splitting the pages off by series might help matters, and then the character pages can be merged onto those pages.

I'm willing to swear that the SCPs were once divided up by a couple "hundred" at a time (so like 0-199 were all on one page, 200-399 on another, etc.) but looking through the relevant histories, I can't find anything backing this up. Would something like that work?

I think doing that again would be a good idea. We can try by every thousand (so, SCP 001-999, 1000-1999, etc), although there's only a single SCP to represent the 5000s, 6000s, and 7000s respectively. So, maybe keep those on the main page until there's more SCPs added for their series?

I've tackled Alcina Dimitrescu's page here, which will now be 34K bytes, so it needs to be merged back. Problem is, Characters.Resident Evil Village is 166K bytes at the moment. I've looked through it a bit and I think the solution is to split The Four Houses into a page (and merge Alcina back into that group).
As the page stands now, The Four Houses make up ~87K bytes of the page, leaving the original page at ~78K. I would clean up The Four Houses section first, so it's likely to be less than 87K, split the page into Resident Evil Village The Four Houses, and merge Alcina back with them. How does that sound?
E: Added archive link to preserve cleanup history.
As for the SCP character pages, I think sorting by groups of 1000 seems reasonable.

Your edits for Alcina all look good, as does your plan for merging her back! The only thing I'd say is just remove the "Village" from the Four Houses page title (so it would just be Resident Evil Four Houses) to keep it consistent with others - for instance, we've got Resident Evil Jack Baker, not Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Jack Baker, as precedent - but the other stuff looks like a great plan.
If you want to just merge Alcina back now and tackle the other moves later, I'd be happy to go through and clean up all the navboxes again like I did for Nemesis

I just noticed Vocaloid's Kagamine Len and Rin have their own page, which has been around since 2019.

Did a byte checker on it and it is only 5,233 bytes, which is far below the minimum byte standard. Should we go ahead and cut it? Especially since the folder for them over at Vocaloid - Crypton Future Media page only has 21,451 bytes and hasn't been moved over to it.

I wish to make some changes on the Greens and Blacks from House of the Dragon (specifically updating / adding characters from the other pages onto their specific factions, including their respective Councils), as well as the Cybermen character page from Doctor Who (specifically adding different sctions, i.e. "In Generl", "Variants", "Notable Leaders and Commanders" and "Allies and Servants").
Since this is somewhat of a big project for the character pages themselves, I'm wondering if I need or have permission to make these changes or not...?
