This is a thread for checking up on pages for works that have not been released yet, to make sure that they are not straying into rampant speculation or posting crazy behind the scenes spoilers. You can bring both individual examples or entire pages to attention here.
In extreme cases, any page can be locked, but hopefully that won't be necessary.
(As these pages often are hit with zero-context examples and shoehorning as well, all four - speculation, spoilers, ZCEs, and shoehorning may get addressed simultaneously.)
The policy governing this effort is Creating A Work Page For An Unreleased Work. Cleanup is being tracked using the Unreleased Works sandbox.
All pages for unreleased works should include a %% comment at the top of the page, confirming the policy and linking to this thread and the Administrivia page. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as the example provided here, but this provides a template to work with.
%% Speculative troping is not allowed on TV Tropes.
%%
%% We trope what DOES happen in works, not what MIGHT happen or is LIKELY to happen.
%%
%% For unreleased works where all we have to go on is advertising and other supplemental materials, we have some detailed guidelines, which can be found at Administrivia/CreatingAWorkPageForAnUnreleasedWork.
%%
%% NOTE - these rules also mean that unreleased works should only have one page image, and that image should NOT be changed again until the work is released.
%%
%% If you have questions, please consult the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread at https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=15514631230A64268600
%%
%% Thank you.

A little while back, I asked if the Series. The Santa Clauses and Series.National Treasure Edge Of History shows should have their own pages or just be left to folders on Film. The Santa Clause and Film.National Treasure pages and no one got back to me. Because the film sequels are just folders on those pages too.
Is there another thread I should be going to with this question?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Okay so we may have one for the Cut List. Series.That90s Show. No trailers, no tropes. Did anyone send a stub notification yet? Actually, has it been reported yet?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I've just done a first pass through ComicBook.Dark Web, adding the usual note and deleting some tropes that seemed to be misused or made assumptions. Would be good to get a second opinion on what's left, though.

Policy question.
Suppose that a work releases advertising for a new feature or update that includes tropable material (eg, screenshots, trailers, and so on). Afterwards, for whatever reason, the material isn't included in the final work. Would this be acceptable material to include in a page, or not?
For specific reference, I was thinking about the Minecraft mob votes, where a few new creatures are given short advertising trailers before the players vote on which one gets included.
I'm thinking it would be moved to something like What Could Have Been after, but at the time, it's basically saying it's in the work, like with anything shown in a trailer. Sure, things change, but that doesn't mean they weren't valid when put into the trailer at the time. Only versions of a work, etc.
That's exactly the kind of situation the current policy is meant to accommodate. By disclaiming that you are troping the trailer, you are making the entry 'futureproof', protecting the entry against developments that would make the footage there obsolete.
Even if all the footage in a trailer is in the final product, there can still be tropes that are trailer-exclusive (eg. Moody Trailer Cover Song) that are fine on the main page as long as the writeup mentions that.

Okay, someone needs to do some policing on Film.Ant Man And The Wasp Quantumania. I can’t get in and there’s some uncited tropes already.
Never mind. I got in.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I'm looking at VideoGame.Coral Island - does a game being released in Early Access mean it's pre-release material or released?
It means it's released as an incomplete version to gather audience feedback to see what to work on. It's still a released work, just not everything the developers planned for is present.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupActually, regarding Quantumania, some people are using quotes and tropes from the comic con trailer that never got released to the general public. We wanna do away with that?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. So, while I'm creating a summary for the upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece, I have a quick question: do you think said summary should be added to Sandbox.Release Date Less Work Descriptions since we currently don't have a release date for it?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Just a heads up, there’s been a leak for the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special trailer.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. Some one created a page for Return To Silent Hill a couple of days ago. All there is is an announcement video with some concept art and an interview with the director, which I’m pretty sure doesn’t count. Also the article is a stub. No examples. Shall I cut it?
Same for That '90s Show. I asked about it a few days ago and never got an answer.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.
Yeah. That Return to Silent Hill page needs to chopped asap. Beyond the lack of tropes and any marketing materials, the whole thing is running on pure speculation.

I’ve added Film.Return To Silent Hill to the cut list. Now Series.That90s Show? Shall I do the same?
I just saw on the WebAnimation.Hazbin Hotel Twitter that they’re aiming for summer 2023 as their release. Should I put that on the future works sandbox?
Edited by BigBadShadow25 on Oct 27th 2022 at 12:10:43 PM
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Edit: Misunderstood the sandbox thing. Apologies. Just ignore this.
Edited by Tylerbear12 on Oct 27th 2022 at 12:09:31 PM
IDK, it's a sandbox so it's not really hurting anything I guess.
I did have to remove a work-page link to it, though.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness"sandbox page is a form of Loophole Abuse to get around the cut"
Except being linked like a work page, which is own bad thing, it wouldn't be loopholing anything. Sandboxes exist for under construction drafts, so it's working as intended.
Trivia.Sonic Prime should also be cut.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo durring D23, Disney put out a new version of “Can you picture that” from the Muppet Movie to promote Series. The Muppets Mayhem. Obviously not enough to warrant a page but just enough to warrant being moved to the Works with promotional material but no release date folder?

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.- Cerebus Syndrome: The game is confirmed to have a significantly more serious tone and story than other recent Sonic games.
So it's way more serious than Sonic 06 which has the main character of the franchise being outright killed onscreen?
Yeah, that is taking it a bit far. Even if it's a logical trope to use, assuming it had citing, it's too early to tell. This would need a rewrite. They might be intending to make it legitimately darker than anything before(which is pretty hard, especially with both 06 and Shadow existing, which are quite dark games, as super narmy as they get). However, both are pretty serious tones and story. Every single game just happens to get comedic pieces as well.
Yeah, that’s the kind of thing where Word of God can only count for intent, but the trope needs execution. I have seen interviews saying such, but that just takes me back to my first sentence.
SoundCloudI'll cut it since there are multiple issues.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI just made a page for Troll (2022), a Netflix movie scheduled for release soon, since a cinematic trailer and release date were released today (trailer here, released date December 1, 2022). I'm mentioning this here in case anyone wants to have a look over the page to make sure it's all in order.
As we are just discussing with Pokemon, uncited material being added to character sheets being widespread does not mean this practice follows the rules; it means we need to keep a closer eye on character sheets.
it’s easier to cite the dang Mystical White Hair example than try to overturn this rule, let me tell you now.
