- Awesome Music:
- The final battle in the best ending of "Sally.exe Whisper of Soul" uses the climatic "Battle At The Journey's End" from Octopath Traveler. Fitting for a battle for Sonic's fate.
- A remix of Endless
from Vs Sonic.exe accompanies the final battle against Majin Sonic in the DLC, and it really keeps the intensity throughout, signifying how the lives of those assimilated by Majin are hanging on the line and how he's the last thing standing between Exeller and the first rune.
- Best Boss Ever: The battle against Exeller in the Good Ending of the sequel. You are able to switch between the chosen six, each with their own special ability: Tails can generate shields that are the only way to block Exeller's That One Attack. Cream is a White Mage that can restore lives as long as you have her active. Robotnik can use bombs to get rid of clones. Knuckles can counter Exeller's boulder attack. Amy is a melee combatant, but her Attack can't pierce Exeller's shield. Sally has a long-range attack that can pierce Exeller's shield, but unlike Amy, she can't rapid-fire the attack. This makes for an intense battle where all of the heroes work together and put the best out of each to save Sonic from Exeller. It also helps that the music is frickin' awesome!
- Friendly Fandoms: With Sally.exe Continued Nightmare: Eye of Three, since various gamers known for playing Sally.exe Continued Nightmare: Eye of Three (such as Mastered UI Kostas and SunFRiE) like Sonic.exe: Spirits of Hell. Even more, voice actors from the Nightmare Series (such as Dark Box, YuriHaru567, and JaizKoyz himself) voice several characters from this game (Dark Box voices Sonic, Exeller, Knuckles and Robotnik, Yuri voices Cream and Tails, and JaizKoyz voices Exetior himself in the two endings he appears (Tails' solo ending from the first game, Knuckles' solo ending from the sequel).
- Heartwarming Moments:
- The whole scene where Amy and Sally finally reconcile with one another after a long time of hating each other.
- In the DLC, Sonic is forced to watch helplessly in spirit as Tails falls for Exeller's disguise, and is genuinely worried that Tails will get killed. After Exeller temporarily leaves, however, Tails makes his escape, making Sonic happy for his little sidekick.
- At one point in the DLC, Sonic and Exeller openly talk with one another without any conflict, seeing as how neither of them need the sleep the lead Majin proposed Exeller to have.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: In the first game's worst ending, Exeller states that he's "not like the other .exes". Come the sequel, and it turns out Exeller is not a demon, like the other versions of Sonic.exe, but rather a Highest. (Exetior was a Highest, but unlike Exeller, he was turned into a demon.)
- Iron Woobie: Tails. Hoo boy. He is living into a constant nightmare, crossing the Despair Event Horizon multiple times: in his duo endings with Amy and Sally, he's Driven to Suicide, and, in his duo ending with Cream, he ends up eating Cream while she was sleeping, having Gone Mad From The Isolation (he and Cream were stuck in an elevator). He has only one hope, even when crossing the Despair Event Horizon: that the timeline will be reset, and, as such, his crossing of the Despair Event Horizon will be prevented.
- Jerkass Woobie: Exeller may be the Big Bad of the series, but most Tear Jerker moments, if they're not revolving around his interactions with Alice, at least have an effect on him.
- Moment of Awesome: Most boss fights in the game, since unlike in the original creepypasta, the playable Sonic characters are doing a damn good job at fighting back against Sonic.exe. The sequel has more awesome bosses than the first game.
Tails : "If only you guys saw me! I was pretty cool!"
- Moral Event Horizon: In the "Crazy Amy" ending.
- Amy just learned from Exeller that Robotnik killed her parents. At the end of the route, Cream's will to shoot Amy is the only thing standing between her and crossing the line by killing Robotnik. Whether or not Cream shoots Amy depends on what Tails tells her earlier about Robotnik killing her parents. If Tails tells Cream that Robotnik killed them on purpose, she hesitates in pulling the trigger and allows Amy to kill him; if Tails says Robotnik killing them was an accident, Cream shoots Amy and, after she comes back to her senses, Cream leaves with the doctor to find the Master Emerald. Amy even states, when she returns to her senses, that, if she killed Robotnik, she'd become a complete monster (especially since earlier, she killed Knuckles and Tails for not cooperating with her).
- If Tails tells Cream that Robotnik killed Amy's parents on purpose, Exeller comes close to crossing it by mortally wounding Alice. However, he realizes what he just did and uses the Magic of Forbidden Light to save her.
- Narm:
- Unless she interacts with Exeller, Alice's resets kinda ruin the mood.
- Antoine-Execun. For him, sprites were used, except for his jumpscare where a 3D render is used. The sprites are of pre-Reboot Antoine, and the 3D render is of post-Reboot Antoine.
- Nausea Fuel: Tails eating Cream in their duo ending.
