• This troper knows, that casting non-binary Player Character in recent games is meant to enable the widest range of players possible ^including LGBTQ people to identify with them, but isn't outright declaring a human character being genderless going a bit too far? Especially when it's a pre-teen child in question?
  • Some nonbinary people actually describe themselves as genderless.
  • The point is that small children have too little experience to understand the concept of non-binarity. Have you ever seen a grade-schooler or a kindergartener pondering which bathroom to use? On the other hand if there was no peer pressure from legal guardians, who knows?
    • It's not implausible for a child to learn about and relate to non-binary gender. Also, McWave's has a gender-neutral bathroom that Melodii comes out of, so it helps to have that.
    • Melodii may not be a small child, as the photo in their room shows them as a baby and the Sweetz Siblings as small children, and in the game they're adults or teens, so Melodii is probably just a few years younger.
• Why are there so many people awake and on the street at 5 am? Jamtine is rushing out of her house at 5:15, which is a joke on her eagerness to meet her crush, but this means that everyone else there is awake in the middle of the night.
  • Jamtine had to be at the job interview by 3:00, so it's likely that it's not 5:00 AM, but 5:00 PM instead.
    • The 2023 demo changes the times to make more sense. She left the house at 10:15 while she was supposed to be at the interview at 11:30.
