Prob'ly not. When I exceed my boundary conditions, that's when they kill me. And finding your coins is outside my boundary conditions. I've died enough times today, thank you very much.

Oh, it’s a bit fuzzy for me by this point, but I recall it being quite uncomfortable. Of course, I imagine that anyone would be uncomfortable being frozen in crystal, standing on all fours unable to move until young Spyro saved you. Even throwing out my back while flying a few years back was less uncomfortable than being in the crystal. Ah, that was quite a story in of itself, but I’m rambling by now. Carry on.

Well, personally, I don't really mind. But when they claim that I'm just his shameless rip-off, I just roll my eyes and pretend I didn't hear that.

So my family unexpectedly adopted a hamster last week. We already improvised a cage out of a cardboard box, fed it regularly, and even bought a hamster wheel. What are other important things that we need to take care of?
I... wouldn't know. If there was an apocalypse in the past, it must have been a long time ago.
We do have to deal with Catastrophes on a regular basis, but they are rather small in scale and predictable enough to be avoided, so I assume that's not what you're thinking of.

That's a long-ass story, kid. You sure you got time? A'right, here goes. Used to be a cop on Ceres. Friends would've called me 'Joe' if I had any; ev'ryone else called me 'Miller'. One day, I got an off-the-books case to find a missing rich girl who got into deep with the OPA. At first, it was just a job, but the longer I spent on the case, the more I came to respect the gal. Julie was her name. She actually truly cared about us Belters; something I gave up years ago. But, turns out I only got the case, because my boss didn't really want Julie to be found. Stumbled onto some shit I wasn't supposed to, so I got fired. Luckily, my pal Semi gave me a lead on Julie, so I made my way to Eros, determined to finish my case. And I found her. But she was already dead. Poisoned by some alien blue shit that turns people into... well, we'll get to that. Turns out, Julie's dad was behind this big secret experiment involving the blue shit; they called it "protomolecule" and they wanted to use it on a large population. Julie was trying to stop them, which is how she ended up dead. And on Eros. with 100,000 Belters minding their own business. So, they took samples of protomolecule from Julie's corpse, then used them to infect every other Belter on the station. I was lucky though; got out with the help of some crazy kids flying around in a hijacked Martian gunship. Don't ask how they got their hands on that. Later, we took the fight back to Protogen, and I put down the mad scientist who murdered Julie and all of Eros. Holden wasn't happy about that. Oh, he's the captain of that gunship I mentioned. But it had to be done. And we also had to make sure to wipe out every last scrap of protomolecule, which meant knocking Eros into the Sun. First part of that plan that went sideways: I got stuck on Eros with a busted nuke; had to keep my hand out the timer to keep it from going off too early. Second part that went wrong: Eros dodged the multi-trillion credit battering ram we shot at it. Worse, Eros was making a beeline to Earth. Last thing we need is for 100,000 people worth of protomolecule infecting the cradle of humanity; but here I am, flea on a dog's ass, holding my pet nuke. Figure if I can get to the centre, maybe I can take out Eros from the inside. But when I get to the end, I find Julie; not alive, but not dead either. Somehow, she's become Eros; part of the protomolecule. And flying Eros home. So now, I gotta be the one to tell this poor kid that she can't go home, that billions of people are gonna die if she does. But to make it easier for her, I let myself be infected too. So that no matter what happened to us next, she wouldn't have to face it alone. And I got her to steer Eros into Venus... Only, that wasn't the end of it. I guess you could say that Joe Miller died that day, but his consciousness... his memories, his personality... his skills as a detective... that all got preserved by the protomolecule. He became the template it uses to create me. I am the Investigator. My job is to find things. And right now, I gotta find the ones who made the protomolecule, because it wants to report back, and they're not answering it's calls.

Haha, funny story. I have no idea, either. Never tried to measure it. But if it helps in some way, I can outrun a speeding truck convoy and a hovercraft on my max speed. Hmm, maybe I should install a speedometer on myself someday to check it out?

What's your maximum speed?
Martian Marine Corps-issued Goliath Mk III Power Armor. Equipped with 6.25mm autocannon built into the right arm capable of loading up to 1200 standard, AP, Hi-Ex and incendiary rounds and firing 12 rounds per second in burst or full-auto. Can also equipped with a magazine of up to 16 short-range, guided self-propelled rocket grenades, range 500 metres, stored in the back compartment and launched via the in-built smart-targeting system connected to the visor. Speaking of the visor, it's rated for micrometeorite impacts and small arms fire, as is the rest of the armour plating. Nothing short of Hi-Ex is gonna penetrate. Other features include omni-directional thrusters intended for reorientation and reaction control in microgravity (plus, in a pinch, they can be used as a Jet Pack when under 0.4g, or Martian-standard gravity) and magnetised boots and gauntlets for boarding actions on enemy vessels not under thrust. One Martian Marine in a G3 is a force to be reckoned with. We're usually deployed in squads of four, though.

How many atrocities have you commited?
These are hearing aids. While removable, they are mandatory for my hearing process. So even though they are not a part of my body, I'd rather prefer to keep them on.

Ah! I'm glad you asked. I am a holistic detective. I unravel mysteries using the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. Once hired, I am intrinsically connected to the specific case. I then will eventually solve the mystery...merely by just kind of doing whatever, really. Connections come to me and I just follow them where they take me.
