Longtime lurker, first-time poster.
I'm not strictly a newbie per-se, but although I have been on this site since 2017 (2 years!) this is my first post on the forums. So... welcome to the forums, me.
EDIT: Caught a typo.
EDIT #2: Welcome to the Forums, Oratel!

While my username is pretty specific, I don't intend to really stay in character-
I've been on other forums and I know people come and go often, I can't expect myself to stay long enough to really be relevant.
Anyways.
I've always been sensitive to recurring themes. I hate stereotypes. I think its because I recognize too easily when certain behaviours are repeated often, and I don't like to fall into that same behaviour.
I try to be original, but I don't think defining my identity off of that is smart. I don't think its wise to arbitrarily call myself a minority.
I think I do this to a fault, I enjoy novelty, but get bored easily. So one way I offset this is by constantly trying to improve, so that I can understand things at a higher level, or by finding new hobbies or ideas to expand my worldview/understanding.
I enjoy typography, typology (personality typing, but not in the sense you'd think), programming, graphic design, I improvise and compose music (I can't read 'sheet music' though), I speak Spanish and I'm currently learning Portuguese. those are some of my interests.
I found this website some time ago, but I wasn't interested. Now, I recognize there is more value here than I initially thought. I'm mostly looking to learn from the community, I think there is a lot of valuable information here, and I am excited to learn and participate, (for however long that might be).
Hasta pronto :)
Repetition is a good teacher. Repetition is a good teacher. — "What am I not going to see?" Is just as important as "what am I seeing?".Welcome to TV Tropes!
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Hi! I'm Pops, I joined because there aren't a lot of forums that suit my taste, but I got a good feeling about this one. I'm practicing writing and storytelling so I'll mostly stick around in the Roleplay forums. Glad to be here!
Welcome to TV Tropes. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.I don't think I actually introduced myself, here. So here I go.
Hi, I'm King Of Stickers, but you can call me whatever. You might already know me from my contributions to the Forum Games section or Yack Fest.
I'm a fan of anime, ninjas, superpowers and anything cool. My theme song is Better Off Alone.
Hehe, thanks! Also, was that pun done on purpose? ;P
Oh, lol

It wasn't, actually. XD

A great Mascot Mook.Hi everyone! Long time Troper, first time account. I am an author whose first book just came out on Friday. Would be great to see a trope page for it one day! That is the dream haha.
In the meantime, I am here to chat about my favourite authors (David Gemmell, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Frank Miller) and my favourite music (Nick Cave, the Afghan Whigs, Cold, Breaking Benjamin, Dave Hause and too many others).
Based in Bristol, UK, but from North Yorkshire.
Hope you are all doing well!
Welcome to TV Tropes. :) And congratulations on your publication!
I like to keep my audience riveted.Thank you so much!!
Welcome to TV Tropes. One of us may some day add an entry on your page. You never know! (It might even be me...)
EDIT: Just pointing out, there is a policy called The Fic May Be Yours But The Trope Page Is Ours. I'd advise you to read it just in case, because it details what authors can do with their Work pages. (This includes authors of fanfiction and authors of professional literature.)
Once again, welcome aboard.

Thank you! I remember that policy and yeah, totally cool with it. Makes sense.
Hello. I'm Shikijika585, but you can just call me Mayu note or Emily note . I'm a teenager of a vague age (is... is that how you say you're legally a minor without actually mentioning your age because mentioning my age makes me uncomfortable as heck???? help) that likes anime, video games and other stuff like that. So basically, I'm a weeb. I'm mostly a fan of Pokémonnote , Vocaloid and JoJo's Bizarre Adventurenote . I REALLY don't have much else to say other than Deerlingnote isn't even my favourite Pokemonnote .
Going back to my roots?Howdy dowdy! Iiiiiiiii'm Ditty Do in case you can't tell, and I'm super happy to be here!
Don't really know what to say about me. Been a pretty avid looker on TV Tropes as a website, and only just now realized there was even a forum for it. Here's to having fun in the near future!
Hi, I'm Sig Nature! You hear about plants? Crazy right?Just as we're glad to have you here with us. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Hi, I am AnimationAficionado, AA for short. Actually been lurking for a long time, but after seeing how many works TV Tropes has introduced me to, I finally decided to Get Known.
I am an introverted female whose main passion is, as her username implies, western animation. Top of the list is probably Gravity Falls, followed closely by The Amazing World of Gumball.
I look forward to being a member of the community and ask that you bear with me as I get the hang of things around here!
Welcome to the fun. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Hello, I'm Omega Platypus and I have been a long time lurker who has finally decided to join the site.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
Nice to meet you! Looking forward to future interactions!
"Forget what you know....Embrace the Remix."Hey. I'm Ponylovinggirl 2. I'm 25 years old (born January 6). I have got a great girlfriend and boyfriend (we are in a three way relationship). I've been reading on this site for years, and I finally decided to join. I have been on here for several days, and I decided to finally come out of my shell.
Welcome to the fun. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.Been a member for a while, mostly for keeping spoilers on.
I'm looking at the looming horizon of middle age, and best described as an underemployed financial geek type.
Don't take this place that seriously.
Hi. Im Sky. Welcome to all the new tropers.
Feels good, don't it?
Hello! I found TV Tropes several years ago, but only recently did I make an account. I've worked on Fandom (aka Wikia) wikis before and, while I still work on some of them from time to time, my enthusiasm to edit them kinda dropped. I decided to make an account here because the format and function of TV Tropes are refreshingly different from Fandom wikis.
Unsurprisingly to most, I'm an anime and manga fan. I also enjoy mysteries, historical fiction, and historical mysteries.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you have a great day. ^_^
