Suggestion > current
I like the suggestion better as well.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI think it's a lateral change. Any one of them is fine, although I'd prefer a lampshade hanging or parody.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.I prefer the current. The suggestion could just be a vending machine that was incidentally in the background of the shot, while the current, being animated, is obviously intentional product placement. The caption kind of requires familiarity with Code Geass to understand, but I don't think that's enough of an issue to pull the caption.

We already have Parody Product Placement though, so a straight example would be better.
EDIT: Why not just move the one in Live-Action Films?

Original the Signature. Do not steal.Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
I don't think multi-panel images are needed here. 8 is pretty good.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.8.
(Annoyed grunt)I like the current because the fact that it's animated implies intent. When you film in real life, it's inevitable that things from real life appear. When you draw something, everything that shows up is something you intentionally put there. It's why this example really stood out to me: https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/to-aru-majutsu-no-index/images/5/5e/Toaru_Kagaku_no_Railgun_E18_03m_22s.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100206045908
The collages are good for live action examples, but I don't think we need a change, aside from maybe a better caption.

The fact that the product appears so prominently also implies intent. There's a whole bunch of legalese that prevents branding being used willy-nilly; that's why we have tropes like Bland-Name Product and Product Displacement. Both are workarounds for naming/showing a brand that you don't have permission to use (using a stand-in and censoring, respectively). If something is shown as obviously as it is in 8, Product Placement happened behind the scenes.
(Also, but animated ads are rare, but do exist. So not every animated logo is automatically Product Placement)
I prefer 8, as there's some kinda plot happening (guy in sunglasses skulking around) which implies gratuitousness and it's got two brands (Pepsi and Coors).
You know, I'm wondering if the pic/caption combo on the Film subpage wouldn't be better on Parody Product Placement than the one we decided on...8 would be good for that subpage, then.
For me, seeing real life products tends to blend into the background because real life products are, well, real, so the difference between coincidence and intent isn't always obvious. I'm way more likely to notice Product Displacement or Bland-Name Product than Product Placement because they're innately unreal (which the trope description mentions). I thought a multi-image example was a decent compromise for live action because that makes it much easier to show a distinction between coincidence and intent.
That said, I'll admit that post 8 is pretty good, because that's not just someone who happens to be passing by a real store, but is a really over-the-top display that's really in your face.
Even still, I'm not sure a change is necessary. A Pizza Hut vehicle in an animated series is still pretty blatant to me, it just has a weak caption (perhaps something explaining that it's also an Alternate History series would be better, because the image doesn't need that to make sense, but it certainly makes it more blatant).

8 works per Synchronicity's explanation, but the current with a different caption could also be fine.
Keet cleanupCrowner's hooked; pay attention to the items as two actions are included.

Original the Signature. Do not steal. No consensus on a caption; locking up.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The image prominently features a scooter with the Pizza Hut logo, but it is so zoomed in on this scooter that it doesn't give any other context. The caption mentions a rebellion of some kind, but from this image I can't even tell if it's from a work or a commercial or a promo poster, so I don't think this is a good image.
Here's a better example◊.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
