Character-Specific Pages (CSPs) are created when individual characters have so many trope examples that they can't reasonably be included on a shared page.
The Administrivia Character-Specific Pages policy details the rules that apply to these pages. All Character-Specific Pages must also follow the basic How to Create a Character Page policy, as well as the wiki's more general policies about spoilers and examples.
This cleanup thread handles the following tasks:
- Reviewing and approving new CSP proposals. All new potential CSPs must be reviewed and, if necessary, cleaned up before they're created.
- Agreeing on page names for new CSPs.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a new CSP is created.
- Reviewing existing CSPs if there's a concern that they need cleanup, or if it's believed that the character may no longer qualify for a page.
- Merging existing CSPs into other character pages when necessary.
- Ensuring that wicks are updated when a CSP is removed/merged.
- Creating, updating and cutting redirects, as necessary, to reflect these splits and merges.
Crowners are not normally required but, where appropriate, can be used to formalise decisions on any of these points.
If a character no longer qualifies for a CSP, it's often more practical to turn the CSP into a redirect than to cut the page entirely. This keeps the page history visible to users, and also helps to steer offsite 'inbound' traffic (search engine results) to the right place. With that in mind, cut requests for CSPs may be declined and referred to this thread if they don't have a clear consensus.
Comments linking back to this thread can be added to CSPs when needed - e.g. to confirm their creation was approved, to warn tropers that a cleanup is in progress, or to note the date and outcome of a more recent review.

Mod update 07 Mar 2024, reflecting new CSP policy, updated again 22 Mar 2024 to mention redirects for removed CSPs
- Other options must have been tried first, like splitting pages into further groups.
- The character's folder is cleaned up beforehand, fixing any Zero-Context Examples and Wall of Text entries and removing any outdated, misused, or non-character tropes.
- A character's folder is at least 6,000 words/40,000 characters (with spaces). Here is a byte counter.note
- The current character page bypasses technical limitations and requires a split up.
- A single character takes up the majority of a page or is disproportionately bigger than other folders.
Splitting a character into their own page is a major change and needs to be run by the community before it is enacted. Even if you believe a character meets these requirements, they should be run through this thread first. Having other tropers take a look can help spot issues you may not notice or believe to be issues.
Per How to Create a Character Page, character-specific pages should only include tropes that describe the character. These tropes should fall under Characterization Tropes or one of its related indexes, unless they're recurring character traits (distinctive things that the character does repeatedly). If you're unsure what counts as a character trope, you can ask the Are these Character Tropes? thread.
If you have concerns with a general character page, they have their own separate cleanup thread, as do the self-demonstrating character pages.

Back in March, I merged Arlecchino to Characters.Genshin Impact Harbingers because the total page length was 150k characters. More than a month later, it has had an impressive growth to 230k! Before doing anything else to Characters.Genshin Impact Harbingers, like turning Arlecchino into a CSP again, we should consider that the inmense hype for her may have caused problems of shoehorning, walls of text and Fan Myopia. Though I'd rather split the Fatui Harbingers in 6 and 6.
On that note Characters.Genshin Impact Fontaine and Characters.Genshin Impact Court Of Fontaine are both over the 250k limit, despite not displaying the too-long warning. I propose the following:
- Make a new page merging the characters from the Fortress of Meropide and Characters.Genshin Impact Wriothesley. It would be named Characters.Genshin Impact Fortress Of Meropide.
- Merge Neuvillette, Clorinde, Sedene and Vaughn. Don't know how would I name this new subpage for characters associated with the tribunal itself, but I'd still keep Furina's page separate.
What do you think? Paging ~Konoe Jerry as they first brought up this problem with Fontaine characters.
Okay, so I'm gonna have to run some detective work to analyze the byte count of the various factions (or characters) to determine which character (groups) should be a candidate for moving:
In Genshin Impact: Fontaine:
- "Oceanids": about 12,409 bytes (obviously not enough to warrant a page)
- "Melusines": about 10,116 bytes (ditto)
- "Fortress of Meropide": about 34,007 bytes
- "Spina di Rosula" (including Navia): about 62,546 bytes
- "Spina di Rosula" (without Navia): about 22,106 bytes
- Navia (solo): about 40,405 bytes
In Genshin Impact: Court of Fontaine:
- "The Courts": about 57,681 bytes
- The name that was given to the faction that Furina, Neuvillette, etc. belong to isn't actually their official name; the actual name of the place they're affiliated with is called the "Palais Mermonia"
- So if we are to move this character group, the page should be called Genshin Impact Palais Mermonia.
- However, Clorinde (and by extension the Champion Duelists subfaction) need to be left behind in the "Court of Fontaine" page, as the Champion Duelists don't actually live inside the Palais Mermonia or operate from there; rather, their headquarters are actually in one of the city districts.
- "Hotel Bouffes d'ete": about 96,473 bytes
- Given the spoiler heavy nature about the affilated characters' true identity, should the entire faction page (if they get one) be an Unmarked Spoiler?

Regarding the Genshin pages, I feel like the Fortress of Meropide should have its own page with Wriothesley's profile being moved there. Discounting the header, Wriothesley's page is around 47,504 bytes, and 34,007 + 47,504 = 81,511.
Hotel Bouffes d'ete should also have its own page where we could potentially move Arlechinno's profile there, as her profile is around 101,250 bytes, and 96,473 + 101,250 = 197,723. Doing so will help clean-up both the Court of Fontaine's page, and the Harbingers' page.

I also thought about Meropide because the introduction of Siegewinne in 4.7 will expand her folder and likely add new NPCs. And how can Arlecchino's folder get bigger than Tartaglia's in the span of a few months? That's fishy...

- Miraculous Ladybug: Heroes (94,324 characters/94,383 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Marinette Dupain-Cheng (86,297 characters/86,488 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Adrien Agreste (67,972/68,105 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug: Team Miraculous (184,677 characters/185,213 bytes)
- Miraculous Ladybug Felix Fathom (46,667 characters/46,782 bytes)
- We remerge Adrien into Miraculous Ladybug: Heroes and Keep Marinette's page.
- We merge Marinette, Adrien and the Paris' Champions Section into a new subpage. Doing this would leave the current heroes page at 68.869 characters/68.916 bytes.
- We merge both Marinette and Adrien back into the heroes page and wait until the page reaches the 250k requirement again to further discuss the page.

Someone has moved all the minor antagonists of Sword Art Online Abridged to the Characters.Sword Art Online Abridged Antagonists page, and now it's showing the Too Long warning at 247k bytes. Should I re-split Kayaba's page (70k bytes)?

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup thread
Welp, I just did a character count on the Mastermind of Final Fantasy XIV - Pandæmonium and their folder is worthy of a section of their own at 44,552 characters. Idk if it had been talked about before but bringing it up now.
For what it's worth, they are the only characters who appear in more than one movie.
Move both of them to the First Blood page?
