"Hey there! Welcome to my school! I don't get many visitors, so I'm glad to have you here!"

Dave's Fun Algebra Class is a Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning Game Mod series that replaces all the characters with Expies that have slightly altered mechanics.

There are five mods in the DFAC series - the original Dave's Fun Algebra Class, Dave's Fun Algebra Class 2 (with a remaster of the former putting both together), Dave's House, Dave's Dream, and Vs. Dave and Bambi, the last of which is modded from Friday Night Funkin', a cutesy yet adult-themed rhythm game, far opposed to the edutainment and horror genres that the other entries' source material is in. That mod also has its own page, so jump over there for tropes specific to it.

Hey there! Welcome to my page! Tropers don't visit me that often, so I'm glad you're here!

  • Adapted Out: As of the remaster of Dave's Fun Algebra Class, Garrett no longer exists in the game due to issues with his creator, being replaced with Spike.
  • Antagonist Title: Like its main source material, the main antagonist Dave's name is prominently in the title of all five mods.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: While holding the paper out to solve questions in Dave's Fun Algebra Class Remastered, you can still move around, which helps when Dave is really close by.
  • Birthday Episode: Dave's House takes place the day before Tristan's birthday, with presents hidden around the titular house. In a pre-release version of the game, it's instead on the big day itself, with the player tasked to gather some supplies for Tristan's big birthday party.
  • Boss Battle: As of Version 1.3 of Dave's House, Tristan can actually fight his dad in a two-phase boss fight, armed with only a blaster gun and his agility.
  • Cast of Expies: Everyone in the series (save perhaps for Tristan) is clearly a slight modification and reskin of a Baldi's Basics character - e.g. Diamond Man is Arts & Crafters with no 7-notebook activation requirement, Gotta Sleep is Gotta Sweep but he puts you to sleep, the Green Alien Monitor is just a green Principal of the Thing, and so on.
  • Composite Character: Dave himself is built on both Baldi and 1st Prize, taking the former's love of math and role as the one who can give you a Game Over and the latter's movement patterns and robotic-sounding voice.
  • Damage-Proof Vehicle: Subverted in Dave's House. Tristan can use a butter knife to damage Dave's wheelchair, forcing him to temporarily stop his pursuit to repair it. In addition, if you stop him in DFAC Remastered with a USB With a VIRUS! in your inventory, his wheelchair will spin uncontrollably on the spot.
"What the-?! My wheelchair has a virus! Stay right here; give me a second to fix it."
  • Death by Adaptation: Garrett (the It's A Bully Expy) dies between DFAC 1 & 2.
  • Everything Is an iPod in the Future: In DFAC 2 (and DFAC Remastered's upcoming Future Mode), instead of papers, you're running around collecting computers.
  • No Fair Cheating: If you get Dave thrown out of the school and glue the front door to stop him from returning in DFAC Remastered, he'll take note of you trying to beat the game without him, expressing a Tranquil Fury and initiating a Cheater Mode to make you pay for your action.
"I know what you're trying to do. There is a special place in hell for cheaters like you. HAVE FUN."
  • Pie in the Face: This can happen if you throw a pie at Dave in Dave's House, leaving him unable to move or catch you while he's blinded.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Robot Garrett, who was built after the real one died.
    • Spike is one of these in a more meta sense.
  • Time Skip: While it's not made clear how much time passes between the two DFAC games / DFAC Remastered's modes, Dave remarks that he hasn't seen you in a while when you enter the school.
"Hey, you're back at my school. Haven't met you in a while. Go ahead and do some of the math!"
  • Token Good Teammate: In Dave's House, an orb-like character called the Item Planet can give the player a free item upon touching it, essentially reversing the bully role from Baldi's Basics. It even questions whether or not the player thought it would steal their items. It might accidentally steal an item, though, but will simply ask you not to rely on it as much.

"Well, I guess you reached the page's end. Go and try some fresh air and come back whenever you'd like."
