You could probably use one of them...with the explanation that a crazy duck sees themselves as the character...or inspired by the villain.
Whichever one is more original.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The actors who played these characters in the Show Within a Show, however, are real people In-Universe, so Jim Starling can find them and recruit them for creating a real-life Fearsome Five...
@KnownUnknown Regarding Taurus Bulba, I think it's most likely they'll have him start out as an independent villain, then F.O.W.L. will find him and turn him into the Steerminator - just like in the original show.
Even if that ever happens, we'll more likely get a play like BTAS' Baby Doll episode, with Negaduck kidnapping his old costars and forcing them to play along, when they're really just victims being taken hostage and need to rescued.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I can see an unhinged fan trying to become an actual Quackerjack.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).There's the scenario where the show Fearsome Four were legit supervillains who got blackmailed into working on Starling's show. With Negaduck finding them each and recruiting them.
With Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Chip 'n Dale coming back for this show, I have a feeling that Bill Farmer, Tress MacNeille, and Corey Burton will all reprise their respective roles. However, I'm wondering about other characters, like the rest of the Rescue Rangers. Will they get new Voice Actors for Gadget and Monterey Jack? Will Zipper be Suddenly Voiced? And what about if they include Max Goof into the series? Will they get Jason Marsden to reprise the role, or will they hire someone else?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Well, Marsden and Cummings have both been on the show before, and they usually only recast classic disney characters when there's an immediate reason like with the triplets or Scrooge. Chip, Dale, and Max should be fine, it's Gadget and Jack we'll have to worry about.
With the showrunners' love of Actor-Shared Background, I suspect that for Monterey Jack they'll try and hire an actual Australian actor.
I figured that. Who would they get for Gadget, though?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Who was Gadget in the original?
It's been a while so I don't remember, but considering the tone, I assume the original actress is dead.
One Strip! One Strip!Tress Mac Neille (voice actress of Gadget) is still alive actually
New theme music also a boxShe's also the one usually voicing Daisy Duck, right? (And will likely reprise her role in DuckTales)

The funny thing is the Phantom Blot actually appeared in an episode of the original DuckTales and it was one of the few episodes Donald made an appearance in. Basically, a undercover agent working for the Blot steals an experimental jet from the navy (hence why Donald is in the episode) that can turn invisible. I used to watch the episode all the time on video.

I will always remember that episode when the Blot called Doctor Doom a wimp and Vader as scary as a hood ornament. Funny how Disney owns both now.
Heh.
I highly doubt this version of the Blot (or any of this series' other villains) can make good on that threat.
How did the Blot know about Doctor Doom and Darth Vader? Do Marvel Comics and Star Wars exist within the Disney Ducks Universe?
Apparently full quote from original Ducktales was(I guess back in those days it was okay to name drop movie characters :P):
"Phantom Blot: Just do as you're told! And remember, I am the Phantom Blot! I make Darth Vader look about as scary as a hood ornament on a '53 Buick! Compared to me, Doctor Doom is a wimp, and Captain Hook is about as dangerous as a plastic coat hanger! BWA-HA-HA-HA! I'm mean! I'm MEAN! Know what I mean?"
Ah found the clip. Also geez the original Ducktales version of Phantom Blot has ridiculous voice

Found the clip too. Yeah, he didn't sound very menacing.
I find it really weird that they're name-dropping actual fictional characters rather than Expies / suspiciously similar substitutes, like they did, for example, with the monsters in "Ducky Horror Picture Show".
Also, I wonder whether the show will make the Phantom Blot an actual supernatural being (like in Epic Mickey), or will he just be a crook in a face-concealing black robe, like in the comics?

Crook with supernatural flare
New theme music also a boxI prefer "spy with an ink motif" than the game's "supernatural ink monster" concept, mostly because I think the latter is bland and cuts out most of what makes the Blot such a fun character anyway.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. It’s been so long since I played that game, but wasn’t the Blot from the game supposed to be a separate character from the original Phantom Blot anyway?

You know, If they'd really do a new DW show, there's the problem with his classic Rogues Gallery. Megavolt, Bushroot, Quackerjack and the Liquidator have all been shown to be characters on the original DW tv show. You could not use them, except if they all were a Refugee from TV Land.
You lost!
