Eve is an android
  • Eve is shown doing superhuman feats of agility, durability and strength in the trailers, most notably fighting after getting thrown into space. Many trailers also avoid talking about her origins, pointedly saying that Adam was born on Earth but not saying Eve was born herself. Thinking about the future is something she hasn't put to much effort into, which is fitting for somebody artificial.
    • In-game dialogue from the demo seems to support this, with Tachy referring to Eve's "body frame" taking damage, and later Adam indicating that he had repaired it.
    • Confirmed. Not just Eve, but all humans you see that aren't dead are Andro-Eidos, making them equivalent to Nier's Replicants.

Alternatively, Eve is a Cyborg
While the rest of her body is artificial, perhaps a part of her is still human. Similar to Ghost in the Shell, Eve has her Brain in a Jar.

The Armor
  • The reason that Eve's armor is so skimpy is that it's preferrable not to get hit at all. The Naytiba are parasitic aliens about as virulent as the Zerg, so if you get hit at all, you're hooped anyways. With little armor, you rely on dodging and hope that it will protect you from any lucky hits. Furthermore, it's possible that the armor is made of an ultralight substance that's durable without being heavy, which grants protection without weighing overmuch.

There is more than one Alpha Naytiba
The one that kills Tachy will give Eve a case of PTSD the second time they meet, but becomes a proper It's Personal when she finally kills it. Just when she celebrates, a whole horde of them come out to deal with her.
  • There are multiple Alphas, but not multiple Winged Alphas. It is actually Raven, a former member of the Second Airborne Division who learned the Awful Truth of the war and had a Faceā€“Heel Turn.

Alpha Naytiba origins
Alpha Naytiba are made from fallen members of previous airborne squads. The original "Project EVE" reveal trailer showed an enemy version of Tachy that Adam identified as an Alpha Naytiba. In addition, the first one encountered in the game itself also has vaguely feminine features. As such, more than this indicating that Tachy was turned into one, this could indicate that all Alpha Naytiba are made this way.
  • Confirmed, but only in two cases. Tachy was indeed turned into an Alpha Naytiba by sticking her with the core of one. Meanwhile, the unidentified Alpha that caused Tachy's capture in the first place is revealed to be Raven from the Second Airborne squad, using a Naytiba as a form of Bio-Armor.

The Reveal of the Naytiba
  • The Naytiba aren't extraterrestrials: they're either a human-made Synthetic Plague that went beyond their original intention or a form of Gaia's Vengeance because of And Man Grew Proud. The fact that they were previously called an obviously Punny Name "NA:tives" during the game's production and early promotion adds to the likelihood that SHIFT UP didn't want The Reveal to be too obvious that these creatures aren't from the stars.
    • Confirmed. The Naytibas were originally humans who genetically modified themselves to gain the power to fight the androids of Mother Sphere, the Andro-Eidos, who are now the mistakenly thought "humans" of present day. That said, while the Andro-Eidos were repelled, the Naytibas are little more than animals now.

Collaborations with other games
While it's likely they'll have one with their sister game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, it would likely be nano suits to resemble characters from Nikke not just for EVE, but Adam and Lily.
