• Awesome Music:
  • The game revels in its synthpop nature, having catchy beats complemented by Vocaloid vocals that helps the game stand out on its own.
  • Special mention goes to "Stir 'n' Mix", a catchy little number thanks to its clear and easily rememberable tune. The song has ascended to memetic levels so quickly that there is a fair chance you've learned about the game thanks to it.
  • Recently, "Sidechain Fever" has gained a lot of popularity, and is a lot of players’ favorite song.
• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: You know that stick of butter Melodii brings attention to at the beginning of "Stir n' Mix"? Who expected it to suddenly grow a muscular body and start dancing and/or backhand slap you in the face?
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Nami, the rival for "Nami.WAV", for being chill, rocking the vaporwave aesthetic, and for having the honor of being the only character who is voiced by an actual actress instead of synthesized lines.
• Fandom Rivalry: People who hate Friday Night Funkin' did not hesitate to use Scratchin' Melodii as a weapon to attack that game, touting it as the "FNF killer". Naturally, this earned the ire of Melodii fans, FNF fans, and even other non-FNF fans, who saw this as too radical of a response that just puts unnecessary stress on what is supposed to be a charming rhythm game. Meanwhile, some of the more vocal FNF fans have called Melodii a FNF rip-off, despite the game being in development since 2018 while FNF started development in 2020.
• Friendly Fandoms: Naturally, Melodii fans get along well with Friday Night Funkin' fans (above controversy aside), Rhythm Heaven fans, and PaRappa the Rapper fans, due to the similarities in gameplay and charm, and it's common for fanartists to draw Melodii with Parappa and/or Boyfriend. This even got to the point where a mod was made with all three hanging out and doing each other's rhythm styles.
• Funny Moments:
  • The Vs screens. Melodii is so shocked at what’s happening that they look around trying to process everything. Including at the onscreen text.
  • Most of the mistake animations including the weird electronic "choke" noise Melodii makes. It sounds like they had a minor brain damage. Just deliberately repeatedly miss some notes when Jamtine grabs Melodii by their shirt. This game is hilarious to suck at. Special mention goes to "Sidechain Fever" where the little Puyo Bean lookalikes might suddenly interrupt Melodii by going "AAAAAAAAAAAAA".
  • The fail screens for "Nami.WAV" and "Stir n' Mix" has poor Melodii getting slapped into the retry screen by a random dolphin and the butter man.
  • "Nami.WAV" ends with Nami turning white with a "please wait..." pop up appearing next to her, as if she was a computer program freezing up. She then falls over.
  • Jamtine getting totally hyper shortly into the "Stir 'n' Mix" duel, completely with heart-shaped pupils even to the point of uncontrollable shaking frenzy during the scratching session. One may be forgiven for suspecting her of being yandere.
  • After completing the freestyle mode in "Grease Poppin'", the camera zooms to a customer gawking at a rotating 3D burger.
  • In a rather unexpected way, the butter creepily staring at Melodii can be as funny as it is disturbing.
  • The butter suddenly growing out of nowhere and busting some hella fine moves in front of Melodii and Jamtine who are totally astounded by it.
  • After achieving (and completing) the secret 3D mode with Melodii:
    "Whoa, dude, my burger's in 3D!"
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • In the preview for upcoming song "Supastar Tennis", we get to see the Sweetz Siblings having a good time with Melodii in a game of tennis, meaning they pretty much buried the hatchet after their first battle.
  • In the later portion of the song, we see Jamtine again, accompanied by her crush, who is willing to assist Melodii in the tennis game. Seems like the cookie idea from the first chapter worked after all!
• Memetic Mutation:
  • There are countless Gacha animated remakes of "Stir 'n' Mix" of varying quality. Arguably the best one seems to be the collab of Tomixity-! and Y3llow featuring surprisingly fluid animation and ramping up both characters' cuteness to the point of causing your teeth to rot rapidly the moment you begin watching it. Then there's Rozetta's animation which straight replaces Jamtine with a frenzied Yandere.
    • Rozetta also happened to make a SpyXFamily version.
• Moe:
  • Melodii, the protagonist of the game is a cute little child.
  • Jamtine is a sweet Smitten Teenage Girl who wears pink and just wants to bake cookies to give to her crush.
• Nightmare Fuel: Missing a note at any moment when Melodii mentions the butter in "Stir & Mix" results in the butter suddenly turning 3D and staring at Melodii with wide, dead eyes. Doing it again as Melodii says "I'm sure he won't!" will result in the same stare, now in 2D, but now stretched behind Jamtine and across the kitchen to the point its unnerving.
• Sequel Difficulty Spike: The 2023 version is this to the 2022 version, as the difficulty has ramped up to the point of the first level usually taking several times longer to beat than the entire 2022 version.
