- Considering the stuff Chris gets away with on the show, along with things like the mutations, human cloning wouldn't be too much of a stretch. After all, the producers have some form of government connections (considering they let the show film the contestants in Area 51, and the fact Chris only got arrested once TDROTI was finished), and only butt in when the challenges are too extreme. Fresh has also confirmed the series operates on an 3-year timeline on their Tumblr (which fits with Noah, Owen, and Geoff all being 19 in Ridonculous Race), meaning it's fully plausible that the clones would be toddlers by this point.
- Further evidence of this is that, in Area 51 of Total Drama World Tour, Cody confronts an alien sack that creates an identical clone of himself. What if Chris is using reverse-engineered alien technology to create the kids?
- As to why, the most likely answer is that the producers and Chris likely want a way of milking the show out while they can (and maybe something about being an secret evil organization). And considering they can't always get a bunch of 16 year olds and the first gen cast are almost in their 20s, what better way to spice things up than by focusing on a bunch of toddler versions?
- However, they're not perfect, as evident by Clone!Courtney and Clone!Owen having different colored eyes than their actual counterparts. So rather than totally shocking the audience by making this an actual season, they're presenting it as an spin-off. Chances are that the challenges probably won't be as dangerous, to both deal with Moral Guardians and expecting the kiddos to get into enough trouble on their own. It's also why the kids look closer to their "real" selves than what they would actually look as toddlers (including Clone!Duncan's hair).
- As for the likely appearance of other Fresh TV show characters (judging from Jude from 6teen being in the promo pic), this can be chalked up to their Total Drama counterparts being obvious AU counterparts and thus the same age as the clones.
- Perhaps Jude's clone was created using a sample from the vast quantity of blood he donated to try to scam some free donuts in his original show.
- To add onto this, Cody has died in several episodes - only to show up the next time completely alive and well. If we go by the above theory, then this means that Cody did die in those instances and Chris merely replaced him with another clone, or Chris managed to revive him somehow.
- Jossed unfortunately. The cast of Season 2 remains identical to that of Season 1. Wouldn't put it past them to give her a cameo in the future however.
- There will be some kind of competition between Chef's kids and Chris's kids.
- And by worse, we mean Chris is an even bigger Butt-Monkey than Chef is, because the idea of Chris having his life repeatedly ruined by toddlers is hilarious.
- We might also get characters from Grojband in there as well.
- He'll constantly try to force them into participating in Survivor show-esque games, but none of them really cares since they're kids.
- Duncan's been seen sucking a pacifier in multiple episodes and pacifiers are known to be comfort items to some children. Could he be using it as a coping mechanism while he's stuck at daycare instead of with his mom?
- Considering that his entire family are cops, his mum might be the only non-cop and thus, the only member that gives him attention.
- Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case. There have been no new additions to the cast in Season 2. But considering that we've already gotten cameos from DJ, Trent, Geoff, and Katie, I wouldn't be surprised if we got more from the other kids later on.
- It's also MacArthur's hell.
- And Chris has has own version with kiddie versions of the other eleven teens (and one character from Stoked). His and Chef's punishment in Hell for tormenting the teens in life is to be forever tormented by child versions of said teens.
- Duncan himself appears in almost every episode in some way, and is almost always portrayed as the cool rebel who rarely suffers more than a timeout, which he was shown to enjoy.
- Owen was a good friend of Duncan which is why he also appears a lot and rarely suffers in comparison to some of the other characters.
- Duncan still has or had feelings for Courtney, which is why the two get paired up sometimes, but he remembers her as being bossy and always following rules, which applies well to a preschool/daycare environment.
- Still embarrassed by being dumped by Gwen, he turned her into the weird loner kid who no one really talks to.
- Harold is still a geeky loser who everyone regularly mistreats or makes fun of.
- Cody is made out to be the "baby" of the group who also suffers pretty often, because Duncan is embarrassed about being punched out by him in World Tour.
- Izzy is crazy. That's pretty much it.
- Duncan had nothing against Bridgette personally, and as he said in Island, everyone likes her, so he made her into the "nice girl" since she was one of the nicest while he competed against her.
- Duncan may have been jealous of Noah's friendship with Owen, so while the two are still best friends, Noah is shown to be a bigger jerk than his older self. Duncan may have also needed a token "smart guy" and he refused to give Harold that honor.
- Leshawna and Duncan's brief friendship ended in Action. Leshawna in this series is shown to be a younger version of Heather. This may be because Duncan is still holding a grudge against her for the "spa day" incident, where she was being selfish, or because of her friendship with Harold, Duncan's enemy.
- Beth is also shown to be extremely greedy in this series. Duncan is playing up the greedy side he saw in the Action finale because he wants to look better when compared to his rival finalist. Either he doesn't want to lose to a sweet girl due to the embarrassment, or he doesn't want to triumph over a sweet girl because it would make him look bad, depending on the ending.
- Chef Hatchet was one of the few adults in Duncan's life who he respected, which is why he's in charge, but he routinely suffers many misfortunes too, because Duncan doesn't really like him all that much.
- MacArthur's presence is due to her being the officer in charge of overseeing his community service. The two actually develop an unlikely friendship. At first, he didn't like her much, which is why she was miserable in her first appearance, but he eventually warmed up to her.
- Jude's presence is because of his friendship with MacArthur. She mentions that Jen Masterson from 6Teen was her babysitter. It's possible that MacArthur met Jen's other friends, including Jude who would likely be her favorite. She's talked about Jude before, so he included him in his stories.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, the contestants used for DramaRama are all aware of the show and their opinions of it are mixed. Owen likes the show; Izzy thinks the whole thing is hilarious; Bridgette thinks it's alright; Gwen despises the show for its depiction of her; Courtney hates it because of the unauthorized use of her image; Duncan thinks its dumb but likes how he's depicted; Noah thinks it is incredibly asinine; Leshawna doesn't like it but mostly just thinks its weird; Harold is more annoyed by its not-100%-accurate depiction of him than anything else; Beth thinks it's okay is weirded out by her depiction; and Cody is confused by the show and its depiction of him.
- I think it's more likely that the writers deemed that he would be "too much" for the child characters to handle. Think about it: If he were their daycare manager or a child among them, chances are, for his pleasure, he would put them through gruelling "trials". Considering his personality it's totally possible.
- Heather in contrast to Lashawna would have become a lot nicer or at the very least play her positive qualities up.
