The Beavis and Butt-Head example focuses more on the aversions than the name itself (or rather an alternate spelling) being uncommon. The aversions are in different media, though. Does it still count even with the alternate spelling?
The page also lists "Thomas" as an example, which I highly doubt is true even in Western animation. But Googling "Thomas cartoon characters" did only give me examples from Thomas the Tank Engine so maybe it is true to some extent?
I'm also cutting all the MLP:FIM examples as none of them are common names in real life.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Need advice for the TLP
: we envisioned it for characters but should it also catch Market-Based Title examples?

I don't see anything wrong with including work titles. Perhaps the idea behind Tropes Are Flexible could apply to things that aren't tropes (like Trivia) in some situations, though I could be mistaken.

All wicks have been moved (aside from an archive page, which can't be changed), a note has been posted on the old discussion page, and the Main/ redirect was cutlisted. I think we're done for that page's wicks, but aside from the on-page stuff, does anything need to be done on TLP?
Edit: Also, I moved the Main.One Mario Rule and Main.Only One Mario redirects to JustForFun.One Mario Rule and JustForFun.Only One Mario as part of the namespace migration, but I changed the Main/ redirects to point to JustForFun.One Mario Limit for now (they were previously double redirects).

I removed much of the real life examples from the sandbox OP Es. The Literature folder downwards needs cleaning.

Bumping this for help. I'm slowly going through the on-page examples on the sandbox, but the description also needs a rewrite.
Bump. I just slashed and burned through much of the very fan myopic examples. The description seemed okay; I just rearranged some sentences for better flow and took out a largely irrelevant segue about Indiana Jones.
I would appreciate more eyes on the sandbox (especially for examples I missed or misjudged) but the bulk of the work is done.

I looked through it and it looked ok to me. All I had to do was slightly rewrite the grammar on one of the examples.

Removed. It was referring to obscure names — "Martha" is incredibly common, "Marth" less so.
Swapped in the sandbox and will be cutlisting shortly.

Actually, disambiguating One Mario Limit is something I'd like to suggest. Not everybody who came to the page is looking for JustForFun.One Mario Limit; some want the new Trivia argenfargle.

One Mario Limit does not seem to be an objective trope, and its on-page examples are full of Fan Myopia and natter. What should be done? Although the namespace/usage options are mutually exclusive, the scope items are not.
Bump. The Trivia draft is coming along nicely.
In the meantime, I cleaned out the anime on-page examples on the sandbox and moved examples that I don't think fit to a separate folder. Can others look it over and see if the deletion reasons are all right? In particular, how do the "one character per name" and "medium-specific" criteria intersect? Can these examples stay if we keep it to be about anime?
