Vs. Singe and Sear is a Friday Night Funkin' Game Mod created by Summus (who also made Tales From The Raveyard). One night, Boyfriend receives a mysterious text from an unknown number, claiming to be a big fan of his and wishes to sing with him at a nearby bar alone. Boyfriend heads to the bar alone to confront the mysterious person, despite the concern of this being a trap for something bad. At the bar, the mysterious person seems to be talking to someone, but it quickly gets pushed back when Boyfriend arrives to confront the fan. It turns out that this person's name is Singe, a woman who was a fan of his since a rap battle he had at the subway station, and she's nervous as hell. She seems to want to tell Boyfriend something but Cannot Spit It Out, but there's also a dark secret she's hiding.

The mod can be downloaded on GameBanana here!

This mod provides examples of:

  • Alliterative Title: Singe and Sear
  • Berserk Button: Anyone who hurts Singe's feelings will face Sear's fiery wrath.
  • The Cameo: Static and Cyrus are in the background of the Cooldown Week. Pompom also appears, but cannot be seen because Singe is in the way.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Although they're from different creators, Singe is a notable Foil to Sky. They are both fangirls who have feelings for Boyfriend, but they approach him differently. Sky shifted into Boyfriend's dimension out of nowhere and was really excited to see the blue haired rapper, while Singe sent a text to Boyfriend to meet up with her all while being a nervous wreck. Sky is only slightly taller than Boyfriend with bright blue hair, large purple eyes, and a white shirt with a checkmark, while Singe is much taller with black hair, and dark clothing. The way they handle Boyfriend's rejection is also different. Sky was angry to hear Boyfriend was already dating and tried to kill Girlfriend, whereas Singe accepted the rejection and was okay with just being friends. But Sear tried to kill Boyfriend for hurting her feelings.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: While Singe's appearance is that of a goth girl, she is not a bad girl by any means. It's her friend Sear you should be worried about.
  • The Determinator: Sear is willing to fight Boyfriend as long as she has to in order to get her revenge. The only thing that stops her is hearing the police sirens.
  • Fiery Redhead: Sear is a literal example, as her body is entirely red and engulfed in flames. She also has serious anger issues.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Singe is 19 years old while Sear is a spirit who died at 32 years old.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While not particularly kind to Boyfriend, Singe claims that Sear is nice once you get to know her. This is evidenced by how she affectionately calls Singe "sweetie" when they leave.
  • Never Going Back to Prison: Sear stops her Roaring Rampage of Revenge when she hears the police siren and claims that she can't go back to prison. When she was locked up or what she did is never stated.
  • The Power of Love: It's believed that this is the way to break Sear's curse. There's only one problem: Boyfriend is already dating.
  • Shrinking Violet: Singe to a t. She's a very shy girl who once Boyfriend arrives, is very flustered and finds it hard to tell him her feelings.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: Singe is very flustered around Boyfriend. Her idle animation in "Heartburn" is very notable.
  • Written-In Absence: Girlfriend is not present in this mod because Boyfriend was told to come alone.
