Didn't we already have a Useful Note for the page?
Thus, voting for making it a setting trope. Anything not covered in the UN can be transferred there.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportMove existing examples to other tropes. Cut page. UN already exists, so no need to create it.
If we lack a setting trope, make a new one, so this doesn't share a name with the useful notes page.

That's another option. Maybe make a TLP draft to transplant the examples if we decide that.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWhat if we expanded Halloween Episode to non-serial works and moved all examples that show sufficient features there?
Halloween Episode already has examples from non-serial works. Cut.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Cut in favor of using Halloween Episode or Halloween Special for work-related examples and linking to UsefulNotes. All Hallows Eve for the holiday itself.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.^^ Yes, Halloween Episode has a section for non-serial works but it's not thriving. There are only two films cross-wicked. Compare this to the ca. 40 films linking to All Hallows Eve. Understandably, users hesitate to use Halloween Episode for non-serial works because of the narrow trope name. How about adding an alias like It Happened On Halloween?
I think It Happened On Halloween is a good trope name.
Do we have a trope for non-horror Halloween setting works? That seems like a separate trope.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyNeither Halloween Episode nor Halloween Special is horror-specific.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. There's probably a separate discussion to be had if Episodes tropes are eligible for for stand-alone works. E.g., nobody dared to mention films on Vacation Episode while Beach Episode has lots of them.
Tropes Are Flexible, but if there needs to be a discussion, it's probably more a matter for Trope Talk than TRS.
If it matters, the Episodes page's brief description only mentions TV show episodes and book chapters, but Halloween Episode's page contains examples from other types of works.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLet's cut this.
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"Crowner is at 2:0 in favour of the cut.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Let's see if we can get more votes. 6 total doesn't look like enough to call.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportBumping since the vote count has only gone up by three since Barrenta's post.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.11 votes total, with 10 yeas and 1 nay. Is it safe to call, or do we still need more?

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportMain/ wicks cleaned except for a ghost wick. I posted a notice on the discussion page and turned the page into a redirect to UsefulNotes. All Hallows Eve for now, since a lot of wicks to Main. All Hallows Eve would have been better suited to the former page. Inbounds should be caught by UsefulNotes. All Hallows Eve after this gets cut.
Edit: I put on-page examples on Sandbox. All Hallows Eve until off-page examples are taken care of, so on-page examples can be moved to Halloween Episode or Halloween Special (if applicable). Cutlisted sandbox because it's no longer needed.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Going to post a link to the Main/ page's wicks so we can sort through them and namespace/move as appropriate.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportStarting with Fanfic/ wicks:
- Skeletons? No, this holiday would never make sense.
- Fanfic. The Games Tent is a Zero-Context Example, though the page's description suggests Halloween is the date the story is set in.
There was previously discussion saying to use Halloween Episode for works taking place on Halloween, even if they're not episodic (Tropes Are Flexible).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
The page is written like a Useful Note. Examples are written as "work X takes place at Halloween". I believe the problem is due to the fact that we managed to single out horror examples into Horror Doesn't Settle for Simple Tuesday and shows into Halloween Episode / Halloween Special, but leaving other types of works unattended.
Question: Do we want to keep All Hallows Eve as a Settings trope for non-horror stand-alone works?
