An Eldritch Abomination who is the Bonus Boss of an RPG!
A Load-Bearing Boss that you have to figure out how to defeat without collapsing the entire room.
A mid game Mighty Glacier.
I used to plug my deviantart here but turns out the link was too long.A harmless tutorial boss.
Boss in a bullet hell type game.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaAn early-game Wakeup Call Boss who uses Beam Spam attacks that cover large areas of the battlefield and often moves away from the player for better range.
A mid-late game Boss, very powerful and fast in its attack but still fair. Biting or clawing are only its most basic attacks.
Fallout 2? More like Fallout 2 bad.A seemingly unwinnable boss that cannot even be damaged until you get an 11th-Hour Superpower in the middle of the fight, which allows you to actually fight on par with him.

"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"The final boss, an omnicidal maniac in his first form.
Depends on the game. If its a game with a powerful narrative, he is a Fighting Your Friend / Tragic Monster boss.
Otherwise, he is a simple Zero-Effort Boss zombie.
A regular boss who is fought multiple times, growing more difficult with each encounter.
"Punishment is not the answer. Punishment is easy. It's lazy. Redemption is hard. Redemption makes you work."-Skulduggery PleasantMid game boss. They're Dumb Muscle that works with the main villain. Probably fought multiple times and has a stone or metal theme going on with them.
Word's second most famous attorney with a bird-related name.A friend that was secretly the bad guy the whole time, manipulating you into toppling an ordinary only slightly evil dictatorship, only to take over and ruin everything. The signs were all there and the mission is avoidable, but most players side with him for their first playthrough. Magnificent Bastard to the max.
It took until the sequels for Star Wars to have a zero gravity scene.A boss fight that is a horde of enemies requiring that the player uses their items effiecntly and manage their stamina.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaSome kind of Puzzle Boss that you need to avoid the traps and turrets on the field, and then deliver a One-Hit Kill.

An Optional Boss that gives you a special item that is OP during the early game, but gets nerfed when you do a NG+
When you're not the father, It's a great big surprise. Thats-a-Maury.Part of a Quirky Miniboss Squad. Probably moves quickly and/or erratically while throwing things at the player.
A mid-game boss that moves around a lot and spams homing and area-of-effect magic. Turns Red halfway through and starts using mixing in the occasional attacks that cover most or all of the battlefield. While they are easy to defend against, they can throw a strategy off if one isn't prepared.
An early-game boss in a fantasy romp of some sort, an innocent creature that was corrupted by some sort of dark energy. Fast and tough, mostly fights by flying beyond your range and swooping down to lunge at you, but also very predictable and easily-beaten once you've got the pattern down. She(?) snaps out of it after you've beaten her, thanks you for getting rid of the corruption and shows up later in the game to destroy an obstacle that blocks your progress.
The final opponent in a segment in which you're dropped into a gladiator arena and forced to fight waves and waves of enemies. A very skilled warrior that defends against all attacks unless you can find an opening. Also gets much faster when you break off bits of his armour, and will call in support every now and then to harass you while he stands there grandstanding to the crowd. Once you've beaten him, you can finish him off in a grisly fashion to earn some extra money from the bloodthirsty crowd, or you can spare him, after which he befriends you.
Defeat Means Friendship seems to be a recurring thing whenever I post here. :V

"If you think like a child, you will do a child's work."A non-combat boss where the fight consists of three robot bosses with her in the background.
When you're not the father, It's a great big surprise. Thats-a-Maury.Kinda like Teleport Spam, except he's not teleporting, he's just jumping and climbing all over the boss room. If you're good, he's a Rush Boss. If not, he's a Marathon Boss, because he's so hard to hit!
tutorial boss fight in an adventure game.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaA Time Master that attacks with unpredictable attacks. These attacks are extremely difficult to dodge, as they may be sped up to a massive degree or delayed to strike at later point. May reverse time to heal injuries (though the boss is vulnerable to further attack during this process), or force you into a different position on the battlefield. If recruited upon defeat (done by choosing the correct pre-battle dialogue options, and/or showing the boss a specific item), they will prove a powerful ally.
If slain upon defeat, they drop the unique artefact "Flux Capacitator", which allows the player to reverse time temporarily to an earlier point and change their past actions (such as saving a boss you originally killed), though certain actions - mainly major plot divergence points - cannot be changed. The artefact will deplete itself of energy after three uses, and will become unusable afterwards. Attempting to use the artefact after this point will result in the text "Some things cannot be changed. You have changed all you can.".

"I swear, Colonel, I did not shoot at you because you called my sister slow. I would not miss if I did."The final commander boss of a GRIMDARK future Real Time Strategy video game, He uses every unit in his massive army to great effect and his units possess the most advanced enemy AI in the entire game.
Cornelius, but do not waste in useless pity the few moments left in which to escape from the hands of the enemy.
A boss of a stealth game that turns into a Third-Person Shooter near the end of the game.
When you're not the father, It's a great big surprise. Thats-a-Maury.
