Opening to fix the lack of examples; this looks more like a genre than an Useful Note though.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI took the liberty of removing several external links from the article. No points for guessing what they linked to, and the gag was overdone to the point of being annoying.
I don't believe this is a trope, a work, or a useful note.
Move to Just for Fun.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.I'd be fine with a Just for Fun move.
I don't see how it's a genre; it's the use of a single song and/or its music video as a Bait-and-Switch Internet prank. Examples would just be a list of people who Rickrolled other people, such as organizations putting it among videos on their websites as an April Fools' Day joke (I think YouTube did that one year).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. As an aside, Music.Never Gonna Give You Up could potentially be created if people want to trope the actual music video, because otherwise it would take up most of Rick Astley's page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. For move to Just for Fun. It's not really a trope, it's not really a work, it's a meme.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Could it add examples and parodies in works?
Keet cleanupThe only "work" that uses rickrolling as a trope is probably the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which we treat as a Useful Note.
Every other known example of "Never Gonna Give You Up" within a work is an example of the song, not the meme.

Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand! Are there really no works that use or reference Rickrolls? I know a Viral Marketing campaign for Dante's Inferno used it.
Keet cleanupxkcd has referenced it a few times.
- https://xkcd.com/389/ - Music notes are for Never Gonna Give You Up.
- https://xkcd.com/524/ - Hiring Rick Astley to go to a party, but not sing the song.
- https://xkcd.com/351/ - Rickrolling Rick Astley.
- https://xkcd.com/1981/ - Mentioned in discussion.
Ralph Breaks The Internet ended with a preview for Frozen 2 that was actually just Ralph rickrolling the audience.
Why make a separate page for that? Isn't that what example sections are for?
Keet cleanupBecause popular enough shout outs get turned into Stock Shout-Outs, and when they're even more popular, they're given specific trope pages, like Alice Allusion.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Can't a meme become a trope if used often enough?
Optimism is a duty.Yes, but I doubt rickrolling has been used enough as a trope. It would be better served as a Useful Note.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Even if we did make it a useful note, we could still list references to it on the same page, like with many other useful notes pages (such as works set in a place).
Keet cleanupUseful Note, and maybe a Referenced by... page.
The page as is concerns the meme, not the song. And the meme is not the song but how the song is used, and even then the trope involved is Bait-and-Switch.
While enough shout-outs can create a Stock Shout-Out, it's more appropriate to call this a stock meme, where a wholesome meme gained popularity and a wide enough audience liked the joke enough to spread it all over the place.
And a Referenced by... page sounds more applicable to the song itself rather than the meme.
Since we don't trope memes, and for the reasons I just mentioned (for it not being a trope), I'm in favor of movig it to Just for Fun.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI'm up for it.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
I believe this is just simply describing the Rickroll with no examples of in-universe parodies. Therefore, I suggest making it a Useful Note.
