Your Shameful Gaming Secrets

Despite playing and enjoying a lot of games, Up until relatively recently I've been a coward and played games on easy, and I've still been relatively shitty at them. That being said, I've started playing on normal for most games and I've been learning how to play properly much more effectively.

Oh, and I also cannot aim for shit against moving targets in most first person shooters, so even if I'm using something like a sniper rifle I have a bad habit of going to essentially point blank range if my target is moving around and capping them from there.

One of my favorite games to play on the computer as a little kid was my sisters' Barbie Fashion Designer game. 😅

I've been playing Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise again for the first time in ages. I know I have a guide to all the species lying around somewhere, and I feel almost lost without it, but it'd also feel cheap to use it. I haven't so far, though.

Despite being a huge fan of Persona 4, all possible ways to play it are out of my reach. The original is in the hundreds in terms of cost, and it's only on the US PlayStation Store and ONLY on PS3, Golden is a Vita exclusive which Atlus seemingly refuses to port to PS4, the Vita is also in the high hundreds, I can't get a PSTV for it because that's stupid fucking expensive, and the only Vita emulator out there doesn't even have it as one of the games it can play! Why me...

That sucks :( I was lucky enough to get 3 FES and 4 from a used game store some time ago fairly cheap. I have no idea what the prices are now since 5 is so popular. Maybe try your local stores? A lot of times you can get better deals than you would online.

Seriously, it's basically non-existent here. Especially in Tasmania where I live. The only variant I can find is the Arena games, and I doubt they're even in stock anymore at my closest EB.

Hey it's me again with a more recent gaming secret. I use an unlimited souls glitch in Dark Souls. It nets me 160,000 souls every 5 seconds or so. It's cheating, but it works.

You cheated etc. etc.

IMO glitching is just fine, as long as the creators of the game haven't stated otherwise. I have multiple Arceus I've obtained in Pokemon Diamond using a void-travel glitch. One of them helps make catching others easier, one's part of my Elite-Four-buster team in Ultra Moon, one's my Designated HM User in HeartGold, and one's waiting for Diamond/Pearl remakes.

Despite reading about some games in wikis and seeing them in online playthroughs, I never bought a lot of those games.

x3 and x5: I would add that cheating isn't so bad except in multiplayer games (and especially competitive ones) cause you're messing with other peoples' fun then, and people who do that are bad and should feel bad. Single player though? Go nuts.

I put a Star in a Mario Maker level that I thought no one could get to. They could.

I'm... currently looking for a Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled save that has all the time trials etc. done because the game has just reminded me of what a miserable failure I am for not having N. Tropy unlocked thanks to my suckage at time trial stuff. I know, I know, I'm a filthy cheater.

I've downloaded modded mobile games with unlimited currency, because they take too long to progress!

I habitually abuse god-mode cheats (invincibility mode) because I'm not as good a gamer as I wish. I also repeatedly use cheats in Dragon Age to improve certain characters' approval/friend points.

I beat both Tropy and Oxide and got the platinum relic in Adventure Mode on N. Gin Labs by exploiting a glitched shortcut. Now if only there were other such exploits on the rest of the tracks I have to do... ugh...

The first (and until recently, only) time I beat Terraria was on multiplayer, with rather heavy reliance on other players' assistance taking down bosses. I did eventually solo the game, thus proving myself not a wimp, but still.

The reason I beat Terraria in the first place was almost entirely because I exploited a ridiculous duplication glitch, which allowed me to get a full bar of gold hearts the moment I entered Hardmode, as well as a pair of wings and consistent full sets of armour/weapons upon finding as little as one bar of the required item.

It also helped a lot with crafting. I'm a cheat, I know.

I am absolute garbage at the lake jump shortcut on Blizzard Bluff. I need way more practice than I have if I'm going to beat that blue fucker's time.

I cheesed most of The High Road by running on the ropes on most sections of level the first time I beat it.

One time in Minecraft, I needed to clear my inventory so I threw a bunch of useless stuff into a lake of lava... along with my diamond pickaxe...

I got jump scared by friggin' Sparx of all characters. While I was just playing through some of the Reignited Trilogy, I stopped for a moment to check something on my computer. When I looked up after doing so, Sparx was way up close to the camera and waving at it (and thus me) and I about jumped out of my skin.

I made a request on r/Gamingsaves for a CTR:NF save with all the platinum relics done. Why? Because I can't get the platinum relic on Coco Park. ON EASY. So far no one has come through though and I doubt anyone ever will...
