I want a version of that song performed in the style of Drake's "0 to 100"

"zero to one nigga real quick"

EDIT: okay this is ridiculous

Some interesting observations I've seen:

  • Those doujinshi Riko had all had girls on the cover. Probably yuri
  • That mini-Honoka in the Otonokizaka scene had Tsubasa's eye colour. Hair was kind of in the middle, too

...So, the finale was the worst episode by a significant margin? Kinda ran out of budget, and most of the time was spent on a recap designed to pound the themes into the viewers heads. Having Eva flashbacks here

No confirmation on a second season that I noticed, but I'd still be surprised if it didn't happen

Overall, I quite liked the show. Nothing ground-breaking (took most of it's cues from the original), but all-around solidly made

Episode 13 (END... Or is it?):

Poor Yoshiko and her abysmal luck at Rock-Paper-Scissors...

So that's Chika's mom? She looks absurdly youthful and petite!

Recap skit, huh?

Ah, the grand finale number... And did I just see Dia wearing a goth-loli headdress?

Welp, that was open-ended... At least it wasn't a Cliffhanger that won't be resolved if the executives at Sunrise decided to end the series there.

Looking forward to any OVAs, as I still like to see "Step! ZERO to ONE". (I don't think that was the song in the Season 1 finale number.)

Also, I was checking Safebooru if they had a couple of images I recently saw on Danbooru, and I found these:

Inoffensively decent, like the first series.

Also [up][up] comparing the last episode to NGE's is a huge exaggeration. The latter literally reused bits of animation over a black screen for the most part. Not only did the former have completely new animation with lights and effects and stuff, but it also had a whole new music video. Kinda comparing apples to peanuts here.

Boring final episode indeed. The song sucked. Only the moment of the first year trio made me actually smile.

An exaggeration, yes, but the drop in animation quality was notable in both cases, and it was the change in format that reminded me of it more than anything

I think what happened was that they realized that they had signed up for 13 episodes rather than 12 late in production and so moved the music video and a few bits of attached plot here from episode 12 and had to come up with filler that could be reasonably animated with the scraps of budget they had left

Sounds plausible. The recap play was awkward and boring (if I was there in-universe I would have dozed off) and should have lost them regionals.

[up][up][up]Most of the songs aren't that great, really, but this song was one of the better ones.

What constitutes as a "bad" song for idol standards, anyway?

I really don't understand why the fandom at large seems to hate this episode. I can honestly say that it's one of the best ones in the entire show with the play and the song being the highlights.

I can't say it was an amazing episode, especially compared with the episodes preceding it, but it was still vastly superior to the first half of the season. And the finales for the original series, as well.

The play isn't a bad idea per se, but it feels out of place in a competition, it'd be tons better if they did it for a school event.

Well, I got curious about the whole crossover performance of μ's and 765Pro during Animelo Summer Live 2015. And since YouTube can be Nazi-like in enforcing copyright, I had to scour alternate video sources, which led me to these Korean video pages:

So...was that Asami Imai (Chihaya Kisaragi - Blue dress) being paired up with Suzuko Mimori (Umi Sonoda) in the second video? (At around 1:39.) Also, who else was onstage? At the very least, I can recognize:

  • Eriko Nakamura (Haruka Amami), and;
  • Emi Nitta (Honoka Kousaka) - Easiest to recognize since their friendship is well-known and being the "centers/emcees" of the combined group and all.

  • Aya Uchida (Kotori Minami);
  • Sora Tokui (Nico Yazawa), and;
  • Aina Kusuda (Nozomi Toujou) - Thanks to their hairstyles/accessories matching the characters they voice.

Other guesses:

  • Azumi Asakura (Yukiho Hagiwara) - Was that her in the white (Yukiho's image color) dress?
  • Manami Numakura (Hibiki Ganaha) - Since Ms. Imai is already in a blue dress, I'm assuming Ms. Numakura's the one wearing a turquoise (Hibiki's image color) dress.
  • Asami Shimoda (Ami/Mami Futami) - I'm assuming that's her in yellow (Ami and Mami's image color).
  • Yoshino Nanjo (Eli Ayase) - Wearing her hair in a bun to the rear of her head.
  • Pile (Maki Nishikino) - Wearing that small hat.

Can't confirm who's the one at 6:24 of the second video (in the pinkish-maroon dress beside Ms. Tokui). Rie Kugimiya? (Iori Minase, image color pink.) Yumi Hara? (Takane Shijou, image color maroon.) If anyone can confirm my guesses or fill me in on the rest, that'd be swell.

Anyway... Mind. Blown. [awesome] [tup] [tup] Would be awesome to see Aqours and 346Pro performing together in a future Animelo Summer Live.

Rikako, Riko's voice actress completely stole the first Live. She literally played the entirety of Omoi Hitotsu (the episode 11 song where she isn't present in person) on the piano, twice in two days. With less than six months of training and no prior piano experience, with her debut piano performance infront of almost 20000 fan on site and possibly several times that number worldwide through live screenings. Rikako is a badass - during the First Day, she nailed her performance to a rapturous reception from the audiences, both in the arena and in the theaters.

And then the second day happened. The Crowning Moment of Awesome Page on Love Live Sunshine sums it up. basically. Though Rikako suffered a panic attack and had to stop her performance (an eerie parallel to Riko's backstory), Chika and Mari's VA rushed up to comfort her, while the audience encouraged her on. And then she pulled off Omoi Hitotsu again for a second time.

Rikako basically stole the First Live, and Omoi Hitotsu would probably be associated with the First Live far more than the titular Step Zero to One.

From the song's title, I was expecting something like Happy Maker, but guess it is ok.

Also who the fuck is Richard?
