Needs Help: Cool House

Cool House's examples are in very small "sub-tropes" which are (apparently) organized from least cool to coolest. Thing is, a lot of these "sub-tropes" have less than five visible examples, which ends up making the whole thing feel messy and unnecessarily segmented. I think that this trope doesn't need this many "sub-tropes" and could simply be merged together.

Opening under the assumption that this could be a quick fix.

I think we should just sort the works alphabetically with one folder per medium instead of soft-splitting due to subjective reasons.

Edit: Some of the folders are empty, and some examples are ZCEs with the "X is this" form of "this example is an example" Word Cruft.

Yeah, let's just remove the soft split.

Agree, because Tropes Are Flexible, and can be portrayed differently by works.

I never liked internal "soft-splits" within trope pages to begin with, so I'm good with removing it. Just sort the examples normally.

Support dropping the type labels. We recently did the same for Ominous Floating Castle at its TRS, and there was discussion about whether reorganizing type labels is nontrivial enough for the Trope Repair Shop in the first place.

I note that Stepford Smiler has an issue where it is inaccurately presented as Always Female. Fixing this won't require TRS, but this would involve dropping the soft-split in the examples.

I have also never liked soft splits, especially when half the categories only have two folders. I'm also voting to merge the example folders.

I agree with this. I've said before that I don't think soft-splits should require TRS since they don't change anything except the ordering of examples.

I suspect Colour-Coded Timestop is one of those four, too. Yeah, that sounds like a project type thingy.

I'd be fine with moving soft split removal to Projects to free up space on TRS.
