Cool. Swap is made.

The current quote on Tex Avery does not actually relate to Avery, but a fictional character from The Simpsons. Sure, Chester is a No Celebrities Were Harmed version of him, but I would rather use something that actually relates to Tex Avery himself, rather than a fictional No Celebrities Were Harmed version of him.

I think this on Quotes.Tex Avery can work.

There's also this quote attributed to him that can also work.

I like either of them over the current for sure. Slight preference for the quote that comes from him.

We've just had an edit war over the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure page quote, so bringing it here for more opinions:

I'm guessing the Title Drop pothole needs to go.

The edit war was actually over the attribution - the Long-Runners pothole text keeps being amended from "over 900" to whatever the latest number of episodes is, then back again.

Keep one of those two approaches? Or cut the pothole and episode count entirely?

Personally I say yeah cut the pothole entirely, it adds nothing.

The exact number will look silly as soon as it's outdated, so it's reliant on one person promising to keep updating it for as long as the manga is coming out. Even if they have good intentions about keeping it up, I don't think that's a good idea.

Cut the pothole and chapter count, there really isn't a necessity for having the total number of chapters just for someone to update it with every release.

the page quote on The Fairly OddParents! is just the entire theme song, and it's absurdly long. could we trim it down a bit? something like this?

Maybe add the "Wands and wings, floaty crowny things" at the end cuz it feels like a better closer.

Or you could just keep it even shorter with just the last line of the theme song?

Copied the Morals, Too relies way too much on the additional information to even make sense. Without the caption, it just reads like Gone Horribly Right. Cut?

Is this page quote from Killer Teddy Bear too long?

Dirty Harriet’s quote has no source and looks like it was made up by a troper. Unfortunately, there’s no quotes page and I couldn’t find anything on the examples list. Any replacement suggestions?

Page quotes aren't required, so just cutting it for now is fine.

Hobbits has an absolutely colossal quote that is several lines longer than the page image. I don't really feel like reading through it right now (I'm just posting this before I go to bed so I don't forget) but is there a shorter quote we can salvage from all that text?

Still on the long side, but at least it's only the parts that concern hobbits as a fantasy race independent of their grounding in Middle-Earth.

I like both quotes, but I think as a principle we should only change an existing quote if there is a clear issue with it. So I would vote against changing it.

I was wondering if the Osborn reference in the first one is less self-explanatory for anyone who doesn't know the franchise. Although I guess that may be less of an issue on Characters pages?

I think the quote on Rambling Old Man Monologue is too Self-demonstrating. We don't need to have an actual paragraphs-long rambling quote to depict the trope. Change to this?

YMMV.Lilo And Stitch has a pagetop quote. While funny, I don't really see the relevance.
