Granny Simulator is a two-player video game published by Nick Kestle on Steam, where two players at minimum play as either a Granny or Grandson; the former going about her day to complete their daily routine, while the latter commits acts of violence against their grandmother to try and kill her. Twisted hi-jinks is sure to ensue.

This game features the following Tropes:

  • Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: The Side Effects Include... message for the bottle of pills that is the first task of level three mention that Granny will experience anger, insanity and/or craving for human flesh.
  • Destination Defenestration: With a well-positioned Granny kick, the Grandson can be sent flying outside the window to give Granny more downtime between attacks. The upstairs hallway in particular features a wall-encompassing window at the end to make this feat rather easy.
  • Enfant Terrible: The entire premise is that Granny's under the threat of a child who wishes to kill her.
  • Failure Is the Only Option: The Granny becomes subject to this in the last task of the Halloween level if things go wrong for them. Dropping too many cookies and having little to no offering for the demon upon delivering the tray and lighting the alter will result in the demon targeting them instead of their grandson, with the only alternative being the usual Game Over for Granny.
  • House Fire: In the Halloween level, if Granny fails to get back to the stove after leaving the cookies to be baked, it'll catch fire and begin to spread across the whole house, resulting in a Game Over for Granny and an Instant-Win Condition for the Grandson.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Granny in level three becomes this as a result of some suspicious pills, with their ultimate task being eating their grandson.
  • Made of Iron: Granny can take quite a lot of abuse before being considered dead, from being stabbed, bludgeoned, impaled, and blown up, yet still standing on two legs with no drawbacks to their stamina.
  • Obligatory Swearing: Played for Laughs with the on-screen text for kicking the grandson away and winning as Granny, reading "Press Space to launch that little shit" and "Granny wins! That kid sucks ass!" respectively.
  • Off with His Head!: The third and final time cannibal Granny grabs and eats at their grandson results in the latter's head popping off.
  • Precision F-Strike: Aside from the Obligatory Swearing elsewhere, the mission objectives are normally absent of profanity. The notable exception is level three, where the Grandson's objective drops a "Holy shit!" in response to Granny biting their grandson's arm off, signifying that things took a turn.
  • Punched Across the Room: Granny's method of dealing with their grandson at close range: winding their foot back before delivering a strong kick that launches the Grandson with ungodly force.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: The successful outcome of level three for the Grandson. The cannibalistic Granny has been put down by the authorities, but the Grandson is still bleeding out from their missing arm, and is thus likely to die from blood loss before getting any possible help from said authorities — which can exactly happen if you let the timer play out after winning.
  • Scatterbrained Senior: A regular Granny task in the first level is taking the dementia pills so that they'll remember what they have to do next.
  • Shout-Out: Two of the unlockable costumes for both Granny and Grandson is the mask of H 2 O Delirious and the demon horns plus cross eye of CaRtOoNz, two YouTubers who played the game at the time of release.
  • Sprint Meter: Granny's painfully slow, yet she can run faster than normal within the limits of her stamina bar. Said stamina is rather costly, along with being slow to recover.
  • Timed Mission: After getting their arm torn off by a hungry Granny in level three, there's a constant ticking down timer indicating how long the Grandson has before bleeding out completely, requiring them to call the authorities to deal with Granny before then.
  • Wham Episode: Level three starts off relatively standard for the Grandson, with the goal of killing Granny in a new location. But then things start getting ominous once Granny takes her pills, with the area suddenly getting darker overtime and Granny displaying some odd behavior, culminating in Granny tearing their grandson's arm off, with the Grandson's new goal being to call the cops before they either bleed to death or get eaten by Granny.
