Gloria is a Minecraft adventure map.
The hero is one of the shipwrecked survivors from the S.S. Gloria. While searching for supplies in the ship's cargo hold, they unlock a secret room and discover that the Gloria is part of something much bigger...
This map contains examples of:
- Attack Its Weak Point: To kill the Heart, you have to shoot its three veins.
- Crapsack World: The last humans are being hunted down by the Corruption, hidden in various terminals that are being destroyed one by one.
- Evil Is Visceral: The Corruption is represented by already-fleshlike Nether materials, and the final boss is a giant heart.
- Flunky Boss: The Heart doesn't actually do anything except spawn monsters.
- Gotta Catch 'Em All: There is a large amount of gold and lapis lazuli to find. Finding all the lapis is necessary to get the true ending.
- Just Before the End: The world is slowly but inexorably being taken over by the Corruption. You eventually manage to destroy it and save the few surviving scraps of civilization left.
- Minecart Madness: Just like every adventure map worth its salt. (It's the train between Terminals, in case you were wondering.)
- Mooks, but no Bosses: There's technically the Heart, but it's just a series of immobile targets that you shoot while fighting a horde of tough enemies.
- One-Letter Name: Both of the Doctors are known only by their last initial.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Specifically, Terminal C. Apparently, the Corruption taking it over wasn't enough, it had to blow it up as well.
- The Virus: The Corruption. Apparently, zombies are actually corruoted people.
- Zerg Rush: The Heart hits you with nearly every mob in the game at once. And it only gets more insane the more damage you do.
