I like Aku's original voice actor. Especially in the 48th episode of Samurai Jack.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakJeremy Irons as Scar. Good LORD. That smooth as silk British accent is just asdjkfhdjklfghd. He plays the Magnificent Bastard so well!
Also anything Reuben Langdon does, but especially Dante.
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fate/Samurai RemnantThere's a bunch of excellent performances in the Disney animated movie canon, aren't there? Besides the examples I stated, I'd like to give a shout-out to Mark Hamill's Joker. Whether in the animated series or the video games his performance always brings a smile to my face.
TV Tropes is my sacred text, and someday I shall use it to conquer the world!Mark Hamill is a very good narrator as well. I watched an documentary on the Taj Mahal with him narrating and the entire time I was like, Where have I heard this before? Before getting to the credits and seeing his name.
Matt Hill is another actor I like to hear, mostly because he gets really into getting the emotions accurately. When playing the weepy Kira Yamato in Gundam Seed, he had other people kick him in the balls so that he would be genuinely crying in anguish during those scenes.
I really like the voice acting in the Regular Show episode "Busted Cart". Sam Marin gives a surprisingly good performance as Benson, considering the fact that he started out as an animator.
She/they. Hirrus Clutumnus is my comfort characterThe English dub of The Cat Returns has EXCELLENT voice acting. I especially love Anne Hathaway as Haru and Cary Elwes as the Baron.
All the Miyazaki movies have great acting. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Aw yeah, I was weeping by the end of Spirited Away. Another example from me: Rami Malek did a fantastic job with Josh's sanity slippage in Until Dawn. It really made me feel bad for him.
TV Tropes is my sacred text, and someday I shall use it to conquer the world!Jay Ward as Wolf in Starlink: Battle for Atlas. That VA can make this woman's icy cold heart melt. That introduction for Wolf just felt so right.
Cosmic human watches over a certain Meme universe. The English cast of The Wonderful 101 does a fantastic job of capturing the campy superhero/sentai aesthetic the game has. It doesn't sound phoned in like Robot Alchemic Drive or deliberately silly, but sincere, and that sincerity I think goes a long way.
Let the listing begin!

This is all about raving about voice acting that we find amazing for whatever reason. Pretty simple. I just think a lot of the time voice actors aren't given enough credit, you know? Here's a few examples from me: 1. John Hurt as the Horned King from the Black Cauldron. Oh God, I don't know how he pulled that voice out but his performance singlehandedly saves the movie for me. So chilling. Eleanor Audrey as Maleficent and Tony Jay as Frollo are also amazing but I wanted to single out John Hurt. 2. I haven't seen all of End of Evangelion or the series, but Yuko Miyamura's screaming as Asuka is stabbed by the Lance is going to haunt my thoughts forever.
I'm sure I'll think of more examples later. How about you guys?
